Chapter 1172: Chapter 1172: Apologize Together

He said he would sue, and he actually did.

After all, the big shot wasn’t from the entertainment industry; the lawyer’s letters weren’t sent to bluff or deceive fans.

The legal department of the company wasn’t just sitting around eating for free either.

For a long time afterward, the legal department was busy non-stop, dealing with a backlog of lawyer’s letters all at once.

This also led to the unusual spectacle of several marketing accounts issuing apologies at the same time earlier in the year.

A real big shot, indeed, and his pampering of his girlfriend was genuine as well.

People within the circle were envious, and outsiders discussed it, but no one dared to play tricks or scheme behind the scenes anymore.

Once the luggage was packed, it was Arnold who personally drove her to the airport again.

On the way, Arnold didn’t talk much, seemingly focused on handling business matters.

But what he was truly thinking, only he knew... and Hannah knew, too.

The airport wasn’t crowded, and Hannah’s assistant was already waiting at the entrance.

The car stopped.

Arnold suddenly turned his head to look at Hannah, who was touching up her makeup.

Seeing Arnold’s reflection in the mirror, Hannah deliberately dragged out the time, taking almost half a minute to put her things away before saying, "I’m leaving."

Arnold responded quietly, "Mhm."

When she said she was leaving, she truly started packing up her things, and the assistant who had been waiting in the distance hurried forward to help the driver with the luggage.

Now, only the two of them remained in the car.

Hannah finished packing her things and turned to get out of the car.

She counted to three in her heart.

Turned back around.

And met Arnold’s gaze head on.

Mysteriously... resentful?

Hannah sat down again and opened her arms, "Mr. Simmons, want a hug?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Blinking, she added, "I want a hug."

Arnold sighed, leaned in to embrace her, suppressing the satisfied chuckle in his voice, and deliberately spoke in an even tone, "Still so spoiled."

"Yes, just that spoiled," she agreed.

Hannah turned her head and pecked at his face lightly.

After kissing the left side, she moved to the right, going back and forth several times. Until Arnold couldn’t help himself anymore and held her down to plant a kiss on her red lips.

The kiss was a bit punishing, slightly more forceful.

"The makeup... the makeup will smudge," she protested.

"Doesn’t matter, I’ve prepared a mask for you," he reassured her.

The kiss didn’t last too long because the assistant who had finished packing was knocking on the car window.

The windows were tinted, obscuring the view from outside.

The young assistant, just over twenty and focused on work without having time for romance, didn’t quite catch on at first.

By the time the driver next to her hinted, she had already finished knocking.

Through the car window, Arnold lifted his head to glance at the two people standing outside.

The assistant instinctively shivered.

Hannah was still looking in the mirror.

Sure enough, her lipstick had smudged.

She sighed, reached into Arnold’s pocket, and sure enough, found a mask.

He really had prepared everything in advance.

With the mask on, she smiled and waved her hand, "I’m off then."

Arnold nodded, about to see her out of the car when Hannah put out her hand to stop him.

"You better not get out," she said.

Arnold frowned, "Why?"

With a light cough and a somewhat muffled voice, Hannah admitted, "Because I’m afraid I won’t have the heart to go to work if I see you."

This reason filled Arnold with joy, his smile breaking through despite his attempts to restrain it, "Alright, take care on your way."

"I will."

After saying that, Hannah got out of the car.

It wasn’t until Hannah was out of sight that Arnold instructed the driver to set off.

Before starting the car, the driver glanced up at the rearview mirror several times, looking as if he had something to say but dared not speak.
