Chapter 354: Chapter 353: Another Meeting on the Elemental Level
The Celestial Tribulation formed. Su Qi stood beneath the tribulation clouds, looking up at it.
She mobilized all the Cultivation in her body, ready to receive the Celestial Tribulation at any moment.
Normally, the Celestial Tribulation for advancing from Tier Two to Tier Three wasn’t too complex, let alone difficult.
Then, a bolt of lightning struck down from the Celestial Tribulation. The lightning was incredibly swift and ferocious, carrying the aura and inherent majesty of the tribulation itself.
Jiang Zuo sighed in relief as he watched the lightning. The bolt wasn’t strong. With his Array in place, Su Qi would be completely fine.
But before Jiang Zuo could fully exhale his relief, he tensed up again. The Array hadn’t been activated.
Or rather, Su Qi hadn’t activated the Array at all.
Jiang Zuo exclaimed, "Why? Is there a problem with the Array?"
Then he realized that wasn’t it. The Array was perfectly fine. Moreover, Su Qi’s expression was calm; she was clearly doing this on purpose.
Jiang Zuo’s expression turned incredibly sour, like seeing a disobedient child who, when told to go study, runs off to an internet cafe to play games instead.
’Can’t she just make things a little easier for me?’
The bolt of lightning then shot rapidly toward Su Qi. But Su Qi just calmly raised her sword. She was going to face the Celestial Tribulation head-on.
BOOM!!!
Su Qi clashed directly with the bolt of lightning.
The Celestial Thunder dissipated. Su Qi stood there, steady and stable, with arcs of lightning still flickering around her body.
Seeing Su Qi completely unscathed, Jiang Zuo sighed in relief again. He realized that watching Su Qi go through her Crossing the Tribulation was far more nerve-wracking than going through his own.
At that moment, Jiang Zuo saw Su Qi looking straight at the Celestial Tribulation. Her eyes were completely calm, nothing like the Su Qi he knew.
Calm, wise, and confident.
’She’s not going to use the Array anymore.’
This was the message Jiang Zuo read in her eyes.
Jiang Zuo sighed. He didn’t understand. Why wouldn’t Su Qi use the Array he had prepared?
However, he did understand one thing: why Jingyue had told Su Qi not to contact him while she was away.
Because to Jiang Zuo, Su Qi was a young lady, a girl.
But without Jiang Zuo around, Su Qi was no longer a child. She was a mature Cultivator.
"Presumptuous." This was the only word Jiang Zuo could think of.
But he wouldn’t say much in front of Su Qi. Because if it were him, he wouldn’t have used an Array either, especially one prepared for him by someone else.
He had his own pride. He didn’t need anyone’s help.
He could face the Celestial Tribulation alone.
But Su Qi was different. These people weren’t like him. Using an Array for Crossing the Tribulation was perfectly normal. Who in their right mind would willingly gamble with their chances of success?
’Does Su Qi have her own pride, too?’ Jiang Zuo couldn’t help but wonder.
Soon, the second part of the Celestial Tribulation descended. It was another bolt of Celestial Thunder.
Facing this lightning, Su Qi’s expression didn’t change at all. She just had to receive it.
BOOM!!
BOOM!!
Two thunderous roars echoed across East Water Island.
One was the sound of Su Qi taking on the lightning; the other was an explosion from out at sea.
A powerful fluctuation of energy immediately followed.
After confirming that Su Qi was alright, Jiang Zuo couldn’t help but look in the direction of the power fluctuation from the sea.
’A power fluctuation no weaker than Tier Seven. Does that mean they have a Tier Seven on their side?’ This was not good news. If even the Nether Sea Monsters had a Tier Seven, then the other Sea Monsters had to be at least Tier Three.
East Water Island couldn’t possibly hold out against so many Sea Monsters at Tier Three and above.
By now, East Water Island’s defensive Arrays were fully activated. All the tourists had been gathered in the center of the island, where it was safer.
The Cultivation of these tourists was generally not high.
"What in the world is going on?"
"I heard East Water Island is under attack."
"Why?"
"Did they research something forbidden? And angered some existence at the bottom of the sea? Whatever, the reason isn’t important. We need to figure out a way to escape."
At that moment, a Cultivator floated in the air and announced, "Fellow Daoists, according to our intel, we have encountered Nether Sea Monsters. Most of them are mindless beasts, but they possess a Magical Treasure that allows them to evolve by devouring. I hope all of you will not act recklessly."
Soon, someone below asked, "What does he mean?"
Someone immediately replied, "It’s simple. We’ve become experience fodder. The enemy is like a player who can level up by killing monsters, and the NPC is telling us not to feed them kills.
"It’s one thing if you die, but it’ll be a huge pain if you let the enemy get fed."
The others: "..."

In a place far out at sea, hidden from sight, a young man gazed at East Water Island. "I didn’t expect to find such a powerful expert here. But how long can you all hold out?"
But whether East Water Island lived or died had nothing to do with him. He wasn’t after East Water Island anyway.
What he wanted were the Seven Elemental Spirits.
Seven Elemental Spirits appearing and growing in sync was a rare occurrence.
As for the Nether Sea Monsters, he had just released them on a whim. He had come out of seclusion so much earlier than planned. How could he not bring humanity a little "gift" to justify his early appearance?
He then decided to head to East Water Island. He was going to find the Seven Elemental Spirits and capture them.
Then, he would use them to complete the final link of his Dream Realm. It might not be enough, but every little bit helped.
But just as he was about to head over, the might of the Celestial Tribulation forced him to retreat continuously.
’What’s going on? This isn’t an ordinary Celestial Tribulation?’ He knew someone on East Water Island was Crossing the Tribulation, but the range of the tribulation wasn’t that large. Why could its power force him back?
Then, a thought struck him. ’The Daughter of Celestial Favor?’
’Damn it, why is it her again? No, I have to find a way to kill her.’ But with East Water Island’s Arrays active, the Nether Sea Monsters couldn’t possibly kill the Daughter of Celestial Favor.
And he certainly couldn’t do it himself. Right now, he was desperate to avoid the Daughter of Celestial Favor; approaching her would be suicide.
In the end, the young man sighed. He would have to ignore the Daughter of Celestial Favor for now. What he wanted at the moment were the Seven Elemental Spirits.
He quickly closed his eyes. He was going to the Elemental Level. The Celestial Tribulation shouldn’t affect him there.
Besides, it should be easy to find the Elemental Spirits on the Elemental Level, since they were all nearby.
Once he took care of the Seven Elemental Spirits, he would deal with the island’s Defenses, and then have the Nether Sea Monsters dispose of the Daughter of Celestial Favor.

While watching Su Qi’s Crossing the Tribulation, Jiang Zuo hadn’t paid any attention to the battle outside. If Su Qi had activated the Tribulation Crossing Array, he might have taken a look. But now that she wasn’t using it at all, he couldn’t afford to be distracted.
Just then, however, he suddenly felt his Fire Elemental Minions becoming extremely agitated.
It was as if something monumental was happening, several times more severe than their last commotion.
Jiang Zuo frowned. He felt it too—an aura of danger, a powerful sense of crisis.
It wasn’t an immediate threat, but this person’s very existence was extremely dangerous.
And it was that feeling again—the feeling that someone posed a threat to Su Qi.
Jiang Zuo glanced at Su Qi, then closed his eyes. He needed to make a trip to the Elemental Level.
He had left a contingency in the Array. If anything went wrong, Jiang Zuo would still be able to protect Su Qi.
Jiang Zuo soon appeared on the Elemental Level. The Fire Elemental Minions, which had been in an uproar, instantly fell silent.
’Big Brother is here. We have nothing to fear. We are invincible.’
Soon, Jiang Zuo saw him: a young man was stepping on a Fire Elemental Spirit, while five or six other Elemental Spirits lay defeated to the side.
Jiang Zuo saw him, and he saw Jiang Zuo at the same time.
’We meet again.’
