Chapter 404: Chapter 404: All is Black
After she finished speaking, there was a long silence on the other end.
Tiffany Lynch’s words were indeed very misleading.
But the reason Louis Snyder believed her was because he remembered what she said when they had dinner with Hannah that day.
An accident?
So, is this what the accident meant?
Did Hannah really take action?
From the moment the call ended, Louis seemed somewhat distracted. The director had to call "cut" several times during the filming of his scenes.
He started to get a little anxious, "I’m sorry, director."
Perhaps because Louis had always performed well before, the director didn’t think much of it, dismissed it as him just not being in a good condition, and waved him off to rest.
A few girls from the crew, even the female lead, gathered around out of concern, asking him if he wasn’t feeling well.
It was summer, and the mixed scent of everyone’s perfume was particularly pungent.
Suppressing the nausea rising in his chest, Louis forced a smile, "I am fine, just feeling a bit dizzy and want to rest for a bit."
Upon hearing his reassurance, the female lead asked, "Do you want me to help you to the resting room?"
She asked while already taking hold of Louis’s wrist.
Louis’s smile stiffened, and he pulled his hand away, "No need."
After saying that, he turned around and strode away.
The actor wore his black robe in a way that exuded an innocent, boy-next-door vibe. Even in the scorching summer heat, it put forth a crystal clear tranquility.
Many of the female crew members had a secret crush on him.
He headed straight for the restroom and locked the door.
Lous turned on the faucet, scrubbing the spot on his wrist that had been touched over and over until his skin turned red and started to break. He couldn’t stop.
Just thinking about that touch and those people’s gazes made him want to vomit.
He opened his eyes and looked at his reflection in the mirror.
Beneath the youthful visage, his eyes were dark.
He pulled back his lips in a smile, that smile was pure and inoffensive, like clear spring water in the mountains, always giving people a sense of innocence.
But he himself knew, he was dark inside.
Hannah’s judgment of Louis Snyder was spot on - he was like a black lotus with white petals and a black center.
Selfish, ruthless, obsessed with his own beliefs. He could exploit anyone without remorse, even if they genuinely cared for him.
The area on his wrist that he had scrubbed was red and burning.
The boy closed his eyes, and scenes he had dreamed of countless times emerged before him.
In the dim light, a figure with a svelte body swayed gracefully closer, her slim waist moving with the wind, her eyes glowing, every move filled with allure.
Cold droplets of water slid down his cheek and disappeared into his collar.
The boy dialed a number that he knew by heart.
The first call went unanswered.
He persistently dialed again.
This time, the call was picked up just before it would have been disconnected.
There was a rustling sound from the other end, like someone getting dressed. After a moment, a vague female voice asked, "Who is it?"
Louis clenched his hand around his phone, raised his voice gently, "Sister, it’s me."
Hannah seemed still half-asleep, glanced at the contact name on her phone – ungrateful wolf.
She giggled, "So, it’s you Louis, what’s the matter?"
As she spoke, she yawned.
In the mirror, the boy’s eyes shone like the darkest stars, conveying a sense of darkness. He tried to sound aggrieved, "Sister, you promised to come see me on set."
