Chapter 327: Chapter 327: Lack Self-confidence?

Although he was blessed with beautiful eyes, they carried an inherent coldness and aloofness.

The bloodthirsty beast only retracted its fangs for one person, and such an emotion filled with obsessive possession often stirred people’s hearts more than those empty and insincere displays of love.

Hannah gazed intently at the man before her. With just a flutter of her eyelashes, she unleashed a lively and charming smile. Softly, she placed her little hand on the back of his hand, her voice sweet, "I didn’t intend to do anything."

As she spoke, her eyes curled up like crescent moons.

Those eyes were always so clear and pure.

Leaving Arnold Simmons helpless.

He leaned in, caressing the supple chin of the girl with his calloused fingers. With only a bit of force, he lifted her delicate, charming face, instantly closing the distance between them.

His gaze fell unrestrainedly onto the girl’s face as he murmured, "Little liar."

His little girl kept secrets and refused to tell him, but he wasn’t in a hurry to ask.

Although he had stepped away during the cocktail party, he only had to glance back to spot where his girl was positioned.

Similarly, he didn’t miss the expression in George River’s eyes. He understood too well what George was thinking since they were both men.

Seeing his girl approach this man without any hesitation, he discovered that he too was acting like a dumbfounded boy, unable to control his instinct to assert his claim.

It was more accurate to say that he was mad at himself, than at Hannah.

He thought, she will ultimately be his. Since he coveted her, he had no intention of letting go, even if it meant a catastrophic end.

The feelings in the man’s eyes were intense, as if they had spun a grand net, ensnaring the girl before him with a terrifying sense of possession.

There was nowhere to escape.

Yet Hannah seemed unaware, still giggling charmingly and sprightly, nestling in the man’s chest. She said, "Mr. Simmons, I’m very loyal. Recognizing you as my sugar daddy, I won’t go looking for anyone else."

As she spoke, she brought out a silver lighter and placed it in Arnold Simmons’s hand.

The ostensibly cold metal casing was now warmed by the girl’s touch.

He took it but didn’t light up the cigarette in his hand. Instead, he clenched them both, "Is it just for being a sugar daddy?"

Hannah looked up at him, her breath falling on the man’s face. Her voice was lighter than usual, "Mr. Simmons, do you want to be my boyfriend?"

The man didn’t respond, but his gaze was a condensed inky black, shockingly dark.

He rolled the car window down, casually throwing the cigarette and its lighter into a trash can out on the street.

The muffled sound seemed abrupt in the parking lot. Even the chauffeur in the distance looked over, but retreated farther away when the car window was rolled up again.

Inside the car, Arnold Simmons put his arm around the soft, slender waist of the girl before him. With just a little pull, she was entirely in his lap. "I’ve quit smoking. Don’t let me catch you being unfaithful. Otherwise, ..."

The man paused, leaning in to whisper in the girl’s ear.

Finally, he met the girl’s slightly bewildered gaze and her flushed earlobe. The smile on his lips was teasingly dangerous, but his deep black eyes were filled with affection.

Hannah rested in the man’s embrace, simply lowering her gaze to see the man’s handsome face.

As their eyes met, Hannah lifted her hand to touch the corner of the man’s eyebrow, lightly tapping, "Mr. Simmons, are you not confident in yourself?"

As her voice faded, a low chuckle rose suddenly. The smile on Arnold Simmons’ lips deepened, his beautiful eyes filled with profound understanding.
