Chapter 1245: Chapter 1245 The Sky Is Cool

Even the best explanations and public relations are no match for facts laid out before one’s eyes. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Scrolling through the phone, the afternoon had arrived before she knew it.

The rain had stopped, though the sky remained shrouded in mist.

Da Yuan couldn’t contain its energetic genes.

It wanted to go outside.

Hannah thought for a moment, casually threw on a coat, and went out to walk the dog herself.

The servant stood at the door, handing her the dog leash along with a set of tools for picking up after the dog.

Beneath the surface, the servant seemed a bit concerned, asking, "Are you sure you don’t need someone to accompany you?"

Hannah pulled the hood of her coat up, her long hair spilling onto her shoulders, framing her small, delicate face, making her look both innocent and harmless.

She shook her head, "No need. If Arnold happens to come back later, just tell him I’ve taken Da Yuan out for a walk."

The servant nodded and saw her out, "Take care on your way."

Stepping outside, a chilly breeze greeted her.

The air was moist, carrying a bone-chilling coldness.

Hannah pressed down her hood with one hand, holding everything else in the other, tucking it into her pocket.

Golden Lotus, snug in the pocket, was startled by the sudden chill but still obediently wrapped its own master’s icy hand in its warm embrace.

A small toy, warm and fuzzy.

Hannah let out a breath, walking excitedly with Da Yuan.

Streetlights lined the road, their warm yellow glow carving out a straight path amid the dimness. On either side of the path were neatly manicured lawns, with dedicated trails for walking and jogging.

A little further away was a calm, expansive lake, with a few villas visible on the opposite shore.

This was an entire villa area, except that Uncle Arnold Simmons had bought everything on this side of the lake.

After walking a good half-circle with Da Yuan, Hannah found a spot to sit down.

Determined to keep going, Da Yuan, upon seeing Hannah sit, wagged its tail and trotted back to sit by her side, even placing its leash obediently into her hand.

Hannah rubbed its ears, "If you want to play, go ahead. Uncle Arnold Simmons bought this whole place, so no one’s going to bother you."

Da Yuan tilted its head, tongue lolling out in a goofy grin, paws shuffling excitedly, but ultimately rested its head on Hannah’s leg.

Sitting obediently and motionless.

After the heavy rain, the cold air had nearly filled every nook and cranny. Golden Lotus barely popped its head out before shivering uncontrollably.

In contrast, Da Yuan, with its fluffy fur, was unaffected by the cold, occasionally watching with relish the few leaves that fell in front of it.

Golden Lotus glanced at it, snorting disdainfully.

On the way back, it rode on Da Yuan’s neck.

At first, Da Yuan was a little uncomfortable, but within seconds it started running excitedly.

As if it had discovered a new game.

Da Yuan didn’t run far, circling nearby before running back to Hannah’s side.

By now, darkness had completely fallen.

The streetlights that had seemed dim earlier now became slightly glaring, casting reflections and ripples across the lake.

When it was time, the great Ferris wheel in the distance lit up with colorful lights, like a rare tranquility after the heavy rain.

When Hannah returned to the villa, night had fully set in.

Da Yuan, exhausted, slurped some water and flopped into its bed.

The servant took the things from Hannah’s hands.
