Chapter 1802: Chapter 1031: Strongest Assault (Part 2)

However, on the flip side, think about it, Tong Han indeed doesn’t have a second choice now; the resources in his hands are completely insufficient to heal her injuries, and taking her back home might cause big trouble.

She hijacked the Chamber of Commerce’s treasure, and those guys won’t let it go easily. If things really spiral out of control, the Patrol Defense Office would be in trouble.

After all, the person offended this time is not ordinary; it’s a big shot from the Chamber of Commerce, Sea Sect, and it’s probably not going to be easy to settle.

Yang Xiao gets a headache just thinking about this guy. It’s hard to say why, but it seems like there’s a destiny clash with this guy. Just after he fished Chen Nang out of prison, then Tong Han got entangled with this guy.

He has a premonition; he’ll definitely have to meet this guy in the future, and the scene then probably won’t be pleasant.

Indeed, words mean nothing; only quickly increasing strength is the right path. Once possessing absolute power, who would dare to gossip about Yang Xiao?

The world of the Angel Envoy is simple and direct: whoever has the biggest fist eats the most. The Evil Cultivators, the lineage of Black Buddha Mother, are pure beasts. Besides the Patrol Defense Office, no renowned sect openly fights them to the death.

The little good things on him are coveted by people every day, one batch after another attempting to kill and seize treasures; they’re harder to cut than freaking leeks. Why don’t they go after Chief Yue’s treasures? Are they not good enough?

"Although Tong Han is my friend, it’s not for me to decide on her matters. After leaving here, I’ll certainly convey your invitation."

"No matter if it succeeds or not, I thank you on her behalf," Yang Xiao stated.

Upon hearing this, Jiu Shan Sha Yue felt much relieved. Naturally, she could see that Tong Han has deep feelings for this guy. As long as Yang Xiao nods, this matter is half done. She greatly admires Tong Han’s character, just like Xingzi before, both are partners to rely on.

Actually, Beiyu Ye isn’t bad either, but this kid has too many tricks, and he’s from a renowned family, an outstanding young talent of the Taoist Dragon Tiger Mountain.

Even if she intends to keep him, those stubborn old dudes of Dragon Tiger Mountain surely wouldn’t agree. The biggest pity is, he’s a man, and keeping him around is inconvenient.

Just as Yang Xiao and Jiu Shan Sha Yue each harbor thoughts, elsewhere, on the 8th floor of the hotel, a major show was quietly beginning.

Just as Heize Lin twisted open the bottle of mineral water to take a sip, unexpectedly, the room suddenly turned cold, and before he could turn around, he felt dizzy and stumbled to the ground, the water bottle rolling out and spilling water everywhere.

In the last moment before losing consciousness, he caught sight of Qingshui Cangjie falling backwards onto the bed.

After who knows how long, when Heize Lin came to his senses, he found himself standing in an unfamiliar world, with a pitch-black sky, rain still falling, and a distant mist hovering persistently, before him appeared an ancient, rundown little mountain village.

Night rain fell on him, cold and piercing to the bone, Heize Lin instinctively tightened his coat.

Unlike the previous groups, Heize Lin had anticipated this outcome long ago, so he remained calm.

Through initial investigations and field explorations, he had become quite familiar with the local topography, and immediately recognized this place as the former Chao Wei Village.

Moreover, the key is that tonight, they have already mastered the way to break through, truly standing in an invincible position.

"Mr. Heize, over here!" a call came, carried by the winds, and Heize Lin looked towards the sound, seeing Qingshui Cangjie waving at him from behind a broken wall.

At this moment, Qingshui Cangjie looked slightly disheveled, his previously sparse hair was wet with rain, dividing into strands and hanging on top of his head.

Seeing Qingshui Cangjie, Heize Lin felt much more at ease; he immediately ran towards Qingshui Cangjie, hoping to leave a good impression on this future leader at the end of this mission.

"Mr. Qingshui, let’s get moving, Heize will cover you!" Heize Lin volunteered.

Upon hearing this, Qingshui Cangjie showed deep appreciation in his eyes and firmly patted the other’s shoulder, praising, "Mr. Heize, you truly are my right-hand man. I won’t treat you badly when we’re out!"

"Willing to serve Mr. Qingshui!" Heize Lin did not forget to express loyalty at the right moment.

Thus, after determining their direction, the two of them quickly ran along the crisscrossed paths of the village towards Asakura Yodou’s house, for behind it was the mountain.

Of course, according to the timeline of this world, Asakura Yodou’s house didn’t exist yet, it was merely a direction.

Nonetheless, with mist floating in the distance and the sky dark, they temporarily couldn’t find the mountain, and could only rely on memory of the village architecture to determine their direction.

The village left behind several old stone houses, and these served as their landmarks. Back then, Tong Han was killed by a female ghost in one of these buildings.

Qingshui Cangjie ran ahead, keeping a distance of about 10 meters between him and Heize Lin, tightly following behind to protect him.

Sure enough, after not too long, a noise came from behind — the sound of footsteps, splashing through water, chasing after them.

"Mr. Qingshui, that child ghost is following us!" Heize Lin loudly alerted.

Upon hearing this, Qingshui Cangjie increased his pace, "Mr. Heize, don’t panic, as long as we... as long as we make it to the mountain, it won’t harm us anymore!"

Qingshui Cangjie had full confidence in his judgement, after all, there were only two possible routes for survival in the mission, one was the coast where the female ghost was killed, and the other was the cave temple where the female ghost was buried.

Beiyu Ye’s group had already risked their lives to eliminate one incorrect answer for them, leaving only the cave temple, the only path to survival.

Moreover, tonight’s joint action by Yang Xiao and Jiu Shan Sha Yue further confirmed their suspicion; since they were willing to take such a big risk to launch a sneak attack, it proved they too had concluded the location of the escape path. They plan to kill him and Heize Lin, and then enter tomorrow night to break through and claim the mission reward, a precious spell-type magic artifact.

Yet, they never expected, old indeed becomes wiser with age, he had been guarding against them all along, giving these younger ones a good lesson.

"Ah!" a short scream came from behind, it was Heize Lin.

Without a doubt, that child ghost had caught up, far faster than Qingshui Cangjie had anticipated.

"Mr. Heize, hold on, we’re almost there!" Qingshui Cangjie encouraged him, "Stay true to your heart, remember not to be swayed, that child ghost is deceiving us!"

At this moment, Heize Lin no longer had the mood to respond, after all, the child ghost’s attacks were truly fierce; within just a dozen seconds, he had been stabbed twice in the buttocks with a compass.

Though not severely injured, it really hurt, that child ghost was utterly treacherous.

The child ghost both stabbed and dragged him, its little hands as cold as ice, clearly trying to alter his direction.

"Hah, trying to deceive me? In your next life!" Heize Lin coldly sneered internally. If not for the intelligence sent by Beiyu Ye right before his death, today he might actually have been fooled by this little brat ghost.

To minimize physical suffering, he sped up once more, but the child ghost also accelerated, its tiny footsteps patting swiftly, becoming even more vicious.

Even though Heize Lin had mentally prepared, he truly couldn’t withstand this relentless attack, especially as his wounds mixed with rainwater, causing sharp pain.

Yet, he dared not speed ahead, for if he overtook Qingshui Cangjie, the suffering would switch to Mr. Qingshui.

"Mr. Qingshui, please run faster!" urged Heize Lin again.

"Mr. Heize, hold on, we... we’re almost there!" Qingshui Cangjie finally burst out of the village, through the mist before them, just barely visible, stood a huge dark silhouette in the distance.

This shadow was even darker than the night, like a giant beast crouching on the ground. No mistake, that was the mountain!

"Mr. Heize, charge with me!" Qingshui Cangjie took the lead.
