Chapter 31: Chapter 30: The Ruthlessness of Seizing the Sword

As Wen Qingye spoke, he was about to walk into the Alchemy Room when he suddenly felt a gust of wind tear past him. Wen Qingye immediately knew something was wrong.

"Great Heaven-Tearing Monument Hand!"

Wen Qingye instantly gathered a massive amount of Primordial Qi in his palm. The crowd only saw a giant Palm Seal shoot from his hand. The Palm Seal carried an unparalleled, domineering aura, and the air slightly distorted wherever it passed.

BANG!

Wen Qingye felt a surge of heat in his chest and couldn’t help but stumble back several steps. When Wen Qingye straightened up, he saw Yann Xiangyang standing there, staring at him in astonishment.

"What a domineering Palm Technique!" Yann Xiangyang couldn’t help but exclaim in praise.

Wen Qingye frowned and said, "I wonder what you mean by taking my sword?"

Yann Xiangyang’s eyes narrowed slightly as he smiled. "Your sword isn’t bad. I’ll keep it for a few days to admire it. I’ll give it back after I’m done."

Yann Xiangyang’s words carried a tone that permitted no refusal. After speaking, he held Wen Qingye’s sword, tilted his head back, and turned to leave.

A dark glint flashed in Wen Qingye’s eyes. ’It’s been so many years since I’ve been this furious. My sword was actually stolen from me. This is something I absolutely cannot tolerate.’

But with his current strength, facing Yann Xiangyang was undoubtedly like an egg striking a stone—a gross overestimation of his own abilities. Wen Qingye could only swallow his anger.

Just then, Xiaxia slowly walked over and said in a low voice, "Master, I heard your younger brother is named Wen Tongyu?"

Wen Qingye’s brow furrowed. "How do you know that?"

Xiaxia looked at Wen Qingye and said, "Everyone in Qig Mountain Academy knows by now. Wen Tongyu has become a prodigy of great renown in recent years, famous throughout the entire Celestial Martial Country. And the reason Yann Xiangyang is giving you trouble is because he admires your younger brother, Wen Tongyu."

"Admires Wen Tongyu?" Wen Qingye sneered. "So he gives me trouble?"

Xiaxia lowered her head and said no more.

’A prodigy?’ For some reason, a chill rose in Wen Qingye’s heart. ’Hmph, I’d like to see just how stunningly talented he is.’

...

Wen Qingye traveled alone through the Hundred Break Mountains. By now, he had been away from North Mountain for half a day and was gradually leaving the area controlled by Qig Mountain Academy.

The Hundred Break Mountains teemed with Demon Beasts. The Demon Beasts here were extremely vicious and cunning, but the area was also filled with opportunities. Many Martial Artists were willing to risk coming here, all for a chance at a great reward.

The Hundred Break Mountains were boundless.

Stepping inside, ancient trees that had grown for hundreds or perhaps thousands of years blotted out the sky. All sorts of weeds grew wild, and thorns carpeted the ground in a dense layer. Withered leaves covered the forest floor, making a natural rustling sound with every step.

Wen Qingye frowned and thought to himself, ’In a deep, old forest like this, with such dense weeds, vines, and ancient trees, I wouldn’t even have time to react if a Demon Beast appeared right in front of me.’

This was only the periphery of the Hundred Break Mountains, so the Demon Beasts were not very high-level. Most were at the Qi Cultivation or Refining Essence stages. However, deeper within, the Hundred Break Mountains were home to Demon Beasts at the Refining Spirit level.

Therefore, Wen Qingye had no choice but to proceed with caution, his eyes fixed ahead and his ears on high alert.

HISS!

Suddenly, Wen Qingye felt a sinister chill. Not far ahead, a huge python was coiled around a tree. The python had cyan-black scales and was as thick as a man’s wrist. Its eyes glowed with a green light as it flicked its tongue, staring motionlessly at Wen Qingye.

Wen Qingye didn’t feel threatened by this python. He walked slowly toward it. Seeing Wen Qingye approach, a bloodthirsty light appeared in the python’s eyes.

SWOOSH!

Seeing the python take the initiative to attack, Wen Qingye stepped back with his right foot. His hand shot out like lightning, clean and decisive, and he seized the python by its vital spot, seven inches from its head. Then he forcefully slammed it against the ground.

BANG!

Wen Qingye knew the python wasn’t quite dead yet. He grabbed it with both hands and repeatedly whipped it against the tree until the trunk was spattered with its dark green blood. Only then did Wen Qingye let go.

Wen Qingye looked at the python in his hands; it was now as dead as could be. This Demon Beast was about at the Sixth Level of Qi Cultivation. Wen Qingye took out its gallbladder, swallowed it in one gulp, and then casually tossed the snake’s body aside.

As the saying goes, a snake’s entire body is a treasure, and the most precious part is the gallbladder. Snake gallbladders have properties that clear heat, detoxify the body, and improve eyesight. Wen Qingye naturally wouldn’t let it go to waste.

After a quick cleanup, Wen Qingye continued onward. Encountering anything in such a deep, old forest was normal, so Wen Qingye kept his ears pricked up. He would immediately know if there was the slightest rustle in his surroundings.

THUMP THUMP!

Wen Qingye’s brow twitched as he saw a white rabbit flash past him.

Wen Qingye suddenly pushed off with both feet, his body leaping nimbly. He landed directly on a branch of an ancient tree about seven or eight meters high. Beneath the dense ancient trees of the Hundred Break Mountains, the foliage was lush, blocking any rain from dripping down.

Wen Qingye looked ahead. Many areas were obscured by branches and leaves, making it difficult to see clearly, but he still managed to spot a Demon Beast.

"A one-horned boar?" Wen Qingye said.

Before coming, Wen Qingye had heard about the strength classifications of many Demon Beasts. This one-horned boar was a Demon Beast at the Eighth Level of Qi Cultivation. It was extremely ferocious and fought without fear of death, making it a rather troublesome opponent.

Wen Qingye slowly approached the one-horned boar, closing the distance to about ten meters. Hiding in a patch of tall grass, he could clearly see the boar through the dense weeds.

WHOOSH!

Wen Qingye’s body suddenly shot forward like a Flood Dragon emerging from its cave. He burst out from the tall grass. The one-horned boar immediately whipped its head around, only to see Wen Qingye descending upon it like a god from the heavens, carrying a sharp gale as he arrived by its side.

The one-horned boar roared madly, its sharp horn aimed directly at Wen Qingye.

"Celestial Hand!"

Without hesitation, Wen Qingye slapped his palm forward. A giant Hand Seal shot from his hand, carrying a domineering might as it flew directly toward the one-horned boar’s head.

The one-horned boar had no time to dodge and was struck directly by Wen Qingye’s palm.

CRACK!

A sickening, bone-shattering sound rang out, and the one-horned boar’s movements slowed considerably. Wen Qingye naturally wouldn’t pass up such a good opportunity. He executed a Butterfly Step, gliding in to close the distance to the boar.

"Hah!"

Wen Qingye’s right foot slammed directly into the one-horned boar’s abdomen. The boar’s entire body was sent flying, crashing heavily into an ancient tree. The leaves on the tree fell like rain, rustling down.

THUD! 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

The one-horned boar fell directly to the ground. Its skull had been shattered, and blood continuously seeped from its mouth. Its limbs struggled and trembled a few times before it finally went still.
