Chapter 300: Chapter 300: Fainting
Richard Lee snorted coldly, "She lacks acting skills and has a pretty bad temper."
Actually, Richard Lee was being rather understated; if he were more direct, he could list a plethora of Tiffany Lynch’s flaws.
Having finished speaking, Richard Lee then turned to Jackie Qualls, furrowing his brow, half-joking and half-serious, "You’re not planning on having me give this Tiffany Lynch preferential treatment, are you?"
Upon hearing this, Jackie stilled, the look in his eyes suddenly becoming colder.
He recalled how he had undoubtedly made use of his connections in his previous life to aid Tiffany Lynch, whether it was for films or brand endorsements.
For Tiffany Lynch, he was even willing to lower his own worth.
The first movie that Tiffany Lynch worked on was directed by Richard Lee.
He had acted as a middleman.
Back then, although Tiffany Lynch had come up through the ranks from being a child actress, she hadn’t acted in a long time; her acting wasn’t very good and could even be described as clumsy and awkward.
When she was ridiculed by the online crowd, he stepped out, even bringing Hannah Winter, who was just a minor female role in the same production, into the line of fire.
What had he done again?
He legitimised rumours about Hannah trading favors, offering herself to him, doing outside affairs.
He hadn’t done such things for a long time, ever since he became an award-winning actor, he had become as abstinent as a hermit, but this time he had to do it smoothly.
Everyone thought he was an elegant gentleman, polite and courteous, but they had forgotten that he too had climbed up from a deep valley, and naturally did many such things.
Coming out of the memory, the man’s face was devoid of any expression, his eyes clear and cold, yet his voice remained warm, "No, if possible, I hope you can give Hannah Winter an opportunity."
Richard Lee was stunned.
He hadn’t expected Jackie to take the initiative to speak well of someone; this was unprecedented.
However, he still nodded, "I’m preparing a film, and this young lady can try to audition. Whether she passes or not depends on her own abilities."
Unlike in his previous life where Jackie used his connections to secure Tiffany Lynch the lead female role, this time, Richard Lee only agreed to give Hannah an opportunity to audition.
Jackie had words on the tip of his tongue, but eventually nodded.
He still wasn’t willing to expose Hannah excessively to the camera, he even hoped that she could be quiet and compliant.
Even if she ultimately failed the audition, it wouldn’t be a bad thing.
As the conversation between the two men ended, the music also stopped.
Just as Richard Lee was about to announce the end of the recording, sudden exclamations and screams came from the stage.
"Someone fainted."
"My god! Call an ambulance!"
Richard Lee was also startled by this sudden event. Not waiting for him to react, the figure beside him had already rushed onto the stage within a few steps.
Hannah had fainted on the stage, and the crowd only dared to watch. Without thinking, Jackie bent over and held her in his arms.
The program’s medical team rushed to the scene quickly, taken aback when they saw Hannah being held by Jackie.
The usually mild-tempered Jackie now had a cold look on his face, "Hurry up and check her!"
The medical staff hurried over with their medicine box to examine her.
Hannah, who was leaning against Jackie, had a pale face, and her originally bright red lips had long lost all colour.
Jackie could clearly feel the sweat soaking into the back of the girl in his arms, her body felt cold, slender and weak, like a cloud that would scatter at the slightest breeze.
His hands holding her tightened, and then tightened further.
Feeling the warmth and softness in his palms brought no comfort; instead, it left him feeling even more frantic.
