Chapter 1353: Chapter 1351: Brothers
"Not going to fight?" Yang Chen asked coldly when he saw the two men not making a move.
The two men stood stiffly, motionless.
Yang Chen looked at Night Fire and asked, "Did he offend you?"
"Report! No!"
Yang Chen asked Gao Hong again, "Did he do something to wrong you?"
"Report! No!"
"Then I don’t understand," Yang Chen said, "If you’re not enemies and he hasn’t offended you, why fight? And with such a vicious demeanor?"
The two men remained silent.
"With that being the case, I suspect you’re not being truthful; there must be some hidden conflict," Yang Chen said.
Yang Chen thought for a moment and said, "Let’s do this; I’ll help you resolve your conflict, alright?"
The two did not respond.
"I’ll take your silence as agreement," Yang Chen said.
"Night Fire!"
"Present!"
"Raise your right hand!"
Night Fire obeyed and raised his right hand high.
"Now, I order you to slap him hard, as hard as you can, release all your anger and resentment, turn them into power, and hit him fiercely!" Yang Chen commanded coldly.
Night Fire widened his eyes, unable to lower his raised hand.
"What’s wrong?" Yang Chen looked at him, "Is my order useless now?"
Night Fire was in agony and conflict.
Yang Chen snorted coldly and shouted angrily, "Do it!"
Night Fire still couldn’t bring himself to do it.
Yang Chen stepped forward and grabbed Night Fire’s hand, forcefully slapping Gao Hong’s face.
"Slap!"
A crisp sound echoed.
Gao Hong staggered backward, then forced himself to stop and returned to his original position.
Yang Chen nodded, ignoring Night Fire’s agony, and said to Gao Hong, "He just hit you; now it’s your turn to fight back, hit back twice as hard!"
Blood appeared at the corner of Gao Hong’s mouth, but he still didn’t make a move.
Yang Chen snorted coldly, "Why not fight now? Wasn’t it intense just a moment ago?"
Gao Hong lowered his head.
"Raise your hand!" Yang Chen shouted angrily.
Gao Hong didn’t move.
Yang Chen stepped forward and grabbed Gao Hong’s hand.
Gao Hong immediately struggled and shouted, "I was wrong! I’m sorry! I was wrong!"
Looking at Gao Hong crying in pain, Yang Chen coldly asked, "Wrong? How exactly? I don’t think you were wrong!"
"No! It’s all my fault!" Gao Hong collapsed to the ground, crying, "It’s my fault for not understanding you all, for thinking you didn’t help me revenge, leading to my imprisonment! It’s all because of you that my family got hurt! You never helped me avenge, and so I’ve always held a grudge in my heart! It’s my mistake, blinded by hatred!"
Yang Chen looked at Night Fire, "Is that true?"
Night Fire spoke hoarsely, "No! I said he was impulsive! Everything could’ve been resolved together, but it cost him his future. That’s why he got angry because of what I said."
Yang Chen walked up to Night Fire, stared at him and coldly said, "Tell me, what did you do after he left!"
Night Fire took a deep breath and said loudly, "Report, sir! We tracked the Vipers, constantly eradicating them, killed them on sight! Investigated on hearing, exterminated on confirmation!"
Yang Chen nodded and looked at Gao Hong, "Those people you killed, are you sure they attacked your family? Are you sure they were the masterminds?"
Gao Hong lowered his head.
"I told you the data back then, told you what we did after you left. If you think it’s false, if you think I lied to you, you can leave now! No matter if you cause a storm outside, I won’t care!" Yang Chen said coldly.
"I was wrong!" Gao Hong took a deep breath, climbed up from the ground, stood in front of Yang Chen, and tore off his coat, "From now on, I won’t mention this again! But if there’s news about the Vipers, count me in!"
After speaking, Gao Hong turned around, half-kneeling on the ground, exposing his back to Yang Chen.
Yang Chen reached out his hand.
Night Fire immediately pulled out the belt and handed it to Yang Chen.
Yang Chen glanced at Chen Siyan standing aside and said coldly, "Go back!"
"Brother..."
"Go back!"
Chen Siyan gave Yang Chen a fearful look and glanced at the belt in his hand before stomping her foot and running inside, closing the door.
After Chen Siyan left, Yang Chen gazed at Gao Hong and took a deep breath, "Knowing you’re wrong, you must accept punishment! Only then will you remember this lesson!"
Yang Chen then looked at Night Fire.
Night Fire also stripped off his coat, half-kneeling with Gao Hong.
Yang Chen coldly said, "Striking your brother is a big mistake! Neither of you will escape!"
Yang Chen swung the belt like a whip, fiercely hitting the two.
"Slap!"
A blood mark immediately appeared on their backs!

Yang Chen swung, landing a slap on Gao Hong.
Gao Hong shivered all over but didn’t make a sound.

After saying, Yang Chen tossed the belt to Night Fire, turned, and went back inside.
Once inside, Yang Chen saw Chen Siyan looking at him differently.
Yang Chen simply said, "This is how I manage my people; mistakes require punishment!"
He didn’t expect Chen Siyan to understand or try to explain further.
Chen Siyan nodded weakly, still seeming somewhat afraid of Yang Chen.
It was the first time she’d seen Yang Chen this fierce, especially towards his friends.
Still, Chen Siyan brought tea to Yang Chen, "Brother, have tea!"
"Hmm!" Yang Chen nodded, glancing outside as the two helped each other inside, displaying a hint of relief.
