Chapter 1318: Chapter 1318: Aren’t You Afraid?

Through the haze of smoke, he looked at the person sitting opposite him.

Neither of them spoke.

Hannah had no habit of fighting against her own body. After picking up the spoon and getting used to her stiff fingers for a while, she began to eat.

Medication had also been added to the food.

Yet, Hannah seemed totally unaware of it.

Her movements were somewhat rigid, but she still looked very elegant and pleasing to the eye.

Especially her fingers gripping the silver spoon; under the light, they were cold, white, and delicate, like fine, chilled jade.

A fragile and perfect piece of craftsmanship.

It was very hard for one not to be moved by such a person.

For a moment, Jimmy Simmons thought that even the experiences belonging to Vincent might not be that unacceptable.

At least that fool could sit beside her unrestrainedly, looking up at her with adoration.

To Vincent, Hannah was the moon in the sky.

The only moon.

This was a very strong emotion belonging to Vincent that Jimmy could feel.

The fool didn’t want to hurt Hannah.

Tsk—

Jimmy silently scoffed.

"Could you prepare a new set of clothes for me?"

Hannah had eaten about half a bowl of rice when she put down her chopsticks, took a piece of tissue from the side, and wiped her mouth.

As ash from her fingertips fell, Jimmy came back to his senses, "Aren’t you scared at all?"

This was an abduction and a captivity.

But Hannah always maintained a calm demeanor, as if nothing could stir the slightest ripple in her eyes. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

In those eyes, without a hint of stars, the indifference and calm irritated Jimmy.

In front of Arnold Simmons, she would never be like this; she would be coquettish, laugh, and even get angry.

She was lively and vibrant that way.

Not like now, filled with detachment and coldness.

"Would you kill to keep a secret?" she relaxed in her chair and looked at him,

Jimmy came back to his senses, at first stunned, then smiled, "Of course not."

"Then that’s fine." Hannah nodded, then extended both hands, "Are you going to keep me tied up?"

Jimmy looked down at the hands extended in front of him.

Her wrists were slender, and under the pale skin, dark veins were faintly visible. Even the soft silk used for binding left conspicuous marks.

"No need." Jimmy extinguished the cigarette in his hand, "I’ve prepared a room for you. From now on, this will be your home."

Hannah remained silent, looked up at him for a while, and then laughed softly, "Am I the only one here?"

Jimmy sighed and leaned back in his chair, "It seems you have a big misunderstanding about me. While I’m morally despicable, I’m special to you."

Hannah gently massaged her reddened wrists, "Should I say thank you?"

Jimmy smiled, his body leaning forward to the person across from him, "Don’t worry, I won’t touch you."

Perhaps to prove the truth of his words, when Jimmy left, he did not lock the door as he had during the day.

Outside the window, the world had already plunged into complete darkness, and the heavens and earth that had been quiet for just a few hours started to become noisy again.

The cold wind slapped against the windows, raindrops fell on the leaves, creating a swirling mist.

In the following days, Hannah was kept under soft confinement in the villa.

Every day, food was delivered at regular intervals with a certain dose of drugs mixed in, to ensure she didn’t have the strength to escape the confines of the villa.

So a lot of the time, Hannah just stood on the balcony looking out, never venturing outside.

The villa was in a secluded location. One could hear the sound of the waves but couldn’t see the sea. All around, there was silence, save for the rustling of leaves in the wind.
