Chapter 1275: Chapter 1275: Choice

Many doubted if George River could support such a colossal River Clan enterprise.

With no other choice, George could only devote more time and energy to the company.

But... he always struggled to achieve success.

It was during that time that Tiffany Lynch once again drew close to Jimmy Simmons, who had shown interest in her.

She was a woman extremely adept at weighing benefits.

Previously, although George and Jimmy were both heirs to their respective companies, the head of the River Clan was George’s grandfather, and George was his only grandchild.

Thus, George’s inheritance of the River Clan was merely a matter of time.

However, the case was different for Jimmy, whose hatred with Arnold Simmons meant he would always be constrained within the Simmons Clan, and even whether he could secure a place for himself in the Simmons Clan was questionable.

One was a rightful heir, the other a titular president living day by day.

Naturally, Tiffany would choose the former.

However, the subsequent turn of events caught everyone by surprise.

The unexpected exit of Arnold Simmons allowed Jimmy to reclaim everything he believed belonged to him.

Now, as both men were set to inherit their family businesses, their comparative abilities became the basis for Tiffany’s reassessment and choice.

So this time, she chose the latter.

During her relationship with Jimmy, Tiffany still wore the title of Mrs. River.

She kept it well-hidden; George never suspected a thing from beginning to end.

At first, dating Jimmy indeed brought Tiffany many benefits. Money, jewelry, luxury goods.

But that wasn’t enough.

What she urgently needed was to establish her own foothold in the entertainment industry. To climb higher, to become an object of pursuit for more people.

So upon discovering Jimmy’s philandering nature and understanding he wouldn’t fall out with George over her, she decisively sought out Jackie Qualls again.

The powerhouse actor of the entertainment industry, who might not rival George or Jimmy in wealth but could provide Tiffany with considerable help through his connections and resources.

This was Tiffany’s third step.

During her ambiguous period with Jackie, she landed several big movie productions one after another.

All of which were resources provided by Jackie.

Leveraging those resources, she finally secured her footing in the entertainment industry.

At this point, she could have a good life even without relying on others.

However, in Tiffany’s view, being a star was merely a glamorous façade she wore for herself; her ultimate goal was always to return to her former status as a wealthy heiress.

Only living a life of luxury and nobility would be considered complete fulfillment.

It was just that George was too incompetent, Jimmy too flirtatious, and Jackie... though deeply devoted and faithful, lacked a prestigious background and status, his title as a leading actor was only significant within the entertainment circle.

Compared to a genuine wealthy and noble family, an actor was hardly worth mentioning.

At least, that’s how Tiffany saw it.

Therefore, Tiffany pinned her fourth step on Louis Snyder, who had just taken over the Yarn Family fortune.

Jackie took a sip of warm water, remembered the follies of his past, and couldn’t help but find it laughable, "Is it not too unbelievable to be involved with four men at the same time?"

Hannah remained noncommittal, her smile faint, "When facing scoundrels, it’s all about one’s own skill."

But the plot she had to fill in was indeed quite complicated.

The storyline she had initially received was more like a summary; apart from the original main character’s tribulations, other parts were briefly touched upon.

For instance, her previous knowledge of Tiffany’s ending only stopped at her wedding with George.
