Chapter 796: Chapter 786: How Do We Bet?
Melody Thorne walked over, and the man just happened to look up.
"Uncle Quinn!" Melody Thorne exclaimed in shock.
How could it be Quinn’s father? She recognized him from photos, though he looked much older now, his features were unmistakably the same.
"Who are you?" the middle-aged man’s voice was hoarse, and when he saw the man coming in, his weathered face was filled with a complex, indescribable expression.
"I am the wife of Jared Quinn, Melody Thorne..."
"Enough with the nonsense," Jared Quinn grabbed her and pushed her behind him, his boot crushing the chain on the floor, "How is it? Have you been well here these years? You have someone serving your meals, might it even surpass your glorious days?"
"Jared Quinn, he’s your father," Melody Thorne screamed, the truth was just too hard to believe.
"No need to waste your efforts, I know I can’t go back," the middle-aged man sighed, "It was I who personally turned him into this. I hit him, scolded him, to make him the most qualified heir of the Quinn Corporation, I inhumanely locked him here. It’s all karma, my retribution!"
"Good that you know, from now on, enjoy yourself while I manage the Quinn Family you cared about so much!" Jared Quinn pulled Melody Thorne out of the dimly lit room.
"Jared Quinn, what have you gone through?" Melody Thorne had some idea why Elias Hale pushed Jared Quinn to a breakdown; he seemed to be hiding many secrets.
"You want to know?" Jared Quinn sneered, pulling her into a surveillance room where footage from long ago continued to play.
Melody Thorne saw a young Jared Quinn being trained and the scars left on his body by his father.
Was this why he was traumatized?
Impossible, wasn’t it said that the Quinns have had such afflictions for generations?
"Why did you bring me here?" Melody Thorne suddenly looked defensively at the man in front of her.
Jared Quinn curled his lips wickedly, and a chain locked her wrist, "I brought you here, of course to keep you here!"

The tall figure disappeared into the rundown villa.
Melody Thorne was left locked there.
Leon Rivers managed to rescue her, but the Quinn Corporation faced a huge problem. Contracts that were already set were tampered with by Jared Quinn, causing billions of shares and partnerships to vanish overnight, and the sabotage had only just begun.
"He’s actually going to destroy the Quinn Corporation," Leon Rivers stared at the computer, "No way, if this continues, by the time Quinn wakes up, the Quinn Corporation will be ruined by this guy!
"Elias Hale, didn’t you consider that he might lose control after his breakdown?" Melody Thorne sneered, "You can’t stop him, so why push him to the brink?"
Elias Hale was covered in bruises from being beaten, "Why not make a bet, bet that even if Jared Quinn has no recognition of you now, he would still save you?"
"How do you want to bet?" Melody Thorne realized there’s no turning back!
"Simple."
Elias Hale had Leon Rivers send Melody Thorne back to the abandoned villa, which quickly went up in flames. He sent images of this to Jared Quinn, who was about to bring down the entire Quinn Corporation, letting him see with his own eyes that Melody Thorne was now in a sea of fire.
The fire quickly spread, and Leon Rivers was drenched in cold sweat; if something happened to Melody Thorne, Jared Quinn would kill him when he wakes up.
