Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Does Anyone Have Fire?

Seeing Lucy not responding, the girl was a bit awkward and gave a shy smile, "Actually, I think from the six people in Class A, Tiffany Lynch and Sophie Shaw should be the easier ones to challenge."

Someone agreed, "I think so too, let’s not talk about Tiffany Lynch, initially, Sophie Shaw made it into Class A based on her dancing skills, but I heard from Li Qiuqiu from Class A that Sophie Shaw’s singing isn’t very good, she was even scolded by Mr. Landon during a class."

"Although that’s true, I’m just in Class C, it would be safer for me to challenge a trainee from Class B, what do you guys think about me challenging Hannah Winter? Her skills should be pretty weak, right?"

As soon as the girl finished speaking, the nearby people quieted down.

Hannah didn’t perform anything other than instruments on the initial stage, so others didn’t know about her real skills, but Hannah’s popularity online is very high right now.

Perhaps many would choose Hannah if it were purely an internal re-ranking, but if it’s a live voting, it is strategy to avoid these popular trainees.

"I’m full." Lucy suddenly spoke, glanced at the girl across the table, with a hint of sarcasm, "Challenge Hannah Winter? Are you as popular as her?"

As soon as she finished her words, she left her seat and went away.

The girls left at the seat felt a bit awkward, only the girl who was planning to challenge Hannah had a discontented expression and whispered, "I’m not as popular as her, but you were also outdid, acting so superior!"

"Enough, keep your words to yourself, Lucy’s company is Flourishing."

The girl’s expression changed, and she huffed a cold sound and fell silent.

Hannah didn’t make it to the canteen for lunch today, as she was held back by James Landon as soon as she finished her class.

With no outsiders present, James Landon seemed more approachable, and even took off his semi-permanent black-rimmed glasses, revealing clean, handsome features.

A nonchalant look.

Yet upon closer inspection, one could see a hint of excitement in his eyes, "I’m sorry for intruding on your time, but could you sing another song for me?"

Hannah was surprised, yet she quickly caught on, her eyes lit up with amusement, "Then, what does Mr. Landon want to hear?"

She leant forward slightly, her eyes bright and clear, reflecting the man in front of her clearly, like crystal-clear spring water.

James Landon unconsciously tried to adjust his glasses but found nothing, he could only awkwardly lower his hand, saying, "Anything’s fine, I just want to hear your voice again." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Sure." Hannah nodded in agreement.

The practice room was very quiet at this time, even half of the filming team had left, leaving only one or two still tidying up their tools.

James Landon usually left right after class, not staying for a second longer. This time, he kept Hannah back on his own sudden whim.

The theme song of Shining Star Journey 2 was an upbeat and lively tune, which tests the trainees’ singing skills, but it was hard to highlight the advantage of timbre, so James Landon kept her back.

He planned to hear it again.

After a brief pondering, Hannah began to sing acapella.

It was a lyrical song with a touch of melancholy.

Surprisingly, Hannah still handled it very well, showcasing her slightly hoarse yet sweet voice brilliantly.

It was like the early summer weather, the wind still carried a coolness, but the sun overhead was warm. These contrasting elements were beautifully blended together by her.
