Chapter 1202: Chapter 1202: Take Back Again
Several bags of garbage were piled up haphazardly, showing signs of being rummaged through by rats.
The soundproofing in the building was poor, and as he walked up, he could even hear the neighbors in the next unit arguing.
It was mealtime, and the heavy smell of cooking oil mixed with the spicy scent of chili peppers made Brother Davis sneeze several times.
Mumbling to himself.
The habits of the rich are indeed strange.
They don’t like to live in sea-view villas but become increasingly addicted to living in run-down rental houses.
But he had no choice, since Louis Snyder was now his boss.
Having been an agent for so many years, it was the first time Brother Davis had encountered an artist becoming a boss.
Standing in front of the dark green wooden door whose paint was peeling, Brother Davis searched for a long while but ended up having to knock with his hand.
Louis Snyder had lived there so long without even installing a doorbell, really sticking to the original setup.
After knocking several times, there was finally some movement inside.
The door opened.
Louis Snyder was dressed in a hoodie and jeans, the simplest outfit. With the hood pulled over his head, raising his head would reveal a clean face with slightly immature features, looking just like when Brother Davis signed him two years earlier.
If there really was a difference, it was probably that he seemed a bit more dejected now, like a somewhat introverted teenager.
Seeing the person standing outside, Louis Snyder showed no expression, his eyes appearing dull and unresponsive.
Brother Davis almost called out "boss," but he ended up saying "Louis Snyder" instead.
Louis Snyder just nodded, without much reaction.
Just then, footsteps were heard coming from upstairs.
It was an old lady who lived on the fifth floor.
Stooped over, she seemed to have trouble walking, but her eyes were still sharp. Seeing Louis Snyder, she warmly greeted him, "Louis, do you have guests?"
Standing aside, Brother Davis felt somewhat awkward and stiffly greeted her back.
Louis Snyder didn’t bother with him, merely politely calling out, "Grandma Taylor."
Grandma Taylor had been living here for a long time and knew all the residents and tenants.
She remembered Louis Snyder too, but having not seen him for quite a while, she specifically asked, "Louis, where’s your girlfriend? I haven’t seen her around recently."
It wasn’t exactly recent, but the old lady’s memory wasn’t the best. Things from a few years ago didn’t feel like they had happened that long ago to her; she just spoke as if it were the present.
Upon hearing this, Brother Davis was utterly shocked.
Louis Snyder was dating?
How come he, the former agent, didn’t know anything about it?
Louis Snyder didn’t pay attention to Brother Davis’s shocked expression and obediently replied, "I upset her, and she doesn’t want to come back yet."
With this, Grandma Taylor understood.
So the young couple was having a spat.
"You two used to come and go together, seemed to get along well; how did you end up fighting? You young people are too impulsive. It’s rare to find such a good girlfriend; don’t be angry, just bow your head, admit your mistake, and coax her back," she advised.
Louis Snyder obediently nodded, "Once I’ve coaxed her well, I’ll bring her back."
Grandma Taylor nodded approvingly, "That’s right, you won’t find many girls as beautiful and sweet as Hannah."
Hannah... Hannah?!
Brother Davis was completely stunned.
When did all this happen?
Could it be that Hannah lived together with Louis Snyder?
Brother Davis looked at Louis Snyder’s calm face and then at the cheerful Grandma Taylor but still didn’t ask the question.
