Chapter 1309: Chapter 1309: Green Grassland

"Why did you decide to name the movie ’The Last Farewell’?"

When the movie poster was officially announced, it featured a backlit photo of Hannah.

Streetlights, street corners, shadows, dark blue tones.

She stood right in the center of the frame, hands reaching out and clasping, her face turned to the side as if she were looking at dazzling fireworks in the distance, or perhaps at the loneliness of the street corner.

On her pale cheeks, a faint smile lent a fragile and shattered feeling.

Tears twinkled, holding thousands of stars, yet unable to hold a trace of warmth.

At the interview site, when the poster was shown, Hannah looked back at it for a moment.

Seconds later, she turned to face the camera and smiled faintly, "In one’s life, there are many farewells, farewells with family, friends, and even with oneself. There is a first time, and there will be a last time."

Everything must come to an end.

The following questions were mostly light-hearted.

The host on-site had been instructed not to ask too much about the movie, so the discussion had to shift directions.

George River watched the interview too.

In that moment, he thought of a night three years ago.

Two years of relationship, yet he had not managed to properly say goodbye to her, instead...

The man bowed his head and gave a bitter smile.

A few days before the interview, by the time George River went to see Hannah, she was already busy filming on the set.

The shooting site was well-protected.

George River had managed to get in, but only dared to watch her from afar.

All the words he had prepared turned into silent gazes at that moment.

During this period, Louis Snyder had also visited.

But before he could approach, George River stopped him, "Can we talk?"

Louis Snyder thought for a moment, glanced at Hannah, who was still filming, and then followed George River away.

It just so happened that he had some things to discuss with George River as well.

It was now the afternoon.

The weather was a bit muggy after the rain.

The two didn’t go far, just stepped out of the film set and stood under an old tree.

The old tree was lush with heavily overlapping leaves that almost blocked all the remaining sunlight from above.

Louis Snyder’s hands were in his pockets, his eyes showed no impatience, but rather he felt gratified looking at George River’s current state, "It seems the affairs of the River Clan still aren’t enough to keep you busy."

And yet you still have the nerve to come and disturb Hannah.

The latter half of the sentence didn’t need to be spoken, as it was already evident in Louis Snyder’s eyes.

George River simply frowned slightly and didn’t take issue with the pointedness and mockery in Louis Snyder’s words, "I thought that when the Yarn Family left, you would have followed them."

Roy Yarn was staying because he had yet to finish his studies.

Logically, if Louis Snyder went abroad with them now, it would be most beneficial for him.

After all, Roy Yarn didn’t have any intention of taking over the company.

This would have been a good opportunity for Louis Snyder, only he could no longer dominate the Yarn Family’s company as he did before.

However, Louis Snyder no longer had that idea, "George River, you probably don’t know, but I’ve known Hannah for a long time."

He said this deliberately, with a hint of provocation in his tone, "When you and she were still together, Hannah took me in."

George River’s brows furrowed deeply.

He truly didn’t know about this.

He had always thought Louis Snyder fell for Hannah during the filming.

"What do you mean by telling me this?"

"It doesn’t really mean anything," Louis Snyder laughed, his voice suddenly turning cold, "I just think you’re blind. And I’m not just talking about Hannah, but Tiffany Lynch as well."

George River remained silent.
