The night outside was calm, but Kent’s mind was anything but. Nima you play with Auri and Lumo. I needed some rest and I wanted to take a bath.

Inside Kent’s room, He leaned against the wooden wall, staring at the Ruin Core he had obtained from Graveyard Mountain’s ruins. It pulsed with a faint golden glow, a mystical presence radiating from within.

But the real problem?

The system was offline.

Kent had tried everything—calling up the shop, attempting to use the lottery, even checking his status panel—but nothing worked.

The only functions that were still available were his storage space and SP collection—no crafting reward. No upgrades. No new abilities. He hadn’t received anything yet for completing the mission of collecting the Ruin core.

He exhaled sharply. "Just great."

For now, he had to figure out what this Ruin Core was. What types of artifacts is it and how it could help him?

Kent sat cross-legged on his bed, holding the core in his hands. He focused his spiritual energy on it, hoping to activate something—anything.

At first, nothing happened.

Then—

FWOOSH!

A wave of ancient energy surged out of the core, engulfing Kent’s entire body. His vision went black. Suddenly, he was no longer in his house. Instead, he stood in a vast, empty space, surrounded by golden floating symbols.

Ding!

A voice echoed in his mind.

[Ruin Core Detected. Beginning Synchronization…]

Kent’s heart pounded. "Wait—who’s talking?"

[System Connection Unavailable. Entering Manual Override.]

[Analyzing Host’s Spiritual Energy…]

Kent felt a rush of warmth course through him.

A new screen appeared in his mind.

[Ruin Core Analysis]Item: Ruin Core (Ancient Relic)

State: Active

Primary Function: Unknown

Secondary Function: Energy Stabilization

Synchronization Progress: 5% ,10%, 20%...50%

Kent clenched his fists. So this thing wasn’t just a treasure—it was an ancient relic with a deeper purpose.

And more importantly— It is somehow connecting to him.

The golden symbols began to shift, merging into a figure—an old man in a flowing robe, his body shimmering like mist.

"You… are the first to awaken me in over a thousand years," the figure spoke. Kent narrowed his eyes. "Who the hell are you?"

The man chuckled. "I am merely a fragment of consciousness within this Ruin Core. A record of history, if you will." I will vanish soon.

Kent’s mind raced. "Then tell me—what is this thing? Why did it react to me?"

The figure lifted his hand, and images flashed before Kent’s eyes.

Massive ruins. Towers stretching into the heavens. Ancient cultivators wielding forbidden powers.

Then, a scene of war—a battle so devastating that the land itself was shattered, leaving behind nothing but remnants of a forgotten era.

"The Ruin Core was once the heart of an empire. It holds the knowledge of lost civilizations… and the key to unlocking powers."

I will give you all the knowledge I have, get ready for that young man. The old man says, after giving you all the knowledge I will disappear. I hope one day you will be able to uncover the truth of that ancient battle.

Kent’s full body started to glow, he could now see the full battle. Thousands of people are fighting each other in a fight to the death. Suddenly a mysterious immortal waves his hands and the space cracks.

From that broken space a piece of void fell into earth. The old man who came out of the Ruin core and all the ancient cultivators get sucked into the void fragment space including an area of the earth itself. Inside the void fragment, a battle lasts for months.

When the earth’s cultivation is winning, the mysterious immortal gets angry. His servants were losing. We again make a move killing everyone including his servant.

I DON’T NEED USELESS SERVANT. YOU ALL SHOULD DIE HERE FOR YOUR FAILURE.

The mystery immortal locked the entire galaxy, and no spiritual energy will be able to enter here, saying from now on this galaxy will be known as wasteland. No one can cultivate here. How dare you defeat my servant. After that, the vision ended.

Kent is back in his room. The old man disappeared into spiritual energy in front of Kent’s eyes. What was that fight? What am I supposed to do with this memory? What is the truth of that battle? What the Hell!! The old man disappeared without saying anything.

A few seconds later, Does it mean the void fragment I refined with system help is the same as the vision? Let me check the core again. He focused his mind, channelling his energy into the Ruin Core.

FWOOSH!

A sudden shockwave erupted, engulfing him in darkness.

Kent found himself floating in a vast empty space, pitch black, endless, and silent.

Ding!

A faint notification flickered in his mind, like an echo from the system’s fading voice.

...60%... 70%.... 90%..... 100%

[Congratulations! The Ruin Core has merged with the host’s soul and the Void fragment. A VOID Domain has been created.]

Kent’s breath hitched. "Void Domain?"

He looked down and saw… nothing.

No ground. No sky. Just darkness stretching infinitely.

His spiritual sense extended outward, mapping the space. It was massive, yet completely… lifeless.

Kent clenched his fists. "So, I have a personal space, but it’s just an empty wasteland?" This space is as big as the graveyard mountains Ruin. So inside the core was this entire place. That’s why the ruin disappears when I touch the core. Now it has become my Void Domain.

Suddenly—

Foll𝑜w current novℯls on ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm.

FWOOM!

The Ruin Core pulsed, and a flat, barren land materialized beneath his feet. The darkness receded slightly, revealing a dull, grey terrain.

Kent stomped the ground. Solid. But lifeless.

No water. No sunlight. No trees.

Just an empty land floating in the void.

His heart sank. "What the hell am I supposed to do with this?" This looks like Asgard floating in space without any life.

Then, an idea struck him. I can try too create a farm here with my new Skill. Maybe one day I can even put animals and people and other living things.

Kent activated SSS-Rank Architect of Creation and reached into his storage, pulling out a handful of regular soil he had collected from the ruins.

He sprinkled it over the ground.

Nothing happened.

"Damn it."

He pulled out spiritual seeds from his loot, planting them in the soil.

Still nothing.

Kent frowned. "I need light. And water." without light and water into just a floating rock.

But how the hell was he supposed to make light inside a void?

Kent crossed his arms, thinking. "If this is my personal dimension… maybe I can make a sun?"

He gathered spiritual energy in his hands and tried compressing hellfire energy into a sphere.

A small flame appeared, flickering weakly.

Kent pushed more energy into it, forcing it to grow.

It expanded—then shrank and died. Kent sighed. "Of course it doesn’t work." I need the system’s help. When will my system come back?

Let’s try creating a water puddle. Next, he pulled out a water flask and poured some onto the ground.

The moment it touched the dirt—

FSSSSHHH!

It evaporated instantly, vanishing into the void.

"Great," Kent muttered. "No water either. Guess I have to make that too."

Kent stood in the middle of his brand-new Void Domain, hands on his hips, surveying the vast, lifeless wasteland.

"This… is absolute garbage."

The so-called personal dimension he just got was nothing but a dark, barren desert. No trees, no water, no sky—just an endless stretch of useless dirt and rocks floating in a void.

Kent bent down, grabbed a handful of the dry, lifeless soil, and let it crumble between his fingers.

"...Yeah, this is definitely worse than my backyard."

Since planting seeds and making a utopia was out of the question, Kent decided on a much simpler use for his new space.

Storage.

He began tossing everything he could find into the Void Domain.

Weapons? Into the void.

Spiritual herbs? Into the void.

A chair from his room? Into the void.

Nima’s emergency snack box? …Wait, no. That would be suicidal.

After ten minutes, his house was significantly emptier, and the Void Domain was significantly messier. Kent clapped his hands together, proud of his work.

"Perfect. Now I have a massive storage space for all my loot." There was just one problem.

The Void Domain had no organization. Everything was just floating around in a chaotic mess.

His swords were bumping into each other. His seeds were spinning in midair. And somehow, his clothes were drifting away like ghosts in a horror movie.

"Yeah, okay. I need to fix this later." Maybe I can try creating a house here. For now, he closed the Void Domain and headed outside.

Kent found Nima sitting on the porch, happily munching on a plate of fried dumplings with Auri and Lumo.

She glared at him suspiciously as he approached. "What do you want?" I don’t have enough food. Auri and Lumo eat a lot. I only have two dumplings left. I can only give you a bite.
