Chapter 1199: Chapter 1199 Smooth Sailing
Hannah looked up at him, with no trace of panic in her eyes, and even her words were calm, "What’s up, little nephew?"
Jimmy choked, his intended words delayed by half a minute.
Hannah’s assistant had already arrived.
Jack Stewart had come along too.
Since last year, Jack hadn’t worn his rainbow-colored, flashy shirts, mostly dressing in casual sportswear instead.
In his free time, he would even arrange to play basketball with a few assistants.
The skin that had once been meticulously maintained to be extremely fair was now a degree darker, slightly blurring the delicate quality of his face.
Jack came over, glanced at Jimmy first, then directly walked past him to Hannah’s side, "Let’s go, if we delay any longer, reporters are going to show up, and we’ll probably get blocked."
Hannah straightened her dress before standing up, "Little nephew, I’m leaving first, have fun."
Jimmy suppressed his thoughts, stepped aside to make room for Hannah, and then spoke to her in an unusually gentle voice, "Auntie, take care."
Hannah walked towards the door, didn’t look back, just waved her hand as a response.
Jack followed by Hannah’s side, turning his head just in time to meet Jimmy’s gaze.
He was looking at Hannah.
Even though his smile appeared warm and polite on his face, it still made people feel uncomfortable.
It was as if he were a hunting beast that had set its sights on its prey.
Jack slightly furrowed his brow, not lingering on the look, and followed Hannah into the car, "Was that Jimmy?"
Hannah sat in the back row, applying makeup in her hand mirror, looked up at Jack after hearing his question, teasing him, "Why, got a crush on him?"
Jack Stewart pursed his lips, "I don’t like..."
The last two words, just as they reached the brink of his lips, were swallowed back.
Anyway, liking anything didn’t matter anymore.
"I just think that the way he looks at you..." Jack didn’t know how to describe it, "Anyway, it’s always good to be cautious. I’ve heard that Jimmy has always been looking for opportunities to deal with Arnold Simmons, and now that you’re Arnold’s fiancée, you might get swept up in it."
Hannah clicked her lipstick shut and tossed it aside, smiling, "Jack, you know quite a lot. Giving up being an agent and planning to become a paparazzi?"
Jack clicked his tongue lightly, "I’m just concerned about you, when have I ever said so much to anyone else."
Calculating the time, they had known each other for almost six years now, four years longer than Hannah had known Arnold.
Jack wasn’t one to meddle in other people’s business, and the most he had ever bothered with in the past twenty-odd years was about Hannah.
First it was about her romantic notions, now it was her career development.
Now when he looked in the mirror, Jack even felt he was developing in the direction of an "old mother."
Hannah, leaning against the car window, watched Jack hold her makeup mirror with a look of melancholic resignation, "Got it, I’ll be careful."
"As long as you know. By the way, there’s news back about your new album..." Jack stowed the mirror away, bringing out his professional demeanor as an agent.
After the filming of Waxing Moon, Hannah had started preparing for her new album.
Originally, she had no plans to release an album, but she made the decision on the fly because many fans had left messages wanting to hear her sing.
James Landon was still in charge of the new album.
Hannah’s career path was going smoothly, with hardly anything that required his worry.
With the Best Actress trophy in hand, nobody would surpass Hannah’s achievements any time soon.
