Chapter 138 -138: Once Again (6)_1
Jing Haohao stared at Liang Chen for a while, then suddenly seemed to snap out of her daze. Without worrying about whether Liang Chen would be angry, she quickly pulled the quilt over her face and firmly covered herself.
Seeing Jing Haohao’s childlike move, Liang Chen felt even more cheerful. He raised his hand and ruffled her hair that had been exposed. He used the same gentle tone as before and said, “Haohao, you are really adorable.”
Jing Haohao buried herself even deeper into the quilt.
Liang Chen couldn’t help but chuckle. He stood by the bed, watching the human dumpling on it, stood there a while, then turned and walked away, picking up his laptop and documents, and went into the study.
Only when Jing Haohao heard the door shutting did she dare to remove the quilt. She gasped for air for a bit, then realized how fast her heart was beating.
She had… she had actually… succumbed… to his kiss…
…
The next day was Friday, the busiest day of the week for Liang Chen. He even skipped breakfast and rushed to a company-wide morning meeting, which ended around eleven in the morning.
Upon returning to his office, Liang Chen immediately asked his assistant to go downstairs to order lunch.
As he waited for his lunch, he stood in front of the floor and ceiling windows in his office, looking at the clear Autumn sky in Jiangshan City. Suddenly, he remembered kissing Jing Haohao the previous night, and he couldn’t help but smile.
It was just a kiss, after all. He and Jing Haohao had shared a bed many times. What in the world was there to be excited about?
However, seeing Jing Haohao looking at him silly after the kiss tasted like sugar to his mood – pure delight and sweetness.
While Liang Chen was replaying that kiss in slow motion in his head for about the tenth time, there was a sudden knock on the office door.
“Come in.”
The office door opened, and his assistant came in carrying two lunch boxes.
The assistant took out the dishes one by one from the lunch boxes and arranged them on the table. When he served the last dish, he noticed some minced garlic on top of a plate of vegetables. His body involuntarily shivered as he glanced up at Liang Chen and said, “I falsely ordered this dish, Mr. Liang…
Liang Chen’s meal tastes were as picky as his personality. He couldn’t stand seeing a hint of garlic in his meals.
Just as the assistant thought he was about to be grumbled at, Liang Chen calmly sat on the sofa and asked him to sit as well, saying, “Let’s eat.”
The assistant stiffened on the spot, looking at Liang Chen in disbelief. Their big boss wasn’t angry?
