Chapter 688: Chapter 688: What Exactly Have You Done?

"Timmy?" Melody Thorne walked in and found the little guy in a corner of the room, with a robot in his hands that he was almost done taking apart. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

He could clearly categorize all the wires.

"Melody, I have a secret to tell you," Timmy leaned in sneakily, pointing to the balcony above, "I discovered recently that Grandma is always secretly making phone calls. I don’t know what she’s talking about."

Timmy’s mischievous expression made Melody Thorne want to laugh. She ruffled his hair, "Yes, but when adults are talking, children shouldn’t listen."

"I know," Timmy continued to fiddle with the thing in his hands.

Melody Thorne recalled that she needed to find Mrs. Quinn and headed upstairs, not finding any sign of Mrs. Quinn on the entire balcony.

"Mom," Melody Thorne walked up and heard voices coming from the glass room on the balcony.

"What?" Mrs. Quinn intentionally lowered her voice, "Are you saying now? Wendy Lynch, I’m telling you, don’t push it. No matter what, she’s still my daughter-in-law, and she’s carrying my grandchild. If you dare threaten me, I’ll take you down with me!"

"Auntie, how would I dare threaten you? Of course, if you don’t do it, just pretend I didn’t say anything. But the scandalous things you did back then, and the recording of you drugging Harold, are all with me. Are you sure you want to do this? Who knows, I might also be carrying your grandchild."

"Wendy Lynch, you shameless thing," Mrs. Quinn cursed out loud.

"Shameless? Why would I need shame? I’ve already cut ties with the Lynch family. You’d better hurry up and settle Melody Thorne, let me into the Quinn Family, or you’ll be the one carrying the shame. I’ll make sure everyone knows what you’ve done!"

"Wendy Lynch!" Mrs. Quinn was furious, "You said this was the only thing I had to help you with."

"Yes, I did say that. I’m saying now this is the last thing I’m asking you to do. After this, we won’t have any ties!"

"Wendy Lynch!"

"I’m giving you three days to show results, or it won’t be her ruined, but you."

The sound of beeping came from the phone. Mrs. Quinn turned pale, all color drained from her face. She turned around to leave the glass room, suddenly spotting Melody Thorne standing behind her.

Melody Thorne always felt something was wrong but never suspected Mrs. Quinn. Thinking of what she just heard, she turned and ran downstairs.

"Melody, Melody Thorne, don’t run, let Mom explain," Mrs. Quinn was shocked, her first instinct was not to let her son know, and she chased after her in a panic.

"Melody, Melody!"

Timmy saw Melody Thorne running downstairs in a panic and then saw his grandma chasing after her. Thinking Mrs. Quinn was going to deal with her, he immediately stood up and hugged Mrs. Quinn’s leg, "Grandma, Grandma, calm down. If there’s anything, just tell me."

"Timmy, move aside, move aside. Grandma has something urgent," Mrs. Quinn frantically watched Melody Thorne run downstairs.

Several men in the hall immediately looked over upon hearing the commotion.

"Ah—" Melody Thorne suddenly slipped in her slippers and fell down the stairs.

"Sis-in-law!"

"Sis-in-law!"

Leon Rivers and Harold Chapman exclaimed out.

An arm swiftly wrapped around Melody Thorne’s waist and pulled her into a strong embrace, a voice laced with panic and anger, "Why were you running so fast?"
