Chapter 202: Chapter 202: Argument

Stuck in the middle, Jackie could only listen to the quarrel from both sides. He felt a vein pulsing in his temple. Even with his usual gentle temperament, the continuous disputes between the two were becoming hard for him to bear.

Of course, what worried him most was that Hannah might be implicated.

After all, the beginning of the confrontation was the competition between Hannah and Tiffany Lynch.

Irritation seeping into his usually composed voice, he said, "If you two insist on being stubborn, why don’t we sit down and talk properly after recording ends."

This was him being angry, yet it wasn’t visible on his face. With a barely perceptible glare, even Reese Shaw found herself retreating to her seat.

Violet Lee on his side, quickly tried to mediate, "Ms. Shaw, we’re still shooting. Everyone’s watching. Let’s just drop it."

Reese still kept a cold demeanor, glaring at Violet, and drew her hand back.

All Violet could do was to laugh awkwardly to lighten the mood, "Both the trainees performed really well, let’s discuss and then release the rankings."

Everyone put down their microphones.

Reese clearly favored Tiffany and insisted on giving her an A grade. Since Lucy, whom she had defended before, only received a B, she was already very unhappy.

This time, she was determined to get an A for Tiffany.

Violet was soft-hearted and sided with Hannah in her heart, but she didn’t want to escalate the conflict, so she had to follow Reese’s lead and support giving Tiffany an A.

As for James Landon, it goes without saying that he gave his support to Tiffany, whom he admired, with an A grade.

With two against one, Jackie’s opinion became exceedingly important.

Standing there, calm and collected, naturally all eyes were on him. He had made up his mind and was about to speak when a staff member ran over to whisper something in his ear.

Of course, the other mentors couldn’t know what they were saying, but it was probably about the upcoming rankings.

Listening to the staff member’s whispers, Jackie’s expression was undisturbed, and the crease in his brows eased a little. He just pursed his lips, nodded, and replied, "I understand."

"Thank you, Mr. Qualls," the staff member said before quickly running off.

The trainees sitting on their seats naturally saw this silent exchange and started whispering amongst themselves.

"Is someone fixed to win?"

"It looks like it. It must be Tiffany, right?"

"But I thought Hannah’s performance was also really good. It was really stunning. It’s a shame we can’t vote. Lucy, what do you think?" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

The girl turned to Lucy Taylor sitting next to her. Both of them were from the same company and naturally sat together. However, this girl was more outgoing than the other girl, Sunny, which made her relationship with Lucy much better.

Upon hearing this, Lucy looked indifferent, but her eyes revealed a hint of anxiety and dissatisfaction. Though she didn’t want to admit it, the answer was clear, "The A rating will probably go to Tiffany."

The girl came to her senses and sat up straight.

Lucy initially suspected that Hannah, an individual trainee might actually have some hidden backing. But after seeing her performance today, she realized that Hannah was genuinely talented and might have made it here on her own.

As Hannah didn’t have any support behind her, she naturally couldn’t pose much of a threat. Although the show has not been aired yet, she could guess that her ranking wouldn’t be much worse.

The only competition was Tiffany Lynch.

However, she only received a B grade.
