Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Reinvestigation

The two had a fight, and Jimmy Simmons was adamant that it was Arnold Simmons who did it. He saw his vehicle enter the old Simmons’ family mansion.

However, the surveillance was broken on that day. There was no way to confirm Jimmy’s claims, and the police couldn’t find any evidence.

Arnold was detained for 48 hours and then released.

Jimmy clung to Arnold’s case, ignoring all company affairs, claiming that he would find evidence of Arnold’s guilt to avenge their parents.

It was only when Jimmy himself disappeared that things quieted down.

Now, several old shareholders of the company have brought this matter up again with the clear intention of dethroning Arnold.

After all, Arnold, as he was now, was too intimidating.

They quickly discovered that after the death of Jimmy’s parents, Arnold had arranged for a sum of two million to be transferred to an account.

They didn’t see this as a large sum of money; what they found odd was that not long after receiving the money, the person disappeared.

They were convinced that Arnold had hired a killer. After submitting the evidence anonymously to the police, Arnold was once again summoned to the police station.

This time, the shareholders simply let the media know.

The past was being dug up again.

The story of an illegitimate heir to a wealthy family who murdered two people and caused another to disappear was inherently explosive.

On the day Arnold arrived at the police station, there was a light rain. The drizzle wasn’t heavy, but it wet the muddy ground. Even though it was nearly summer, the air still had a bone-chilling coldness.

The cold wind raised the corner of his dark coat. The man’s face was stern, his eyes as deep as a cold pool, his expression aloof, carrying an innate sense of cold detachment.

He stepped lightly, moving slowly over the puddles in front of him. The splashes sprinkled drops of water that landed on the wet ground while his coat became clothed in a thin layer of mist.

The man seemed to emerge from the darkness, his black attire enhancing his handsome figure. However, his aura exuded a gloomy indifference that made people keep their distance.

The people around him instinctively quieted down.

Most people had only heard of the name of this head of the Simmons Clan and very few had actually seen him.

The fierce aura emanating from the man easily made people overlook his age. At 24 years old, he took the helm of the Simmons Family, improving the Simmons Group in less than half a year. The outside rumor was that he was a ruthless hardliner, showing no mercy even to his kin.

To outsiders, he was a cold-hearted individual who could murder his brother and sister-in-law for power, not sparing even his own nephew.

By the time people wanted to surround him for photos and interviews, Arnold had already entered the police station. The bodyguards that followed him diligently blocked the crowd outside.

The reporters did want the latest scoop, but the intimidating security guards at the door made even the bravest shirk away, leaving them to wait patiently outside.

The interrogation lasted from noon until evening.

As night fell, the cold wind grew stronger. Many paparazzi were already worn out, huddled on the ground rubbing their hands for warmth, but there was still no activity from the police station.

It was not until eight o’clock in the evening that Arnold emerged from the police station.

The remaining photographers hurriedly swarmed over, but they were quickly held back by the bodyguards before they could even approach.

The assistant stepped forward, with a stern face. He adjusted his glasses and spoke to the paparazzi, "No matter who you work for, I hope you know what the consequences are for offending the Simmons family."
