Chapter 1182: Chapter 1182: Well Hidden

People who fall in love are blind.

After Lucy Taylor finished speaking with Hannah, she immediately told George Quach about the possibility of a stalker following them.

George Quach was first surprised, then became very solemn.

He naturally knew how serious such a situation could be.

On the contrary, it was Hannah who comforted him, "Don’t overthink it, maybe they’re just here for a trip by coincidence."

George Quach was still not reassured, "But..."

Lucy Taylor made a suggestion, "How about you come and sleep with me, Hannah?"

George Quach thought it was a good idea.

Although the inn was small and they were staying in neighboring rooms, he was worried about the what-ifs.

But Hannah shook her head, "No, the bed is so small, are you sure you won’t kick me off?"

Lucy Taylor realized and laughed somewhat embarrassingly.

Indeed, she was not quite still when sleeping. Hannah, who had been roommates with her during their audition days, naturally knew this.

Back then they had stayed in a double room with a bed a bit larger than those in the inn now, and yet she still managed to roll off onto the floor.

Since this solution was unworkable, they just had to be more careful.

After all, they only had suspicions at the moment, and they couldn’t just burst into that person’s room and confront them about being a stalker.

At 6:30 in the morning, the small town was already lively.

With the first ray of sunlight, children, hand in hand, sang nursery rhymes while running towards school with their backpacks, occasionally slowed down by smiling elders they met while walking.

Street vendors wheeled out their breakfast carts, selling homemade items—fifty cents for one, one dollar for another—very affordable, with mainly local residents stopping to buy.

Everyone was headed to the morning market to grab something to eat along the way.

The day’s filming went smoothly, except for the person who always seemed to be following at a distance.

They were good at hiding; no one in the crew noticed—only Hannah did.

She saw them several times but pretended not to know and didn’t bother.

The final scene was set by a small stream near the mountains.

The water was shallow, just barely covering the ankles of those who stood in it.

The stream was clear and the sunlight on it made it shimmer, making it look like a mirror that showed everything clearly.

Pebbles spread out in a layer, little fish swimming about, and shrimp hidden in the cracks, while a few schoolchildren, just returned home, were playing nearby.

Seeing them filming there, the children gathered around, curious yet shy, not daring to get too close.

"Sister, sister."

A little girl tugged at Hannah’s clothes and handed her a bouquet of flowers.

This time, it was a fiery red Chinese rose.

Hannah took it and ruffled the little girl’s hair, "Who asked you to bring this?"

"A brother gave it to me," the little girl, her cheeks flushed, was a bit embarrassed after having her hair ruffled by Hannah and quickly ran away after answering.

Hannah stood up and looked across.

The Chinese roses she held were as vibrant as fire—less delicate than roses, but more wildly sumptuous.

The flowers against her, for a moment, made her seem like a bride to be.

Louis Snyder averted his gaze, leaning against a tree with the back of his hand shading his eyes, his lips curling into a smile.

He had said it before, he would not pester her anymore.

Yet he couldn’t help it, he just couldn’t help wanting to see her.

On the days he couldn’t see her, it felt like there was a large hole in his heart, empty, as if he were dead.
