Chapter 212: Chapter 212: Premier Ends
Arnold Simmons was attentively watering the cactus on the windowsill.
Counting the time, the young girl had been gone for nearly a week.
Without her chattering by his ear during this time, he found himself oddly unaccustomed.
Arnold shook his head, put down the watering can in his hand, and looked at the light-colored bed in the room.
It was somewhat disheveled, still maintaining the look from a few days ago.
Arnold rubbed his tired eyes a bit, then collapsed onto the bed.
In an instant, that familiar faint scent seemed to envelop him, carrying a hint of enticing charm. However, the scent seemed to have faded quite a bit after a few days passed
Feathery light, like a cloud, it seemed ready to disappear at any moment.
Lying on Hannah’s pillow, the man turned over, hearing a tiny rustling sound from underneath the pillow.
He reached down to touch it.
It was a small note.
"Mr. Simmons, make sure to remember me today. I don’t mind if you do this and that with the dreamy version of me on this bed~"
The handwriting was elegant, and only she could say something like that.
The man laughed, clutching the note in his hand, closed his eye, and softly murmured, "She’s been gone so long and still can’t keep quiet."
However, he seemed to really miss the young girl’s soft and tender voice.
The old him was accustomed to living alone. Every day felt like walking on a frost-covered single-plank bridge, where a careless slip could mean hopeless ruin.
Everyone he saw had contemptuous faces, staring at him like ghastly ghouls ready to push him off the bridge at any time.
But... how could he let those people have their way?
Feeling drowsy, it was almost as if he had returned to those days.
The cold lake water above his head, the bone-chilling cold seeping into his bones, the rank smell of the water filled his nose while those people’s derisive laughter filled his ears.
His neck felt like was being strangled, he felt the fear of approaching death for the first time. As if he had already stepped into a hellish world of blood and corpses.
The man abruptly woke from his dream, opened his eyes, and looked at the unfamiliar surroundings with instinctual alertness. Only when he saw the familiar smile in the picture frame beside his bed did he slightly regain his senses.
It was already morning, the sun outside the window sprinkled a warm glow into the room, covering half of the bed.
Arnold did not expect that he had slept through the night like this.
And it was on the young girl’s bed.
He could almost imagine that if the young girl walked in now, she would probably laugh at him for being too desperate, as he couldn’t help but climb onto her bed.
Arnold shook his head, went to the bathroom to wash his face, and finally fully woke up.

The second day arrived, the premiere of "Shining Star Journey 2" had already ended.
Unsurprisingly, Hannah and Tiffany Lynch’s competition immediately topped the hot searches.
The media outlets really know how to stir things up, even directly using #Folk Music VS Western Music# as the title, inciting a complete controversy.
The trending topics included:
#Hannah Winter B#

#Reluctant Movie Star#
#Tiffany Lynch Background#.
The comments below were varied.
——Hannah Winter’s performance was absolutely stunning! She’s an unparalleled fairy! But why did Tiffany Lynch get an A in the end?
——James Landon’s comments were on point. Tiffany Lynch’s performance indeed lacked highlights, while Hannah Winter’s was truly refreshing.
——As a student of the music academy, I really feel that Hannah Winter’s performance was more perfect, Tiffany Lynch’s was purely showy, wasn’t it?
