Chapter 1179: The Dragon Above Dragons
Ethan cut his attack short, his eyes turning grim.
The liquid hadn’t scattered.
Under the pull of the surrounding forces, it reconverged at terrifying speed—first knitting into a skeleton, then wrapping itself in flesh, then locking into the shape of a tall human silhouette. The presence wasn’t that crude, lumbering giant anymore. This form was denser. Cleaner. Whole in a way that made the air feel sharper just being near it.
A violent surge exploded off the figure.
Ethan was blasted backward, thrown through the sky. The huge violet wings behind him shook under the pressure, fluttering hard just to keep him from tumbling. Space around them tore open with crack after crack, and from the edges of those rips seeped dark, writhing turbulence.
The figure lifted its head. A cold, vicious light burned in its eyes.
"I am the Supreme Deity of The Infernal Abyss."
His voice crushed down over the world, swallowing everything else.
"With what you’ve got... you could never kill me."
He raised a hand. Golden energy went feral, gathering from between heaven and earth and condensing above his palm into a massive sphere.
"Today, I’ll show you what real power looks like."
Ethan’s breathing turned tight.
He retreated a step, forcibly steadying the turmoil inside him. Translucent lightning, violet runes, Infernal Primordial Power—and the few forces he’d only recently absorbed—were driven to their limit, stacking into a thick defensive line in front of him.
The golden sphere slammed down.
Ethan met it head-on.
The instant their powers collided in midair, the heavens split. Golden energy and translucent lightning ripped at each other. Violet runes shattered layer after layer—then reformed layer after layer, clenching back together under sheer will. Cracks webbed through the surrounding space, widening fast. Even the defensive formation above the city shuddered, letting out a piercing, metallic hum.
Ethan hadn’t expected this bastard to have a method that let him melt his body down and rebuild it.
He adjusted his breathing and let everything in him erupt at once, his power surging forward like a tide. Translucent lightning became a roaring river that cut in from the left, slicing into the golden mass. From the right, violet runes pressed down, trying to clamp and lock the opponent’s flow of power in place.
The figure didn’t give an inch.
Infernal Primordial Power detonated from inside him again. Golden energy expanded outward and smashed straight into Ethan’s forces head-on.
Boom!
The shockwave erupted between them, blasting them both away.
Ethan steadied himself in the air, chest heaving. The power inside him was already starting to run wild, and a tearing ache ran through his channels like someone was trying to rip them open by hand.
The strength on this guy wasn’t just Infernal Primordial Power.
There was something else mixed in—an eerie, foreign force from beyond this world.
On its own, it didn’t feel overwhelmingly strong. But once it fused with Infernal Primordial Power, the danger spiked into something obscene. Even a wisp leaking out could erase a small world. Worse, it could seep into a body and keep chewing—tearing at flesh, bone, and energy pathways nonstop.
Ethan could feel it now.
His body was under extreme strain, pulled apart from the inside. If his internal power weren’t strong enough—and if the translucent lightning inside him weren’t constantly severing and purging that invading foreign force—he would’ve already been shredded from within.
And in the brief moment Ethan’s breathing slipped—
The figure moved again.
He spread both arms, unleashing his power to the absolute limit.
The aura between heaven and earth reacted like it had finally met its rightful master, rushing toward him in an endless stream. The city, the mountains, the mineral veins, even the leftover energies clinging to the edges of spatial rifts—everything was dragged upward, drawn into the sky.
It didn’t take long.
A colossal energy sphere began to take shape overhead.
Ethan’s breathing turned ragged.
The colossal energy sphere was still condensing overhead. Layer after layer of golden light pressed down, forcing even the thunder net above the city to sink lower and lower. The air felt like it had been clenched in a giant fist. On the walls, the defenders could barely keep their footing.
Ethan didn’t rely on instinct this time.
He opened the system and ran a scan on the figure.
A cold panel of data unfolded in front of his eyes.

Ethan stared at the cascading lines of numbers, his chest rising and falling harder.
36 Tier.
Abyssal Dragon.
Crimson Ultimate Hero.
Every stat was absurd. Attack, Defense, Spell Power, Knowledge—each one far beyond anything he’d faced so far. And the worst part? Caldrath had Magic Immunity, immune to all magic. Stack that with Sacred Realm, Divine Dragon-King’s Empowerment, and Heart of the Unyielding, and he basically had no normal weaknesses.
This wasn’t an enemy hanging on through some weird trick.
This was a monster standing on an entirely different level.
Ethan curled his fingers into a fist. Translucent lightning crackled between his knuckles in tight, snapping pops. The initial shock passed, and then his eyes caught on one line.
Race: Abyssal Dragon.
If he came from the dragon race...
Then there was still a way.
Ethan carried Dragon God bloodline power too. Even if it wasn’t the strength he relied on most, against a dragon it couldn’t be useless.
He drew a slow breath, forcing down the pain where that foreign power was trying to tear him apart from inside.
Then his bloodline erupted.
The moment it surged out, the translucent lightning around him split to either side, and the violet runes drew back. Golden bloodline light flared from his chest, his arms, and the center of his brow, streaming along his body and converging into his palm.
In seconds, a massive Dragon God phantom took shape in his hand.
It wasn’t so huge it blotted out the sky—yet it was terrifyingly solid. Horns, scales, claws... every outline was forged from pure bloodline power. The phantom lifted its head—
—and the space around it immediately started to fracture, unable to bear the pressure coming from the source of that bloodline.
Golden dragon might rolled outward.
Caldrath’s condensing energy sphere stuttered.
Then his enormous body actually began to tremble.
Not the tremble of injury—the instinctive response of a bloodline being struck by something higher. The rage in his eyes froze for a beat. The energy patterns across his chest, shoulders, and spine slipped into chaos. Storm, Venom, Forest, Wrath, Chaos, Demonic Power—six different forces surged out at once, piling into a thick energy barrier around him.
The barrier wrapped Caldrath tight, like armor made of laws.
Like he was trying to block the bloodline suppression pouring off that Dragon God phantom.
