Chapter 378: Chapter 378: Pull Away

She pointed to a nearly invisible scar on her face.

The doctor, being slightly near-sighted, thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. So he took out his glasses, put them on, and took a closer look.

About half a minute later, he concluded, "You’re too late."

Hannah’s eyes widened, "Wha... what do you mean?"

The doctor kept a straight face, "I mean you’re late. The wound has already healed. If you had come earlier, I could have given you a free band-aid."

Hannah was still in doubt, "Are you sure I don’t need to apply some medicine? Anything will do, really. Does this mean I can’t use facial masks for a few days? Can I still apply makeup?"

The kind doctor provided answers to all her questions.

But Hannah’s actions were so peculiar that they attracted a crowd.

Louis had only come to the hospital to get some medicine for his cold. From afar, he saw a familiar figure amidst the crowd.

He was a bit uncertain at first, but upon hearing her familiar voice, Louis immediately walked over.

He quickly pulled Hannah out of the crowd, not forgetting to apologize to the doctor and the nurse.

The doctor just waved him off, his smile warm, "As a boyfriend, you need to be more attentive to your girlfriend’s feelings."

Louis felt a bit awkward, and without explaining, just nodded in response.

Hannah watched from the side, Louis holding her hand. When she saw him chatting with the doctor, she immediately looked unhappy, "I haven’t even put on any medicine yet, and you... Hey, where are you taking me?"

Louis pulled Hannah straight out of the hospital.

When they reached a secluded corner in a nearby park, he finally let go of Hannah’s hand and then started to inspect her carefully, "Were you hurt?"

Once reminded of this issue, Hannah’s face immediately darkened, "Yes, severely injured!"

Louis frowned with worry, "Why didn’t you tell me earlier? Where were you hurt?"

Hannah let out a huff and pointed to her face.

Louis couldn’t make anything out so he leaned in for a closer look.

Under the sunlight, her bare cheeks were as smooth and tender as tofu, radiating a faint pink hue, reminiscent of the beautiful color of flower petals.

The faint, bewitching scent kept creeping into his nose. Louis dared not even breathe, his face turning a slight shade of red.

His fingertips jittered momentarily. Suddenly, he wanted to know if the pinkness on Hannah’s face was because of rouge.

But as his hand started to move towards her face, Hannah looked up at him and he withdrew his hand.

Sensing Louis’s unusual action, Hannah furrowed her brows, but she did not dwell on it. After all, the most important issue at the moment was her face, "How is it? The wound is severe, isn’t it?"

Louis was caught off guard and didn’t know how to respond.

But Hannah was still looking at him, he could only mumble, "It’s okay."

"What do you mean by ’it’s okay’?" Hannah looked disappointed in him, "Since it’s not your face, of course you’re not concerned." 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

After saying that, she pulled out a small mirror to inspect her injury in the sunlight.

When Tiffany threw the teacup at Hannah, she was quick to dodge. Her only miscalculation was not taking into account the shards that would fly out when the cup shattered, injuring her.

Louis stood behind her, where with a slight dip of his head he could see her slender and elegant neck, its cold white hue, easy enough to encircle with one hand, "No."

Hearing the noise, Hannah asked without turning back, "What are you mumbling about?"

Louis opened his mouth, but he still couldn’t utter those words.

A question lingered in his heart.

He wanted to ask Hannah if what happened that night was only a dream, or if she had actually come.
