Chapter 331: Chapter 331: Time to Go Back

Her words were playful, her eyebrows and eyes full of laughter.

Golden Lotus blinked, not understanding Hannah’s teasing words, only feeling that their master seemed to dislike the imperial royalty very much.

By the time it reacted and wanted to say something, the bedroom door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

Arnold Simmons walked in, his eyes immediately landed on Hannah, who was putting on makeup. His initially cold expression instantly softened.

He walked over, his tall figure casting a dark shadow that enveloped the delicate little woman, "It’s time for lunch."

Hannah put away her small mirror, turned, and affectionately hugged his neck, her head tilting, her eyes gleaming, her voice soft and sweet, "Mr. Simmons, I will be leaving today."

There was reluctance in her words, and a rare soft layer of sadness had settled in her eyes.

It seemed that Arnold Simmons hadn’t reacted yet; he slightly furrowed his brows and asked, "Leaving for where?"

Hannah widened her eyes, tightening her hand slightly, "Mr.Simmons, I have to go back to record the show, have you forgotten?"

Arnold Simmons’ expression faltered, his smile slightly receding.

Right, these last couple of days he had spent with Hannah, he’d almost forgotten that she was still recording a show.

Somehow, he thought of the days when Hannah was not around and felt a little reluctant.

He gently patted her fluffy hair, his voice deep and powerful, "Then go. Be smart this time and don’t get bullied."

He thought habit was indeed a terrifying thing.

He even had a momentary thought of having his beloved Hannah retire from the contest. He could support her for life so she wouldn’t have to do anything.

However, when he thought of the brightness in her eyes when she appeared on camera...

She truly enjoyed this feeling.

How could he bear to extinguish the light in her eyes?

With a silent sigh in his heart, he embraced the woman in front of him, his head bowed low against her soft and delicate cheek.

Hannah nestled in Arnold Simmons’ embrace, her voice muffled but joyful, "Since my ’Golden Master’ is here, who would dare to bully me?"

Her words, still haughty, nevertheless pleased Arnold Simmons.

The man gently rubbed the top of the girl’s head, his gaze dark but full of near-obsessive affection, "Be good, I’ll come see you."

Hannah looked up at him and smiled sweetly, "Great, you must come watch my performance. Then you’ll know how good I am."

He lowered his gaze to meet Hannah’s, pressed his hand against her cheek with some force, his voice hoarse, gentle, and affectionate, "Ok."

The girl then laughed and threw herself back into his arms, beginning to tell him about the funny incidents she had encountered on her show.

She said many people liked her, liked her face, and complimented her on her beauty.

She was overjoyed, but she felt the one who profited most was him, since he had the world’s most beautiful woman.

The man listened quietly, his gaze focused on the girl in his arms with tenderness, occasionally giving her soft hair a gentle stroke.

He thought, his beloved girl was indeed very beautiful, although her small, red mouth could elicit both love and frustration.

But if one day she really left him, his heart would be filled with not only reluctance, but also a deep-seated possessiveness.

He didn’t want her to leave his sight, yet he forcefully suppressed this frightening innate character, tightly locking up the beast in his heart.

He wanted to see her vibrant and lively, not locked in a cage.
