Chapter 597: Yanxia Meets Daniel
"Papa, I missed you so much!" Yanxia said, as she landed beside him.
"I missed you, too," Liam said to her, ruffling her hair.
Lucy followed behind her, looking disheveled. She staggered a bit as she landed and the traumatised look on her face was priceless for Liam.
"I never want to do that ever again," she muttered in a weak voice.
Liam chuckled when he saw this. He looked at Yanxia warmly.
"So, what do you plan to do now that you’re out of your seclusion?" He asked.
"I want to stay with Papa at all times. Also, you promised me that if I gain my human form, you will take me wherever you go. You have to keep your promise," Yanxia said.
Liam simply nodded and turned to Lucy.
"I want you to focus the Milky Way’s Galaxy monitoring station main on everything in the vicinity of our solar system. We have to keep an eye out for our future visitor or any unexpected guests," he said.
"Yes, Master. I also intend to compile the technological data of other civilisations for reference purposes and probably defence too," Lucy said.
"Good. Inform me immediately if anything comes up. I will be taking Yanxia out to tour Earth," Liam said.
"Yes, Master," Lucy nodded.
Liam turned to Yanxia, who was looking at him enthusiastically, nearly jumping up in excitement as she held his hand.
"Are you ready?" He asked, and she nodded impatiently.
He smiled and ruffled her hair one more time, then they vanished from the Dimensional Space.
They appeared in the darkness of space. Earth hung before them, blue and white, cloud systems drifting slowly across the surface.
"Wow! It looks beautiful!" Yanxia muttered in a low voice, filled with awe.
"Yeah. It is," Liam smiled.
"I want to see what it looks like, Papa! Take me down!" Yanxia said in excitement.
Liam smiled and the both of them vanished from the spot, appearing in the sky at an altitude higher than where planes fly.
Yanxia looked around, with the look of awe on her face becoming even more profound.
Thanks to her cultivation level, her spirit sense covered the entire Earth and she could see every nook and cranny of the planet, and nothing was hidden from her.
Yanxia’s face turned sour immediately and she quickly retracted her spirit sense. Liam smiled wryly when he saw this.
After his breakthrough to the Transcendent Stage, the range of his spirit sense grew and enveloped the entire Earth. But after what he saw the first time, he almost never uses his spirit sense to cover the Earth again.
"Hey, don’t focus on it. There are a lot of interesting places to see. And there are some very fun people I want you to meet," Liam said.
"Papa, is this how it has always been?" Yanxia asked, with a sad face.
Liam sighed heavily when he heard this. He didn’t want Yanxia to see those horrible things happening in Earth but there was nothing he could do about it.
"Not always but almost no difference," he replied.
Yanxia went silent for a moment, then she turned to Liam and held him tightly.
"I want to meet those very fun people, Papa," she said, a small smile crossing her face.
Liam nodded and the two of them descended a few metres before they disappeared.

Daniel was just finishing up with signing the ownership document of a property bought by the Family Office, when he heard the familiar sound of wind being displaced because of someone teleporting.
He smiled and looked up, and as he had expected, Liam was standing there. His smile froze and different thoughts started going through his head, when he saw the beautiful unfamiliar lady standing beside him and holding him endearingly.
He thought of something and his smile grew wider, as he quickly stood up and gave a small bow to the two of them.
"Sir. Welcome. It’s been a while," he said.
"Daniel. Yeah. It’s been a while. How have you been doing?" Liam said.
"I’ve been constantly drowning in documents. My vacation is getting farther and farther away from me," Daniel said, with a look of exhaustion but the smile behind it was unmistakable.
"Why don’t you talk to Lucy to create an AI assistant for you. It will really help relieve you of the workload."
"I’ve actually been thinking about it and had wanted to talk to you about it, but since you’re fine with it, I will talk to her about it."
"Good," Liam nodded, then turned to Yanxia who was still holding his arm.
"There’s someone I want to introduce to you. This is Yanxia. She’s a member of my family," he said.
"Yanxia, this is Daniel Conley. I consider him a member of the family. He helps manage things for me, with the help of your Aunt Lucy," Liam said to Yanxia.
Yanxia nodded in understanding and walked towards Daniel, then she stopped and gave a low bow.
"Uncle Daniel. It’s good to meet you. I would like to hug you but you’re a mortal and you would get hurt," Yanxia said.
Daniel, who had been smiling from being introduced, went stiff when he heard Yanxia call him a mortal.
He turned towards Liam who simply shrugged at him, making him even more confused.
"Ah. Miss Yanxia. Welcome to the family. I hope to get to know you more," he said.
Yanxia nodded. "Since you’re a member of the family, I will protect you. If anyone wants to hurt you, I will burn them to ashes," she said, as a small ball of flame formed in her hand.
Though the size of the flame was smaller than a ping-pong ball, the heat it was emanating was immense, and Daniel couldn’t help but gulp nervously.
"Yanxia, retract the flame," Liam said.
She did so immediately and walked to him.
"Papa, I want to meet the other people," she said.
"Sure," Liam said, ruffling her hair, before turning to Daniel.
"I will see you later," he said and waved at him.
Daniel waved back, and Liam and Yanxia disappeared the next moment.
Without a moment’s delay, he sent Lucy a message.
"He just came in with a lady, who he introduced as a member of the family, and she called me a mortal. Who is she? Where is she from? What world?"
Lucy’s response came a moment later.
"You met her? She had been in seclusion for five months. Make sure she doesn’t hug you or you will burn to ashes. I will tell you more about her when we meet. Give me a few minutes."
Daniel paused for a moment after he read the response. Then he sighed heavily.
"He’s really full of surprises," he muttered, as a proud smile crossed his face.
