Chapter 346: Chapter 346: Not Without Temper

That night, the quarrel between Reese Shaw and Violet Lee spread like a juicy piece of gossip.

Even Lucy Taylor couldn’t resist asking Hannah about it.

Hannah, who was busy applying various skincare products on her face, took a moment to respond after hearing Lucy’s words, "They did have a fight, likely over whether Tiffany Lynch or I will be the C-position."

Lucy looked puzzled as she sat down, "From what I remember, Ms. Lee is always kind and doesn’t seem like the type to argue with others."

"You’re wrong about that," Hannah said; "Just because someone typically has a good temper doesn’t mean they can’t lose it."

Lucy pouted, "That’s not what I meant."

The two didn’t chat for long, and seeing Hannah engrossed in her novel again, Lucy grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom.

Not long after, Lucy heard voices from outside the door, a familiar sound, but she could not remember who it belonged to.

It was probably someone from their group of trainees.

It seemed like they were looking for Hannah.

Though her shower was running, Lucy couldn’t quite make out the conversation.

Outside the door.

Hannah didn’t seem too surprised at May Hoffman’s sudden visit, "You’re looking for me, something up?"

May stood off to one side, her hair slightly disheveled, dark circles under her eyes.

Because of her previous manipulation with Tiffany Lynch against Hannah in the theme song evaluation, she had been demoted to a substitute position, completely disadvantaged in song selection.

Seeing Hannah’s face, May’s gaze dimmed, "Hannah Winter, we’re still classmates, aren’t we?"

Hannah turned her head to look at her, tilting her head, indicating for her to continue.

May bit her lip, her voice shaking as she spoke, "Help me."

She had once thought that as long as she could participate in ’Shining Star Journey 2’, she could shine. Each trainee probably thought the same before participating.

That they could become famous, they could debut.

She paid a price for this but found that she still didn’t get what she wanted, unlike Hannah...

May stood, while Hannah sat in front of her, almost in a superior position, and yet from May’s perspective, she felt inferior to the person in front.

Hannah propped her head with her hand, her eyes slightly squinted as she looked at May, her voice soft and confusing, "Are you begging me?"

May forced herself to meet those eyes, her voice sounding as if it was being squeezed out from her throat, hoarse, "Yes, I beg you."

She really couldn’t find anyone else to turn to.

This solo performance was really significant for her, singing was not her forte.

Especially a song of such high difficulty.

She just wanted to stay in the show a little longer.

Hannah stood up to pour herself a glass of water before coming back. She sat with her legs crossed, watching the person in front of her, "May Hoffman, do you think I’ll help you?"

Her heart, which was already on edge, felt like it was suddenly yanked and then released.

She was still left anxious and unsure.

That smile, still filled with undisguised malice, and even a hint of amusement, resembled a devil playing with the people in its world, watching ants struggle on the ground.

May stood there, her head lowered, looking gloomy as usual, her eyes determined, and her lips almost bloodless.

It seemed like it took a massive amount of courage for her to raise her head, "Hannah Winter, considering we are classmates, I just want more people to see me. I’m not as lucky as you, with your skills..." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Hannah remained calm and composed, her cool fingertips tapping gently on the armrest of the chair.

She didn’t say a word.
