After a short break, class resumed in the classroom.
Harumiko listened attentively to the teacher, but Hiroshi was gazing out the window with a smile, clearly uninterested in the lesson.
"Life in my past world wasn’t this hard.
To be honest, I kind of miss it, but there’s one big difference: now I have a beautiful girl by my side. I’m content," Hiroshi thought, smiling to himself.
His past life had been lonely; he was always alone, without friends, let alone a girlfriend.
His current life was perfect. Having a beautiful girl by his side, making him happy every day, was wonderful. Every man cherishes the dream of having someone he deeply loves.
"Hiroshi, why aren’t you paying attention? Do you hate studying that much?" Harumiko whispered, gently nudging him.
Hiroshi smiled and nodded. "Yes, I really dislike studying. I think school is a waste of my time. But it’s better now that you’re here. I actually enjoy coming to school because of you!"
Harumiko whispered back, "You’re so annoying! I really hate you!"
"But I want you to study hard! If you don’t, I won’t play with you anymore!
I admit your talent surpasses mine, but I still want you to study hard, or the gap between us will grow too big. You won’t be able to keep up with me then!" Harumiko said, leaning closer to whisper.
Hiroshi smiled and nodded. "Okay, okay, I understand. I’ll study hard for you!"
Harumiko smiled, satisfied.
"Alright, class dismissed."
As soon as class ended, a pretty girl approached them.
"Harumiko, Hiroshi, how about we go out for dinner tonight? To celebrate our class’s dead last becoming number one!"
Harumiko looked up, smiling. "Aya, who else is coming? Just the three of us?"
The girl, Aya, was Harumiko’s best friend, and she was undeniably cute and pretty.
