Chapter 111: Drawn

On reaching the massage parlor, David’s usual routine continued throughout the entire walk there.

As he drew closer, the memory fragments he had received kept ringing through his mind.

He kept trying to piece them together. Yet no matter how many times they resurfaced, they always stopped at the same point.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

Everything he remembered was from his own point of view.

He could clearly see his hands moving across the woman’s fresh, nude body.

But the moment he tried to look at her face, the memory would abruptly disappear.

It was like someone had torn that part away.

And that was the most irritating part.

Still, there was one thing he was absolutely certain about.

’That body... I’ve not seen it before recently.’

The thought lingered in his mind as he finally arrived at the house that served as the massage parlor.

Stopping outside, David let out a slow sigh before he pushed open the door, stepped inside, and shut it behind him.

The moment he entered, he was greeted by a familiar sight of Antonia.

The busty girl sat behind the counter as always.

The instant she noticed him, her eyes lit up.

"Oh, Denzel, you finally decided to show up to work. I was starting to think you were gonna call in sick."

Her voice carried a hint of relief.

However, before she could continue speaking, Denzel strode directly toward the counter.

Bang!

Both of his hands slammed heavily onto the table.

The sudden action startled Antonia.

Her eyes widened slightly as she stared at him.

The usual relaxed expression on Denzel’s face was nowhere to be seen.

Instead, he looked completely serious.

" I need you to tell me something."

"What’s that?" she asked, visibly astonished by the seriousness in his voice.

"I need you to tell me everything you know about Tara."

Antonia hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"Um... okay, but before I do that, I kind of have something for you."

Denzel frowned slightly.

"Something for me?"

Without another word, Antonia reached beneath the counter and pulled out a rolled-up piece of paper.

"For you," she said, handing it over.

Denzel accepted the paper and slowly unrolled it.

The moment his eyes landed on the contents, his expression sharpened.

Inside was information from Patrick.

It detailed the location where the deal would be taking place.

The meeting spot was situated quite some distance outside the village, in a relatively isolated area.

More importantly, the note made one thing abundantly clear.

Patrick expected him to come alone.

Denzel stared at the information for several seconds before taking a deep breath.

’Alright... I think I can work with this.’

He lowered the paper and glanced back at Antonia, who had already folded her arms across her chest, Protruding her massive bosoms.

"You know, you could have told me that you’re picking a fight with the village chief’s son. If you’d started with that, I wouldn’t have gotten myself involved at all."

Denzel shook his head.

"That isn’t what matters right now."

"Really?" Antonia asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because we’re going to get in a lot of trouble if you actually lay a finger on him. Do you have any idea what he’s even capable of?"

Denzel released a long sigh.

"Listen. I’m not dragging your name into any of this. He’s the one who challenged me to the duel. So all I have to do is show up. And besides, we’re going somewhere he’ll be completely alone. So anything that happens to him won’t be on my head."

Antonia stared at him.

"You really believe that?"

Denzel scoffed.

"Have you actually seen the way that prick behaves? Judge me if you want, but I’ll tell you one thing- I’m not about to feel sorry about wanting to kick the ass of a dehumanizing asshole."

For a moment, Antonia was left completely dumbfounded.

Eventually, she simply looked away and folded her arms more tightly across her chest.

Denzel let out another sigh.

"Listen. I really need to know everything about Tara. And if possible... I need you to tell me exactly what happened last night."

Antonia looked back at him.

"What do you mean by what happened last night?"

Denzel scratched the back of his head.

"Well...I don’t really know how to put this."

"But I don’t remember much after I got into the closet with Tara. Do you mind telling me what exactly happened?"

Antonia blinked several times.

"Um... Denzel, honestly, I don’t really think anything specific happened."

She scratched her head as she tried to remember.

"I mean, all I remember is that Tara stepped into the closet."

"And well...You two were awfully quiet in there. We didn’t really hear anything. But after about seven minutes or so, I opened the door and Tara immediately started saying that you guys had only just stepped inside."

"She was actually serious about it too. And well... She kept calling us cheaters. Saying that she had only just entered and that the seven minutes weren’t up yet."

’Hmm?’

Denzel’s eyes narrowed.

’We were in there for seven minutes, and she didn’t realize it? I’m pretty sure seven minutes and a single moment are two completely different things. That’s... interesting.’

The thought lingered in his mind.

After a few seconds, he looked back at Antonia.

"How about me? How did I behave?"

Antonia studied him for a moment.

"You? Well...I don’t really know how to say it. But you were awfully lively. I mean, for starters, you drank all the wine we had. And basically everybody just ended up having a good time."

She shrugged.

"Nothing really important happened after that. But it definitely felt like something changed when you came out of that closet. Maybe you and Tara just had a really good time in there."

Denzel immediately shook his head.

His gaze drifted away.

Antonia noticed it instantly.

The reaction wasn’t what she had expected.

Instead of looking pleased or embarrassed, he looked troubled, almost distressed.

Her expression softened slightly.

"You seriously don’t remember any of that?"

Denzel answered without even a moment’s hesitation.

"No, I don’t."

Antonia let out a long sigh before finally speaking.

"Look, you need to count your losses."

"At this point, you’re already at a disadvantage. I know you have some missing memories, but for all we know, you might not recover those memories for God knows how long."

"So right now, those memories demand a lot less attention than what’s waiting for you tomorrow."

As she spoke, her gaze locked firmly onto Denzel.

"Hey. Look at me."

She pointed at herself.

"Look me in the eyes."

Denzel did exactly that.

Then Antonia delivered her verdict.

"You’re going to lose."

There wasn’t even a hint of hesitation in her voice, just blunt honesty.

"You’re not physically strong enough. And I don’t believe you’re capable of competing against the village chief’s son in a straight fight."

"So..."

She paused briefly, as if organizing her thoughts.

Then she continued.

"I’m going to help you. I want to put you through a lot more training. You know what?"

"We’re skipping work. Tomorrow is the day of the duel."

"So whether you like it or not, you need to be ready."

She folded her arms across her chest.

"So what’s it going to be? Are you ready to go through with this? And when we’re done, we can try to figure out exactly what happened to you yesterday."

"Or are you just going to keep wondering about it while wasting what little time you have left?"

Denzel stood there silently.

Honestly, he was shocked.

Of all the people in the village, Antonia was the last person he had expected to hear something like that from. And in truth, this brought him relief that she valued him enough to still want to help him.

For the first time since all of this madness had started, it felt like he actually had someone he could talk to.

Taking a slow breath, Denzel smiled faintly.

’Hmm.This bitch just keeps giving me more and more reasons to add her to my harem.’

The thought crossed his mind, causing the corners of his lips to twitch upward slightly.

Then Antonia extended her fist toward him.

"Well? The duel is tomorrow. Let’s get started on our final training."

Denzel looked at the offered fist for a second before nodding.

Then he bumped it with his own.

And with that, the training began.

It was gruesome as it had always been. Yet Denzel endured every second of it.

The hours passed slowly.

The sun gradually drifted toward the horizon.

Soon after, night followed.

With that, Denzel returned home and after he had his dinner, being too exhausted to pursue any sexual conquest with Maria, simply returned to his bed, calling it a night.

And before either of them realized it, the day had finally come to an end.

Soon after that, morning arrived.

Bringing with it the long awaited day of the duel.
