Chapter 232: Chapter 233: Arrival of the New Being
AN: My eyes are getting sleepy but I released another Chapter today because of only one person and that is ’aaaninja’ my number one fan. I am going to bed. bye bye.
The membrane between universes shimmered like a living veil woven from threads of liquid starlight and primordial chaos. It pulsed with the raw boundary forces that separated one cosmos from another—immense energies that could annihilate lesser entities in an instant. Yet when Runar approached, the barrier seemed to recognize him. It parted smoothly, almost reverently, as if welcoming a sovereign rather than admitting a visitor.
He stepped through without hesitation.
There was no violent rupture, no explosion of clashing laws, no cataclysmic shockwave. One moment he existed in the familiar weave of his home reality; the next, he stood fully within William’s universe. The transition was seamless, elegant—a single unhurried stride that carried the weight of transcendence.
The ambient pressure hit him immediately. This universe operated under far harsher conditions than his own. The very fabric of space was denser, the energy flows thicker and more volatile, capable of crushing peak Supremes who failed to adapt quickly enough. To ordinary beings, it would feel like wading through an ocean of molten starfire while gravity multiplied tenfold. Yet for Runar, it was nothing.
The crushing forces washed over his form like a refreshing mist. The higher energy density hummed around him, vibrant and alive, but it did not press down. Instead, it seemed to adjust, subtly realigning in deference to his presence. The universe itself made room for him.
As an Information Lifeform, Runar’s mind operated on a scale that defied mortal comprehension. Near-infinite computational threads awakened in the background of his consciousness. Without conscious effort, he began analyzing the deeper principles woven into the very fabric of William’s universe. He sensed elegant lattices of fundamental rules and principles—hidden structures governing causality, entropy, and the flow of potentiality that even William himself might not have fully mapped. Layers upon layers of subtle design revealed themselves to him, beautiful in their complexity. He stored these insights effortlessly, cross-referencing them against his own accumulated knowledge for later contemplation.
A faint smile touched his lips. ’Fascinating,’ he thought. ’This universe has matured well.’
Before he could delve deeper, a familiar presence coalesced before him in a brilliant flare of star-core radiance. William manifested fully, his form towering yet composed, radiating the absolute authority of a universe’s architect and ruler. But the moment his senses locked onto Runar, the cosmic being’s aura flickered with visible surprise.
William’s eyes widened slightly. "I almost thought I had let a powerful invader into my universe," he said, his voice booming yet carrying an undercurrent of genuine unease. "Man, you are freaking strong now. Why do I feel like you can destroy me with a thought?"
Runar regarded his old acquaintance with calm amusement. His humanoid form remained unchanged—tall, perfectly proportioned, with features that transcended mere physical attractiveness. He was beyond handsome, beyond divine. His presence radiated an effortless perfection, an embodiment of the Dao itself. Every line, every subtle shift in his posture spoke of ultimate harmony between existence and law.
"Because I can," Runar replied simply, his tone light and matter-of-fact.
William froze, the starlight in his eyes dimming for a split second.
Runar’s smile widened just a fraction. "Don’t worry. I will keep you and your universe alive. You have some interesting principles in you—elegant work, truly."
A heavy beat of silence hung between them.
Then Runar chuckled softly, the sound resonant and warm, carrying across the empty expanse of stabilized void around them. William stared for another moment before bursting into laughter as well—his own laughter slightly strained, a touch too loud. Outwardly, the ruler of this universe played along with the humor. Internally, however, William’s thoughts were in chaos. ’Who jokes about destroying an entire universe like they’re commenting on the weather? This man. This absolute insane man.... he’s not even trying to hide it anymore.’
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, William regained his composure. "You really haven’t changed in the ways that matter. Come on—you’re just in time. The first tournament is about to begin. The delegation from Willith’s universe arrived yesterday. They’re still getting accustomed to the higher pressure here. Some of their Supremes are taking it harder than expected."
Runar nodded once, falling into step beside William as they began moving toward the main exchange venue. "Lead the way. I look forward to seeing how this unfolds."
The journey was short but visually stunning. They traversed a specially stabilized region of space—a colossal floating platform engineered to host millions without collapsing under the strain of clashing powers. Vast arrays of crystalline barriers shimmered in the distance, reinforced by William’s personal authority. Viewing constructs hovered like miniature galaxies, ready to broadcast every moment of the upcoming tournament to distant observers across both universes.
As they drew closer, Runar’s aura did not flare or announce itself with dramatic flair. It simply spread—a natural overflow from an existence that had long since transcended ordinary boundaries. It was not intentional pressure, nor a show of dominance. It was simply who he was now.
The effect was instantaneous and overwhelming and it moved through the crowd like a wave.
Millions of beings—cultivators at every level, ancient gods, cosmic entities, and proud representatives from both universes—felt their bodies lock up.
Knees buckled en masse.
Foreheads pressed against the cold, unyielding surface of the platform as an irresistible force compelled them downward. Whispers turned to gasps, then to stunned silence. The air grew thick with reverence and primal fear.
Even the Supremes from Willith’s side, ancient and unyielding beings who had dominated their own cosmos for eons, found themselves bowing deeply and their legs folding without their permission. Their proud expressions twisted into masks of shock and fear.
As universal beings they had absolute control over their bodies. But In the Presence of a Multiversal being, a full fledge Information lifeform, their bodies had to disobey them.
One particularly ancient entity, a skeletal figure wreathed in void flames, trembled as he fought against the compulsion, only to sink lower.
Among them, Wukong stood out. The legendary monkey king had already unleashed his pseudo-principle in instinctive resistance, golden light flaring around his muscular form. His half-step Multiversal cultivation base roared to life, staff gripped tightly in one hand. Yet even he struggled. Sweat beaded across his brow. His legs shook with visible effort as he fought to keep his head partially raised. His eyes, usually filled with defiant mischief, now held a mixture of shock and reluctant respect. He remained standing—barely—but it was clear the effort cost him dearly.
The only exceptions were Runar’s family.
Celestia, Cassia, and Nyla stood gracefully near the central viewing pavilion. His aura wrapped around them not as crushing pressure, but as a gentle, protective embrace—warm, familiar, and infinitely comforting. Celestia’s eyes lit up with quiet pride and affection. Cassia offered a serene, knowing smile that spoke volumes. Nyla bounced slightly on her toes, her excitement barely contained as she waved subtly in his direction.
Runar finally noticed the sea of kneeling figures surrounding him. He blinked once, as if mildly surprised by the reaction, and with a casual thought, retracted his aura entirely. The invisible tide receded as suddenly as it had appeared, leaving behind a vacuum of stunned silence.
"Sorry about that," he said calmly. His voice carried effortlessly across the entire venue, clear and resonant to every ear without need for amplification or arrays. "You don’t need to mind me. Carry on as you were."
Slowly, hesitantly, the crowd began to rise. The movement started at the edges and rippled inward like a wave. Whispers erupted immediately—first tentative, then growing into a roaring storm of conversation. Millions of eyes turned toward the newcomer. Some burned with awe, others with fear, and many with a fierce, calculating curiosity. The atmosphere, already electric with anticipation for the tournament’s first round, now crackled with something far more profound: the unmistakable presence of a being who stood above it all.
Wukong lowered his staff and looked at Runar across the platform. He didn’t say anything. He just looked for a long moment with an expression that had settled into something genuine, something past surprise.
Then he nodded once and thought to himself, ’this guy is really full of surprises’.
Runar nodded back.
Runar continued forward without further comment, joining his family at the central area. Celestia’s hand found his immediately, squeezing gently in silent welcome. Cassia leaned in close, murmuring something only he could hear that drew a soft laugh from him. Nyla threw her arms around him in a quick, enthusiastic hug before stepping back with sparkling eyes.
"You took your time," They all said simultaneously.
"Well I got thrown out of the universe," he said.
"We know," Cassia said. "We were there."
"The Universal will was right to throw you out," Celestia said. "The universe would have collapsed if she didn’t."
Nyla said. Her hand was still in his. "Are you alright?"
"Yes."
"Good, let’s watch the show."
William and a clone of Willith body hovered nearby, still visibly processing the casual display of dominance. William shot Runar a sideways glance that mixed respect with lingering wariness. "Well... that certainly made an impression." Willith repsponded "Tell me about it."
Runar shrugged lightly, his expression peaceful. "Unavoidable, it seems. Shall we begin?"
The venue slowly returned to a semblance of normalcy, though the charged atmosphere refused to dissipate. Organizers moved with renewed urgency. Participants from both sides glanced repeatedly toward Runar’s position. The first match pairings began to manifest in glowing holographic arrays above the central arena.
The exchange had truly begun.
And the multiverse would never forget the day he arrived.
