Chapter 1057: Chapter 1057: Accepting an Interview

Hannah couldn’t help but shake her leg, "Arnold, you need to hurry up, I still have an interview to attend later."

Arnold slipped a shoe onto her foot and asked, "What interview?"

"The issues online have all been clarified, and everyone is waiting for my statement." She had a smile at the corner of her mouth, reaching for the earrings she had placed to the side.

Diamond earrings, understated and reserved in design, were especially suitable for today’s little black dress.

The online backlash had been raging for days, but now it had quieted down, and many felt guilty in their hearts.

After all, who could endure such an ordeal?

Doing good deeds only to be soiled and slandered—wouldn’t this discourage others from acting in the future?

People thought of Hannah as just a young girl, and since she hadn’t appeared for a few days, they figured she might have been hiding at home, secretly wiping away tears.

Thinking this, they felt even more pity.

Arnold had felt such pity too, and not just a little. But when he saw his little girl carefree and clingy, wanting to play Go with him every day, that pity slowly faded away.

She really didn’t care, happy-go-lucky every day, even eating more than him.

"Arnold, what are you thinking about?"

Seeing Arnold silent, Hannah couldn’t help but reach out and touch his head.

"Thinking of you," Arnold replied subconsciously, then looked up to see the girl’s excited gaze and added without changing his expression, "Thinking if you had breakfast or not."

"You were clearly thinking about me," Hannah didn’t believe his words and stubbornly wanted him to admit it, "Thinking about me isn’t anything shameful, there are so many out there who like me and think about me, if you don’t seize the opportunity, I might just run off tomorrow."

Arnold felt a headache coming on.

Looking at his own little princess acting spoiled, he wondered how he had compromised, step by step.

And ended up spoiling her to become this fearless creature.

But she was right about one thing.

There were indeed too many people outside who admired and liked her, so many that even the people around him began to frequently talk about her.

Good looking, tender in character—everyone loves such a girl, and if he doesn’t keep an eye on her, she might indeed be snatched away one of these days.

Thinking about this gave him an even bigger headache.

Meanwhile, Hannah seized the opportunity to continue, "Arnold, were you afraid yesterday that the grass would one day grow over your head, so you eagerly planted roses?"

Her words drifted into Arnold’s heart, striking a chord unexpectedly.

And yet, he couldn’t deny it.

Luckily, Hannah did not dwell on this issue as her assistant had already called, saying she was waiting outside.

Hannah hurriedly ended the call and stood up to leave.

Arnold escorted her to the door, "Are you sure you can handle that matter on your own?"

"Of course." She smiled, took a few steps back, went on tiptoe, and pecked the man on the cheek, "I’m going now, don’t miss me too much."

Arnold watched her cheerful departure until she was out of sight before taking out his phone and dialing a number.

"Pull back your men."

The person on the other end acknowledged without asking any further questions.

After hanging up, looking at the vast roses in front of him, Arnold stood there for a good while before turning back to his room.

He would naturally protect his own person, but Hannah had rejected his help from the start.

Even though he had agreed verbally not to interfere, he had already thoroughly investigated everything that needed investigating.

Worried that the little girl’s methods weren’t ruthless enough.

Now, however, it seemed that his little girl was far more formidable than he had imagined.

The commotion online had gradually settled down as of today.
