Chapter 1174: Chapter 1174: Take Good Care of Your Collection

She thought herself above everyone else, though she was better at backdoor dealings than anyone, yet always pretended to accuse others from a moral high ground.

She would stop at nothing to win.

And in the end, she even committed such a horrific act.

It’s terrifying just to think about.

Lucy Taylor rarely had the chance to vent so freely; in the circle, the only real friend she could speak her mind to was Hannah, so now that she had someone to talk to, she couldn’t stop.

But it left George Quach standing off to the side, neglected.

"It’s okay, you two keep talking, I’m just fine following along."

George Quach had changed a bit since then too, he’d cut his hair short and stopped wearing glasses, which made him look much more composed. However, when he smiled, it was just like it used to be, still shy with a hint of an student-like awkwardness.

Lucy watched from the side and couldn’t help but comment, "It’s weird, Director Quach never smiles in front of us; I almost thought he was facially paralyzed. How come now that you’re here, he’s smiling like a blooming chrysanthemum, looking like all the petals could fall off, huh?"

She spoke in a lower voice, almost sprawling on Hannah as she whispered into her ear.

But in the surrounding quiet, even the hushed tones were fairly audible.

George Quach paused, instinctively wanting to scratch his head, but realizing something, he quickly lowered his hand again, and the smile on his face also faded.

Only his ears were still a bit red.

Hannah looked at him and laughed, "George Quach, I heard you’re a big-time director now, with lots of people fighting to get on your show."

George Quach scratched his head, sudden nervousness evident, "It’s... it’s okay."

The first variety show George Quach directed was in collaboration with Hannah. Although the process was difficult and many doubted it, when the show aired, it swept the variety show rankings for the year.

It even surpassed many primetime variety shows in popularity compared to "Find Friends."

To outsiders, the most popular aspects of the show were Hannah and Matthew Quach "the brother and sister duo", but within the industry, George Quach’s status as a variety show director also rose significantly.

At least there would no longer be incidents of people breaking their contracts midway or trouble finding guests for the show.

Now there were even celebrities and investors specifically requesting to work with him.

But George Quach had his own principles and ideas; he refused to be anyone’s puppet, even if it meant a significant loss in benefits, so he chose to decline.

He wanted to create his own brand of variety shows.

No matter how much time had passed, George Quach still deeply appreciated Hannah for trusting him, a novice director at the time, and joining his program.

As for that subtle fluttering in his heart, he preferred to treasure it quietly within.

George Quach went over to help Hannah’s assistant with the luggage.

The assistant was somewhat flattered, after all, the other party was now a well-known variety show director. After politely declining several times and seeing his insistence, she finally handed over a fabric bag she was holding.

He then bashfully said, "I’ll have to trouble Director Quach then."

"No problem," George Quach shook his head.

Lucy, watching George Quach’s actions, felt even more puzzled.

The George Quach they knew was always serious and stiff, known for being strict and humorless. While his skills as a director were undeniable, his personality was... rather dull.

But now, didn’t he seem like he had come to life?

Lucy shook her head, deciding not to dwell on it.

The group together headed towards the town.

It was almost past mealtime, and the streets filled with residents out for a post-dinner walk.
