Chapter 403: Chapter 377: I’ll Go With You

Alaric Winslow was in a good mood as he came ashore.

He hadn’t had a breakthrough in his state of mind for several years.

He never expected to have such a breakthrough after leaving The Holy Mountain this time. Perhaps coming out wasn’t a bad thing after all.

"Who might you be?"

Suddenly, a voice imbued with immense pressure echoed around him.

He seemed to be enveloped by a powerful Power Domain.

Alaric Winslow looked toward the depths of the isolated island and continued walking.

"Huh?"

This was the first time Morgan Linton had ever seen anything like it. Someone was moving freely within his Power Domain.

’Could it be one of the lords from The Holy Mountain?’

He immediately got up and rushed down the mountain.

***

The isolated island was vast, with a towering wall built right in its center.

The wall was made of a special metal and surrounded by the most advanced smart weaponry.

Inside the walls were special criminals escorted here by The Martial Affairs Bureau.

They were all High Rank Martial Cultivators, with the strongest reaching the Martial King Realm.

Therefore, the guards of The International Penitentiary were all High Rank Martial Cultivators, including one heavyweight warden.

He was the person in charge of The International Penitentiary, an Intermediate Supervisor directly appointed by The Holy Mountain, with a rotation every 50 years.

And Morgan Linton was the Intermediate Supervisor in charge of The International Penitentiary for this 50-year period.

"What business brings you here, sir?"

Morgan Linton covertly sized up Alaric Winslow, his heart tightening.

He had never seen him on The Holy Mountain, yet he couldn’t sense any aura from him.

There were only two possibilities: one, he was an ordinary person, or two, his power was at least an entire realm higher than his own.

"Are you Kael Miles, Morgan Linton, or Merck Gold?" Alaric Winslow pulled a piece of paper from his coat and read the names from it.

Upon hearing this, Morgan Linton immediately clasped his fists and respectfully performed the Ancient Martial Ceremony for Alaric Winslow.

"My lord, I am Morgan Linton..."

The people he had named were all Intermediate Supervisors managed by Landon Easton, one of the four great Advanced Enforcers of The Holy Mountain.

Alaric Winslow nodded slightly and continued reading from the paper. "Landon Easton will be entering seclusion soon to attempt a breakthrough. I am the Advanced Supervisor taking his place, Alaric Winslow."

Landon Easton was an Advanced Enforcer personally appointed by his master, one who had been taught the traditions of The Holy Mountain. He was someone his master trusted deeply.

And this piece of paper was written by Landon Easton, instructing him to find these three individuals for assistance in locating someone after leaving The Holy Mountain.

Morgan Linton’s heart leaped into his throat when he heard the man was from The Winslow Clan.

The Winslow Clan were the masters of The Holy Mountain. Their status there was far higher than that of outsiders like him.

If they wanted to receive the teachings of The Holy Mountain, they had to take a member of The Winslow Clan as their master.

Moreover, the current rules of The Martial World were established by The Winslow Clan. One could say they were the rulers of the entire planet’s Martial World.

"This disciple pays his respects to Saint Winslow."

"I am out for training this time. My identity must be kept secret."

Alaric Winslow took a Jade Token representing The Winslow Clan from his waist and showed it to him.

Morgan Linton immediately nodded in agreement.

Just as he was about to lead the new Advanced Supervisor to his residence, his phone suddenly rang.

He saw the name "Howard Winslow" flashing on the screen.

He was one of the heads of The International Martial Arts Bureau and also a member of The Winslow Clan.

Morgan Linton glanced at Alaric Winslow, then swiped to answer and put the call on speaker.

"Morgan Linton, Serene, a Basic Supervisor in Arcadia, had her meridians crippled by a 19-year-old girl. To be so powerful at such a young age, she must be a Chameleon. Send someone to deal with her immediately." The call ended abruptly after he finished speaking.

The commanding tone in the voice made a dark light flash in Morgan Linton’s eyes.

Apprehending people was originally the job of The International Martial Arts Bureau. A case like this, which clearly involved a High Rank Martial Cultivator, should have been handled by a Basic Supervisor. But he often leveraged his status as a member of The Winslow Clan to dump dangerous tasks like this on outsiders.

"What is the power level of a Basic Supervisor?"

Seeing that the newly appointed Advanced Supervisor seemed interested, Morgan Linton immediately replied, "At least the Advanced Great Martial King Realm."

"And what is your realm?"

"Intermediate Martial Venerate."

"Could you cripple a Basic Supervisor?"

Morgan Linton was taken aback, not quite understanding why he was being asked this, but he nodded nonetheless.

"A 19-year-old Martial Venerate. This person’s talent is quite good."

"My lord, she might be a Chameleon."

"What is a Chameleon?"

Afterward, Morgan Linton explained the recent events to Alaric Winslow in detail, but the man’s expression remained unchanged, making it impossible to guess his thoughts.

"My lord..."

"Whose order was this?"

"It was Lord Todd’s order."

Alaric Winslow fell into thought again.

’Toby Winslow is my martial uncle’s personal disciple...’

Across from him, Morgan Linton felt a little uneasy. "My lord?"

"I’ll go with you."

The Yamada Clan.

Dawn Miles and Elias Lennox, bringing Ditto Miles with them, paid a direct visit.

Elias Lennox handed the person at the gate a token engraved with a special pattern.

The person immediately invited them into the Yamada Clan’s territory.

As she looked at the surrounding scenery, the memories in Dawn Miles’s mind grew clearer and clearer.

She had actually been here before.

The red-threaded bell at the entrance was still hanging there.

’It seems it will be a full moon again in a few days.’

"Mr. Harrow, Miss Harrow, the Family Head invites you in—"

The two entered a quaint, antique waterside pavilion and met the Family Head of the Yamada Clan, Howard Yamada.

It had only been a few months, but he seemed to have already broken through to the Martial King Realm.

’As expected of a descendant of one of the three great Martial Gods.’

Sitting beside Howard Yamada was a young man who bore a strong resemblance to him.

A hint of surprise appeared in Dawn Miles’s eyes. The man’s aura felt very familiar, as if she had encountered it somewhere before.

But she hadn’t seen him the last time she was here.

Howard Yamada exchanged some pleasantries with them and then introduced the young man, "This is my son, Jasper."

Elias Lennox seemed to be well aware of his identity. He picked up his teacup and said with a smile, "It seems the medicine is quite effective."

"Many thanks for Mr. Harrow’s generosity," Howard Yamada replied with a smile of his own.

Dawn Miles finally remembered who he was and looked at him again in disbelief.

He was the "white-haired monster" who had been locked up in the courtyard.

His pupils and hair color were still very light, but now he was incredibly quiet. His eyes were especially vacant, staring fixedly at one spot as if he were in a daze.

"And this young lady is...?" Howard Yamada asked, lifting his teacup.

Elias Lennox suddenly put an arm around Dawn Miles. "She is my junior martial sister, Felicity Harrow."

Howard Yamada gave Dawn Miles a slight nod, his gaze carrying a peculiar look.

He then sighed to Elias Lennox, "If our ancestors knew of the current state of our two clans, they would surely be filled with sorrow!"

Elias Lennox picked up his teacup from the table, smiled, and said nothing.

"Mr. Harrow, what business brings you here this time?"

"The Trent Family has been annihilated by The Holy Mountain!"

"What—"

The cup in Howard Yamada’s hand fell directly onto the table, making a sharp CLATTER.

The splashing tea scalded the man beside him.

The man, who had been quiet just a moment ago, suddenly erupted in fury, letting out a beast-like roar at Howard Yamada.

"ROAR—"

"There, there... it’s okay..." Howard Yamada immediately stood up to soothe him and ordered someone to quickly wipe the pale-yellow liquid from the table.

But his eyes were fixated on the tea on the table as if he had been triggered by something. He flipped the table over, reverting to his "beast" state, and began stomping ferociously on the teacups.

Elias Lennox shielded Dawn Miles, quickly pushing back to the doorway.

Howard Yamada could be heard shouting to the people outside, "Quick, bring the medicine!"
