Chapter 1109: Chapter 1109 Psychiatry

She would never again prepare a meal he disliked, nor would she wish him a "happy birthday."

Because she no longer liked him.

The burning sensation brought on by hunger felt as if it was going to bore a hole through his stomach.

Louis Snyder bit his lip as sweat cascaded down his pale face, his entire body uncontrollably trembling.

He stubbornly kept calling out the name of just one person.

Grace Yarn had been knocking on the door for a long time without hearing a response, finally having the maid bring the spare key in a moment of urgency.

To be discovered in times of accident, it was customary for the family to not lock their doors from the inside

But Louis did.

The Yarn Family made him feel very insecure.

Grace Yarn rushed through the door in a panic and was startled to see Louis collapsed on the floor.

A maid couldn’t help but cry out in shock, alarming Oliver Quach downstairs.

Grace Yarn was stunned for a few seconds before she came to her senses and hurriedly ran over to try to help him up, "Louis, Louis, what’s wrong with you, are you feeling ill somewhere?"

The young man did not respond.

Grace Yarn started crying out of anxiety.

It was Oliver Quach who arrived and had the maids help take Louis to the hospital.

This was probably the first time the Yarn Family had encountered such an incident.

Having fainted from hunger, he was taken to the hospital.

Grace Yarn was still crying. Once she starts, it seems she can hardly stop, repeating her usual phrase, "It’s my fault, it’s all my fault, I should have noticed earlier that Louis was uncomfortable."

Oliver Quach held her, offering comfort, "It’s not your fault, perhaps he just didn’t like the food at home."

He felt that Louis was somewhat ungrateful.

Never saying what he liked, nor expressing what he disliked.

He scarcely ever ate the meals cooked by his own wife, especially prepared for him, yet he wouldn’t even touch them.

Now that he had fainted from hunger, it served him right.

Grace Yarn rested on Oliver Quach’s shoulder, crying miserably, "I should have thought of it, Louis, a child abruptly coming to a strange environment would certainly be scared. I should have cared for him more."

Oliver Quach thought his wife was truly spoiling Louis, "He’s almost twenty this year, hardly a child anymore."

Grace Yarn halted her crying and glared at Oliver Quach.

Oliver Quach touched his nose and said no more.

Just then, the doctor came out.

The patient had indeed fainted from hunger.

In this day and age, it was certainly rare for someone to faint from hunger.

The doctor, too, couldn’t help but think more about it, weighing his words carefully before speaking, "When the patient wakes up, you should take him to see the second floor of the hospital."

Grace Yarn, eager to see Louis, left after hearing only half of it. It was Oliver Quach who asked, "What’s on the second floor?"

The doctor put on his mask, his tone very serious, "Psychiatry."

He suspected the patient might have suicidal tendencies.

Oliver Quach understood and nodded, seeing the doctor off.

He too believed Louis might have a problem.

Sometimes, watching people from a dark corner, his gaze fierce, not as simple and harmless as he seemed to be.

And yet his wife trusted without doubt, so he could only go along with her wishes.

On the hospital bed, Louis did not wake.

His face was terribly pale, his lips drained of colour showing a hint of purple.

Seeing this, Grace Yarn couldn’t help but start crying again.

She took up her refrain, "It’s all my fault."

Oliver Quach stood to the side, making a phone call to Roy Yarn.

At this time, the roadshow had just ended.

*

The roadshow was originally scheduled for two hours, but because the public enthusiasm was too great, the duration had to be shortened by half an hour.

It was nearing ten o’clock at night.
