Chapter 163: Chapter 93: Mirror Space, Celestial Eye Alien Race

"Don’t be so formal. You saved Xiaoyao, after all. Just call me Uncle Zhen," the man in the suit said calmly.

"Uncle Zhen."

Chen Yu tactfully accepted. Though he had no intention of climbing the social ladder, he didn’t mind having contact with an expert from such a family.

More friends meant more paths. That was one of his principles.

...

After confirming that Dongfang Yao was recovering, Chen Yu and the others stayed in the hospital room for a little while before leaving.

Her recovery would take time, and for now, Dongfang Yao couldn’t move.

"Chen Yu, even though the mission wasn’t completed, you still did a good job. The Alliance will give you credit for it."

In the hallway, the man with sunglasses and long hair looked at Chen Yu and spoke.

"Hm?"

Chen Yu frowned and looked at the man with sunglasses and long hair. "Sir, what do you mean? We’re not doing the mission anymore?"

Chen Yu certainly hadn’t forgotten the Alliance’s mission.

His main objective was the Source of Life.

This new Abyss was filled with Demon Beasts. In his eyes, it was the perfect dungeon.

One trip wasn’t nearly enough. He’d need to go at least one more time to be even remotely satisfied.

Besides, eliminating a large number of beasts would reduce future threats to Qu City.

But from the sound of things, it seemed like the mission was about to be terminated.

"We are still going to do it, but the difficulty of this Abyssal Realm has exceeded our expectations. For safety reasons, we’re changing personnel," the man with sunglasses and long hair said.

"Changing personnel..."

Chen Yu narrowed his eyes. "Who’s the replacement?"

The man with sunglasses and long hair glanced at Dongfang Yi, who was standing to the side.

Chen Yu understood at once.

Dongfang Yi hadn’t come to Qu City just to see Dongfang Yao.

"Chen Yu, don’t be discouraged. This mission is very difficult. It’s impressive you all managed to do what you did," the man with sunglasses and long hair said, trying to console him.

"Then how about we go together?" Chen Yu asked after a moment of silence.

"Aren’t you afraid of running into that kind of danger again?" the man with sunglasses and long hair asked in surprise.

Dongfang Yi’s gaze also turned toward him.

"It shouldn’t be a problem. I just happened to have a breakthrough yesterday, so my control was unstable," Chen Yu said.

The man with sunglasses and long hair: "?...!"

’Another breakthrough?!’

’What kind of monster is this guy!’

"I don’t think dealing with a level-eight beast will be a problem," Chen Yu said again. "And I can hold my own against a level-nine."

"!!!"

The man with sunglasses and long hair stared at him, inwardly shaken. Beside him, Dongfang Zhen and Dongfang Yi also looked at Chen Yu in astonishment.

Judging from Chen Yu’s words, he seemed to possess the absolute power to deal with a level-eight beast and could even go up against a level-nine.

"Chen Yu, this isn’t child’s play. You can’t be bluffing," the man with sunglasses and long hair said, his expression serious.

"I wouldn’t joke with my own life," Chen Yu said calmly.

The man with sunglasses and long hair gave him a deep look, then his gaze shifted to Dongfang Yi.

"If he wants to go, then let him. It was his mission to begin with," Dongfang Yi said, his expression placid.

Hearing this, the man with sunglasses and long hair looked at Chen Yu.

"Alright, you can go. But safety is the top priority."

Chen Yu nodded.

Not far away, An Ran kept her head down, saying nothing.

With this unexpected development, she could no longer participate.

She had only tagged along to see what was happening, never expecting the situation to get so out of hand.

With her level of strength, entering the realm now would be far too risky.

...

Qu City. The wilderness. Over the snowy landscape, the wind and snow howled.

Two figures shot through the air like streaks of light, heading toward the Tangula Abyss.

The heavy snow fell, and the wind was as sharp as a knife.

The environment was harsh, but for Chen Yu and Dongfang Yi, such factors had little effect.

Soon, the two arrived before the Abyssal Entrance.

Looking at the Abyssal Entrance, Dongfang Yi turned his gaze to Chen Yu. "Stay on your guard."

Chen Yu nodded.

Without another word, Dongfang Yi strode into the Abyssal Entrance.

Chen Yu followed close behind.

After a moment of disorientation, the two found themselves inside the Abyss.

The sky was still a hazy gray.

Just like yesterday, nothing had changed.

The only difference was the people who had entered.

Dongfang Yi scanned the mist, his gaze seeming to pierce right through it. After sweeping the area, he looked at Chen Yu. "Let’s head to where you encountered the beast tide. The Alien Race might be nearby."

Chen Yu nodded gently. Surrounded by his Biological Force Field, he shot into the sky and flew toward the depths of the mist.

Dongfang Yi followed close behind.

In just a few moments, Chen Yu and Dongfang Yi were back at the location of the previous day’s beast tide.

The land was a scene of utter devastation, a ruin with corpses strewn everywhere.

Demon Beast corpses were everywhere.

A day had passed, but nothing here had changed.

It was as if the battle had just ended.

Their figures descended from the sky. Looking at the scene before him, Dongfang Yi’s expression remained unchanged, perfectly calm.

"It seems yesterday’s battle was quite brutal," Dongfang Yi sighed.

Chen Yu replied, "It was brutal. There must be many more Demon Beasts in this Abyss World."

Dongfang Yi swept his gaze over the area and looked into the distance, while Chen Yu also began to investigate using his powerful Force Field senses.

"Hm?"

Soon, Chen Yu’s Force Field senses gave him feedback. He’d discovered an issue—his senses had picked up a peculiar aura.

"What is it? Did you find something?" Dongfang Yi asked, looking at Chen Yu.

Chen Yu gazed into the distance and nodded. "There’s a spot that feels off, but I can’t make out any activity."

"Then let’s go check it out," Dongfang Yi said.

Without another word, Chen Yu’s figure flickered. A streak of lightning flashed, and he vanished from sight.

’This guy’s speed... is something else,’ Dongfang Yi thought, his eyes narrowing for a fraction of a second.

He was a little stunned by that speed.

SWOOSH!

Right after, Dongfang Yi also followed.
