Chapter 344: Chapter 344: Still So Confident
She caught Violet Lee’s gaze, seeing astonishment and a touch of resentment in her eyes, deepening the smile at her lips.
Violet looked down, contemplating something, then finally nodded.
Leaning against the cold wall behind her, Hannah’s bare face conveyed an impression of innocent harmlessness, yet her delicately lifted eye corners hinted at a contrastingly devious spirit.
It was oddly oppressive.
Withdrawing her gaze from Violet, her eyes suddenly softened, and her voice carried an elusive charm, "I can see that you genuinely want to train us trainees well, but we live in an era driven by popularity. Talent is less important than popularity. Even if you’re highly skilled, people won’t listen to you without camera time, am I right?"
"That’s not..." Violet subconsciously wanted to argue, but ended up agreeing with Hannah’s point.
Without urge for a quick response, Hannah just smiled faintly, "Ms. Lee, you are a good teacher, I believe you can do it, right?"
Do what?
Hannah didn’t spell it out, but Violet knew what she meant.
Her gaze became somewhat distant.
From the classroom, the scolding of the trainees by Reese Shaw reached her ears.
Whether it was Reese’s remarks, or her teaching movements, they were filled with flaws, providing little help to the trainees in any practical terms.
She was only doing it to satisfy her vanity.
Yet, many trainees were willing to take Reese’s classes.
Despite receiving no camera time by the show’s arrangement, the trainees in her class were apathetic and nonchalant, disregarding her instructions.
At this notion, Violet’s hand tightened slightly on her trouser seam.
Right, even though Reese’s skills were inferior to hers, whilst she was once her teacher; it was glancingly clear that Reese didn’t care for their former bond as teacher and student, belittling her on the show.
Even her words were contradicted by Reese.
Yet, people online defended Reese, some even questioning her skills as a professional choreography teacher.
But she had to endure it all.
Her hand that was gripping her trouser seam suddenly loosened, as if a decision had been made.
Looking at Hannah, her eyes were filled with a hint of amusement, her voice was as gentle as usual, yet held a certain emotion that was not present before, "Your dance moves are probably still unfamiliar, may I teach you?"
The amusement in Hannah’s eyes spread, she lifted the corners of her mouth, "Thank you, Ms. Violet Lee."
*
Reese notified the show’s production team that very day about selecting Tiffany Lynch as the center, the producer didn’t openly object and told Reese to think it over.
Of course, Reese didn’t understand what he meant.
The next day, when class started, Violet Lee was present.
Hannah and Tiffany were standing side by side, perhaps feeling confident about securing her position as center, Tiffany had a smug expression on her face.
She even gave Hannah a glance, "Hannah Winter, like I told you, it’s not certain yet who will win."
Hannah curved her lips into a smile, giving her a meaningful glance, "Such confidence, good for you."
Tiffany Lynch was experiencing what it felt like to be annoyed but unable to strike back.
She even had to force herself to return a smile.
It felt like an accumulated day-long of anger was about to burst out, only to be extinguished by a bucket of cold water.
Suppressed and unbearable, it was as if she were filled with a congestion in her heart, wishing to grit her teeth to dust.
