The burly man in the lead had a reddish-brown complexion, muscles rippling across his body. He wore a white coat, had light blond hair slicked back, and a forehead protector tied across his brow.

Light blue arcs of lightning began to crackle over his body, enveloping him in a shroud of blue chakra.

"Hurry up! I’ll go first—catch up as soon as you can!"

At Raikage’s command, another burly man appeared beside him. He looked strikingly similar—except for the oval-lens sunglasses and the blue-green face paint streaked across his cheeks. His build was nearly identical.

Despite their similar appearance, their expressions and demeanors clearly revealed different personalities.

"Big bro, wait for me! I’m coming with ya!"

Before he finished speaking, Killer Bee’s body surged with the same blue lightning chakra. His figure blurred, vanishing in a flash. By the time the ninja behind him reacted, he’d already vanished down the path—nothing more than a black dot in the distance.

A sigh escaped from C’s lips.

"Pick up the pace! Lord Raikage and Lord Killer Bee have already gone ahead to intercept the enemy—support them immediately!"

The Kumo ninja behind him all responded in unison.

"Yes!"

Once the Raikage and Killer Bee activated their Lightning Release Chakra Mode, their speed skyrocketed. In mere minutes, they caught up with Uchiha Hikaru and his group.

Hikaru, Jiraiya, and the others glanced back and immediately recognized the incoming figures.

Hikaru’s mind worked rapidly, trying to deduce Raikage’s intent.

But the Raikage and Killer Bee didn’t allow time to think. Lightning erupted from the Raikage once more, and his figure disappeared from Killer Bee’s side—reappearing instantly in front of the group.

He landed squarely on the massive blue-gray trunk of a tree.

The thick trunk, large enough for two men to wrap their arms around, groaned under the pressure. With a loud crack, it split down the middle and crashed beside the Raikage, sending up a massive cloud of dust that blocked the path.

"Wait! We’re not here to cause trouble!"

Raikage and Killer Bee took positions ahead and behind, surrounding the group.

Forced to halt, Hikaru and the others shifted into defensive stances.

As the Kumo brothers released their chakra cloaks, they approached with deliberate calm.

Jiraiya stepped protectively in front of Naruto. Hikaru frowned, preparing to move forward.

But Tsunade suddenly grabbed his wrist. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Hikaru paused, turning toward her with a questioning glance. Her expression was laced with concern.

"Be careful. Don’t trust the Raikage’s words. The Hidden Cloud Village has a history of aggression—they’ve plundered other villages for secrets and resources."

Her voice was quiet but urgent.

Hikaru gently moved her hand from his wrist.

"Don’t worry. With you and Jiraiya here, even if things go wrong, we can get out just fine."

With that, Hikaru strode confidently toward Raikage and Killer Bee.

Tsunade stood there, her hand lingering in the air, the warmth of his palm still fresh in her memory. She stared after him, lost in thought.

Hikaru’s gaze hardened as he approached the Kumo duo.

The Hidden Cloud’s reputation for violence and treachery had soured any trust Hikaru might have offered.

"If you’re not here to fight, then why block our path?"

A torrent of chakra erupted from his body, rustling the leaves in the trees around him.

His eyes flickered—and the three tomoe of the Sharingan spun to life.

Killer Bee instantly moved in front of the Raikage, sensing the flare of chakra. Inside his mind, the Eight-Tails spoke urgently:

"Bee, watch out. This Uchiha’s chakra is chilling—it’s not a normal Sharingan. That might be the Mangekyō."

"If I fall into one of his illusions, I won’t be able to help you."

Bee’s normally carefree demeanor vanished. His face hardened.

"I hear ya, Eight-O. I just won’t look him in the eye—got it."

He balled his right hand into a fist and signaled the Raikage.

The Raikage saw the gesture and nodded. He shifted into a defensive stance, averting his gaze from Hikaru’s Sharingan and instead focused on his opponent’s footwork.

Hikaru smirked, catching their caution.

"Worried about my Sharingan? Looks like you’ve made peace with your tailed beast—must be a perfect Jinchūriki now."

At that, the Raikage’s expression tightened.

Damn Uchiha... Always so perceptive. He saw through Bee’s identity—and even realized he’s a perfect Jinchūriki!

"We’re not here as enemies. We came to find Tsunade!"

Raikage cut straight to the point.

Jiraiya and Tsunade exchanged puzzled glances.

The two men didn’t appear wounded. Dirt and blood smeared their clothes, suggesting a recent fight—but not injuries grave enough to warrant Tsunade’s healing.

Just then, Cee arrived with a squad of Kumo ninja. He supported a dark-skinned kunoichi—Karai—bringing her before the group.

Beneath Karai’s skin, something pulsed—a grotesque, spider-shaped tumor nestled on her chest, twitching rhythmically.

Naruto recoiled, startled by the sight. He darted behind Jiraiya.

Tsunade and Shizune frowned. The tumor’s rhythm mimicked a heartbeat—suggesting it was linked directly to the cardiovascular system.

If that was the case, there might not be anyone in the shinobi world who could remove it safely.

The Fourth Raikage stepped forward, taking Karai into his arms and approaching Tsunade.

And then—unthinkably—he bowed his head.

"Please... Please save my comrade."

Karai, still writhing in pain, gasped. Seeing the proud Raikage humbled on her behalf only deepened her guilt.

"Lord Raikage, don’t... Don’t trouble yourself for me..."

"Shut up."

His voice cut like thunder.

"You’re my subordinate. I won’t allow you to throw your life away."

Karai lowered her head, silent tears streaking down her cheeks.

Tsunade’s frown deepened. She opened her mouth to speak—likely to refuse—but Hikaru stepped forward before she could.

"Lord Raikage... During the Third Great Ninja War, your village launched ruthless attacks on Konoha. You think a few desperate words are enough for us to heal one of your own?"
