Chapter 226: Chapter 227: The Weight of a Monster and new Principles
Three weeks passed.
One week remained before the exchange.
Runar hadn’t left the training dimension.
Every cell in his body had crossed the galaxy-level threshold. The energy he had accumulated over three months was enough for two realm crossings, and it sat inside him like a compressed storm — vast, dense, pressing outward against his control without actually breaching it. He held it with 1% of his consciousness. Not because holding it was difficult. Because releasing it now, before his comprehension was ready, would be wasteful. He would not attempt something this size on an incomplete foundation.
The remaining 99% went to comprehension.
The Principle of Genesis had been deepening for three months. It was close to its peak now — the layers narrowing, the distance between his current understanding and the full principle measurable rather than vast. The Principle of Elements had caught up to it over the past three weeks. Both sat at around 91% complete.
The quantum brain chip ran continuously in the background, not doing the comprehension for him but optimizing the conditions around it. Flagging the most productive angles. Managing his mental load so the comprehension itself could run without interference. It had been doing this for weeks and the effect was visible in the numbers — the rate of progress faster than it would have been through cultivation alone.
He was almost done.
He pushed the remaining distance and held still and let the principles do what they needed to do.
Willith felt it from the outside.
She had been aware of Runar’s cultivation since the day he entered the training dimension. At first it registered the way significant cultivation events always registered in her universe — a presence, a direction, something worth noting. She monitored it the way she monitored everything in her domain. Naturally, without effort.
Then the dimension went dark.
She wasn’t sure exactly when it happened. The change had been gradual enough that she hadn’t caught the precise moment. At some point in the past weeks Runar had sealed the training dimension from the inside — not with arrays or formations in the conventional sense, but with his own power pressed against the walls of the space, locking it in a way that excluded her perception entirely.
She had tried to look in twice.
Both times she found a wall.
That wall should not have been possible for anyone below her level to construct. She was the Universal Will of this universe. The training dimension existed inside her domain. She should have been able to perceive everything inside it the way she perceived everything else within herself.
She could not.
It felt like being locked out of her own house. Not painful. Not dangerous. Just deeply, fundamentally wrong in a way that sat badly with her regardless of how she tried to frame it.
She could still feel him from the outside. The energy radiating through the walls gave her a general read on what was inside, and what that read told her was simple: the scale had been increasing every day for three months and had not slowed down.
She thought about the moment she had accepted his reincarnation. She had used the word monster then, but lightly — the way you use a word to describe something impressive without fully meaning its weight.
The word sat differently now.
She wasn’t afraid of him. That wasn’t quite the right description. But there was something close to it in how she felt when she pressed her awareness against the sealed dimension and found the wall again. Something in her domain had become strong enough to exclude her from it. That had not happened before. Not once, in the entire history of her existence.
She thought about the exchange opening in one week. About William on the other side of the wormhole, his universe full of beings who operated at a level hers was still working toward. About what Runar was going to emerge from that dimension as.
She had made a deal with a reincarnator because reincarnators enriched her universe. She had expected growth. She had expected someone exceptional.
She had not expected this.
She held her awareness at the edge of the sealed dimension for a moment longer, feeling the energy press against the walls from inside without breaching them, feeling the scale of what was being held in place by what she understood to be a fraction of his attention.
Then she withdrew her awareness and sat with the feeling.
Uncertainty. She recognized it because it was rare enough that she always recognized it when it arrived.
One week.
Inside the training dimension, 1% of Runar’s consciousness held the energy in place.
The remaining 99% pushed the two principles toward their peak.
The Genesis principle narrowed toward completion. The Elements principle kept pace beside it.
His cells felt like miniature galaxies spinning inside him. Each one pulsed with dense, galaxy-level energy. They no longer felt like separate parts of his body. They felt alive — rotating, shining, connected in ways that made his entire being feel like a small universe breathing on its own.
The Principle of Genesis and the Principle of Elements were both close to completion.
Then, without warning, they started resonating with each other.
It began as a faint vibration deep inside his soul. The two principles touched, and something new sparked between them. Genesis provided the foundation — creation, origin, the beginning of all things. Elements gave it direction — the fundamental forces that shaped reality. Together, they started to weave into something greater.
Runar did not move. He simply held still and let the resonance deepen. The vibration grew stronger, clearer, more harmonious. His quantum brain chip ran at full speed, recording every detail, optimizing the conditions so the two principles could continue merging without breaking.
Then something new happened.
The resonance between the Principle of Genesis and the Principle of Elements grew so strong that it created a spark deep inside his soul. That spark gave birth to two entirely new principles.
The first was the Principle of Unity.
It felt warm and complete. It was the power to bring opposing things together — Body and Soul, light and darkness, two universes, two versions of the same person. Runar felt it settle into his mind like a missing piece finally clicking into place. He began comprehending it immediately, letting the new principle reveal its layers to him.
The second was the Principle of Nothingness.
It felt cold and vast. It was the power of true emptiness — the space between all things, the silence before creation, the ability to erase or return something to the state of nothing. It was the natural counterpart to Genesis. Runar felt its weight settle beside the other principles. He started comprehending it as well, carefully exploring its depths.
His mind was now working on four principles at once.
The quantum brain chip adjusted instantly, splitting its processing power to support all of them. The resonance grew even stronger. His galaxy-level cells spun faster. The energy inside him pressed harder against his control, but he held it steady.
The moment Runar grasped all four principles, they started resonating together in his mind. Genesis, Elements, Unity, and Nothingness pushed and pulled against each other, growing stronger, clearer, and deeper with every breath. The resonance was powerful and harmonious, like four voices singing the same song in perfect sync.
He was no longer just on the edge of breakthrough.
He was building something new.
One week left.
He pushed gently and kept breathing.
Meanwhile, Willith, who had been watching from the edge of the training dimension, became even more terrified. She could sense that the person inside had just become far more terrifying than before. She quickly withdrew her awareness and returned to her origin core. In her heart, she muttered, "I will kick him out the moment he is done." But even as she thought it, she knew the truth — when that time came, she might not have the strength to do so.
