Chapter 708: Chapter 708: Too Charming
Everyone who could know Melody Thorne’s whereabouts has blocked him, even the people he sent to protect her have all been replaced by Caleb’s men, even his own son has betrayed him.
He needs to rely on news from the internet just to know his woman’s whereabouts.
That little woman is much fiercer than him; she knows he would worry, worry to the point of sleeplessness, yet she still runs around everywhere with his son.
"Right now, there’s no solution; the cause of the illness is unknown, not like a little fever or cold. If possible, it would be best to gather the doctors who treated her previously. This would save time; otherwise, the observation period might go on indefinitely," Leon Rivers explains, as he is encountering this kind of situation for the first time himself.
"Send someone to find them," Jared Quinn rubs his temples, already on the verge of a nervous breakdown, driven mad by both the illness and that little woman.
"Okay."
"Boss!" Simon Sutton enters holding a small kid, whose face is full of frost as he looks discontentedly at Jared Quinn.
Simon Sutton sets him down opposite Jared Quinn and stands respectfully to the side.
"Dad, why are you looking for me?" Timmy raises his head, clearly reluctant.
"You’re having a great time, aren’t you?" Jared Quinn sneers coldly.
"Not too bad," Timmy responds matter-of-factly.
"Do you remember what you’re supposed to be doing there? If you fail to send back timely information, I’ll have the butler bring you back to the villa," Jared Quinn’s fingers drum on the table.
"You think you can threaten me like that?" Timmy mimics his father’s cold laugh. "If you dare hold me back, Melody will definitely make a fuss about divorce. I’ve already made my case to Melody Thorne, so once you guys divorce, she will be solely mine."
Leon Rivers sits nearby watching the two tiger’s clash, his mouth twitching. When he gets married and has kids, he’s definitely not having a son — this isn’t a son; it’s clearly a rival in love.
Thinking about having children reminds Leon Rivers naturally of Chloe Summers; the mere thought of their future children having Chloe Summers’ traits makes him eager to have one immediately.
But unfortunately, Chloe Summers is not easy to woo.
"What did you say?" Jared Quinn squints his eyes; this brat is getting bold, isn’t he?
"That’s as far as I go with nice words. If you dare have the butler bring me back, Melody will surely do so. After all, in her heart, I’m the most important. If you can’t protect her, let me do it!"
Timmy tosses out a domineering remark, shoulders his backpack, and gets ready to leave.
Suddenly, a large hand behind him lifts him up, surprisingly, his father is not angry, softly saying, "I’ll take you."
"If you want to see her, just say so, but don’t expect her to forgive you easily. She’s been taking me to eat gourmet food and have fun these past few days, without mentioning you at all. My charm is probably too great, so she must have forgotten about you."
"Shut up."
"It’s the truth, even if you want me to shut up."
The father and son argue as they go downstairs, neither giving the other face.
"Let me down, I’ll get in the car myself," Timmy struggles a bit.
Jared Quinn sets him down to the ground, takes out the car key, ready to unlock the door.
"Melody, don’t hide; I see you," Timmy suddenly points to a small path and speaks.
Jared Quinn halts his actions and strides over quickly.
A red car drives past him from behind, Timmy jumps onto the car with his backpack, shouting to the tall figure, "Daddy, goodbye~."
