Chapter 239: Chapter 239 Introduce to me
Having said this, she sent a cold, sharp glance over the trainees below, changing her tone, "Of course, I’d praise the trainees who perform well, but I must also criticize some people who wander outside every day, their minds completely not into practice. Others are practicing, yet they are slacking off!"
At this point, it was clear whom she was referring to; Tiffany Lynch purposely turned to look at Hannah.
Lucy Taylor cast a frown towards Reese Shaw, not saying a word.
May Hoffman sat beside Hannah. Upon hearing the words, she glanced at Hannah with a barely perceptible smile on her face, comforting her, "Hannah, don’t take it to heart. If you practice well afterward, you will be able to catch up."
Hannah turned her head to look at her, the corners of her mouth curling up, "Ms. Shaw didn’t name names, but May was certain it was me?"
May paused for a moment then quickly recovered, shaking her head with a light laugh, "I only hope that you could practice harder and not be criticized by Ms. Shaw anymore."
Hannah nodded, flashing a sweet smile, "I didn’t expect it, you actually care about me."
May held back a smile, "We are classmates."
"Really?" Hannah retorted, "Since we’re so close, why don’t you introduce me to your useful contacts?"
She raised an eyebrow slightly, laughing, her eyes seeing through to people’s hearts as if through a fog.
May immediately paled slightly, but she still managed to draw out a smile, "Let’s just focus on the lessons."
She didn’t want to elaborate.
She didn’t even want to reply directly.
It was as if she had recalled painful struggles from her past, her eyes reflecting unease.
She felt she was in stark contrast to everyone else in the classroom, who possessed vitality and vigor that she lacked.
Unlike her, forever stuck in a corner, brooding, and eerie.
Reese Shaw clapped her hands and walked over to the sound system, "Alright, now let’s choose a few people to fully demonstrate their singing and dancing. Who volunteers?"
As soon as she finished, she looked towards Hannah sitting at the back, her eyes full of calculation, with a scoffing and contemptuous smile.
I will really break you this time.
In a talent show, everyone naturally wants to seize the opportunity to showcase themselves. Looking foolish would be better than having no camera focus, no topic to talk about.
A decent number of hands were raised.
The hundred participants were randomly divided into four groups, making the current classroom total twenty-five.
Not a large number, really.
About half of them raised their hands.
Reese Shaw walked back and forth in the classroom, seemingly in thought, then seemingly randomly selected a few people.
"Tiffany Lynch, May Hoffman, Sunny Lee...and the last one, Hannah Winter, you come up."
She picked six people in total.
With the six people in front of her, Reese Shaw pointed at Hannah, "Hannah Winter stands in the center. I’ve noticed that you often wander outside during practice hours. You must be doing well, right? Don’t disappoint your teacher," she said.
Sensing her hostility, Hannah’s eyes glimmered, outshining it all, "Thank you, Ms. Shaw. I will do my best."
The girl’s voice was melodious, her skin as white as snow, lips as red as cherries. She seemed born to be the center of attention.
Reese Shaw hid away her smile, sat back in her chair, "Then let’s begin."
The music started.
Almost two full days of practice and the countless repetitions of the song, their bodies had formed a sort of muscle memory. Whenever the music started, they would instinctively follow.
The six people lined up and stood apart, spaced just right from each other.
