Their ride towards the Academy has been uneventful, as if the lady of luck which had been out of their grasp for some time now was wrapped around them again.
After all, nothing happened to them.

The city they went through hasnât received an attack from the Revolutionary Army, the road ahead hasnât been that bumpy aside from the few hiccups here and there, and lastly, anything related to a Nightmare has been out of their attention since they didnât even meet one of them.
After Doubt that is.
That didnât mean the ongoing war between the Revolutionary Army and the world has been quiet.
It just got progressively worse.
There werenât any days when the word Revolutionary was uttered into the mouths of people. Even when they were just passing by, the terror that the Revolutionary were bringing to the world began to make the Army take immediate action time and time again.
"Do you want to help them, Cesar? You know, finish this once and for all?"
Suddenly, Arnold voiced out from the side and Cesar gave a curt nod.
"I was planning to. I was going to ask for your take on it but it looks like it is unneeded,"
Arnold let out a small chuckle before pouring cold water from his head, "Anyway, how are you so sure that the Demonic Wrath will be the one to clear your condition back to normal?"
Cesar suddenly stiffened, unable to reply to that statement.
How sure was he?
Absolutely not sure.
However, this was the only lead he got to take care of his worsening condition. He began to be sleepy, and fatigued when he wasnât even that weak to begin with, now he thought that every situation was boring.
It felt like his condition was slowly chipping away the Cesar which would result in dying at the end of everything.
If it was Cesar before this condition, heâs sure he would not feel this situation as boring. Nor heâs sleepy or fatigued.
"I guess I have to trust myself to pull off a deal with that Nightmare. If heâs not with me, he better have something to say why because I will shit him,"
Arnold smiled, "Good mindset. Iâll definitely support you,"
Cesar observed Arnoldâs face who seemed to be really concerned and happy about how he viewed his situation. Heâs also the headmaster who really supports their student to be healthy and successful.
âOh right, thereâs something I owe himâŚâ
Cesar knew he still had to say something to Arnold since thatâs what he promised to do.
He had tried to keep quiet about it as they conversed with each other, and Arnold had been very diligently patient but he knew he had to repay every favor he had given to his benefactors.
It wasnât even a favor but more like something that Arnold should be aware of since sticking with Cesar will definitely need a lot of mental capacity since his adventures are all extraordinary.
"About what happened in the Silo City, Iâve made a deal with this group to make a partnership with each other since our goals aligned with each other, if thatâs what it means. However, I already found out the one who put the bounty above my head, and that entity is no other than the one we met at the Fountain,"
Cesar paused, "When he said he was the one who started the war between us, Iâm sure he wasnât lying about it. And by the looks of it, his primary objective is getting inside the fountain which for some reason, used me. However, I think his goals donât end there. I feel like his plans will continue without him being present there. Thatâs how scary he is. And he goes by the name The Watcher,"
Arnold pondered for a brief moment before muttering the word under his breath, "The Watcher,"
Cesar nodded, "Of course, the group who helped me isnât associated with The Watcher. They are under a different group, that goes by the name The Trinity. One of those entities is the source of the green mirrored towers. It is the same people I made a deal with,"
"The TrinityâŚ"
Arnold had a look on his face that the secrets he was discovering now were nothing like he possessed, even if he culminated the ones he knew from his entire life.
"Anyway, thatâs all there is actually." Cesar paused, "But I have to clarify something. The Watcher who appeared docile when we talked to each other or The Trinity wasnât making big moves such as forcing me to do something or threatening my life. However, I donât trust them,"
Cesar let out a short sigh and revealed, "After all, they are Nightmares."
Once that piece of information was out of Cesarâs mouth, a low gasp escaped from Arnoldâs mouth when the ones that made a deal with him were no other than Nightmares.
Looking at Cesarâs expression which didnât have a tinge of excitement on his face, Arnold replied, "You knew it already? The existence of the Nightmare isnât just something that destroys humanity but there are some others that are willing enough to make a âpactâ with us?"
Cesar frowned, "Hold up now. I never made a âpactâ with Nightmares since I didnât know about it. Second, that word sounded very dangerous. But throughout the time Iâve been exposed to them, too much to even ask even, they are just good with it comes to hiding the madness inside them,"
Arnoldâs face seemed to tell Cesar that he couldnât believe everything that he uttered from his mouth.
A kid like him probably knew better secrets than the rest that the world currently possessed.
With a sigh, Arnoldâs face gazed forward where there wasnât anything but a strange wall. Entering it revealed a tunnel before a small smile plastered on his lips.
"Iâm actually flabbergasted but who will not after hearing this?" Arnold sighs before coming back to the main topic, "Anyways, I guess thatâs enough surprises for today. You better get yourself healed now,"
Cesarâs attention was put forward, seeing the Academy that looked like it had been so long since he was gone before commenting on Arnoldâs words
"Thatâs the first plan,"
The Academy was still the same.
The districts were all functioning well while the buildings and the street were still as busy as ever. However, there was still tension around the surface since the Academy isnât clueless when it comes to the happening that is currently transpiring to the world.
They have already been debriefed and aware of the situation regarding the current war against the Revolutionary Army.
However, the Academy continued to promise the safety of the students like they always did every time.
Even if the current students are nervous, The Academy still holds its reputation strongly since they still havenât received word that they havenât been attacked.
Cesarâs business here is fast because of it.
The moment they land on the Academy premises, Arnold leads Cesar to the site where he will surely meet the Nightmare, Demonic Wrath.
"Huh?"
It was no other than the huge main hall where every student was supposed to attend when an important announcement had to be addressed that involved any student bodies or personnel of the Academy.
It was the same hall that Arnold and probably every Headmaster in the Academy that made every graduating student disappear and transfer to different sites of the Army.
It was probably the same Nightmare that Arnold made a pact with to âvanishâ these people.
"I guess it is hereâŚ"
Cesar paused, "Do I have to wear a blindfold on like the ones we always use to proceed at this sort of ritual?"
"Ritual⌠I remember that rumor came up under my doorstep and some parents even complained about the power behind it. Haha, they thought I abducted their kids. Itâs actually kind of funny to see their reactions,"
Arnold chuckled before coming back to the topic, "As for how you will contact it, well, they are the ones that like to hide and are pretty good at what they are doing. Do you know the reason behind the kerchief?"
"Let me guess, it is the hide the hideousness that the Demonic Wrath has?"
Arnoldâs eyes widened as he commented, "Wow, you know what youâre really saying. Correct, thatâs one thing. As for the other, it had something to do with privacy, I guess,"
âPrivacy, huh. What a weird NightmareâŚâ
Arnold who seemed like a person who was always prepared to whatever situation the world had given to him, handed one kerchief at Cesar while wearing one for himself.
"Let me handle it. Just focusing on communicating,"
Arnold commented before he began to initiate the âritualâ towards the Nightmare Demonic Wrath that has always been here in the Academy. Read exclusive content at freewebnovel
Arnold clasped his hand once.
Clapâ!
Then again.
Clapâ!
The motion of his hands were so fluid that Cesar will be shocked how he handled it. However he couldnât see anything aside from black due to the kerchief.
Finally, after the third clap, the silence in the main hall became even more still.
"Itâs here,"
Cesarâs heart pounded.
"Talk to it,"
