Chapter 86: Two Daughters-in-Law

It’s filled with countless demonic beasts and unknown creatures — all of them terrifyingly powerful."

"It’s so dangerous that even powerful races like the Dragons and Phoenixes don’t dare to visit it without proper preparation and the supervision of their powerhouses.

It’s also known as the ’Land of Death’. The secret realm opens there every ten years, making it a natural neutral ground for all races. The constant danger keeps everyone on guard, preventing them from fighting among themselves while inside."

Theodore looked at Nova with a serious yet encouraging expression. "Now that it’s all clear... I strongly suggest you participate, Nova. You have everything you need — talent, courage, and power.

I’m sure you’ll reach the Grandmaster Realm within these three years."

Nova nodded with a smile. "Now that I’ve heard so much about it especially the rewards — I’ll definitely participate."

"Good," Theodore said with a satisfied smile. He continued, "I still don’t know many details about the secret realm myself, so when you visit the capital, you should ask some experts about it."

Nova understood and replied, "I’ll do that."

Theodore then said, "Since our business here is done, I’ll return to my duties. Your parents should be back by evening with all your belongings."

With that, Theodore and Rodrick left the training grounds, leaving Nova and Asia alone.

"Sigh..." Nova stretched his body and asked with a grin, "So, are you happy now?"

Asia looked at him, a bright smile blooming on her face. "Yes, very. I didn’t know when I said we should tell my father about our relationship that you would literally do it the very next moment."

Nova laughed lightly. "Yeah, well... why wait for him to find out from someone else? Even if we were cautious, he might have heard rumors. And I don’t like anyone questioning my relationship with the people I care about."

"So it was the perfect chance. And lucky me — I got such a nice and understanding father-in-law."

Asia blushed deeply. She wanted to say something, but Nova understood. He pulled her close by her soft waist, kissed her on the lips, and said,

"Now nobody can question our relationship. And don’t worry about my family. I’m sure they won’t have any objections. In fact, they’ll be thrilled — especially my mother."

Time passed peacefully. Nova spent the rest of the day with Asia, enjoying her company and exploring parts of the city together. Later, they went to meet Rieka. The three of them then headed toward Nova’s new house, located in the eastern area of Frostholme.

By the time they arrived, it was already evening. Nova had chosen not to use any of his skills or abilities during the walk — he wanted to savor the simple joy of spending quality time with his women, walking side by side, talking, and laughing together under the warm glow of the setting sun.

When they reached the designated area, they saw a grand and luxurious mansion. It was at least twice the size of Nova’s old house, with elegant architecture, tall pillars, and beautiful arched windows.

A spacious garden surrounded the property, filled with colorful flowers, neatly trimmed hedges, and a small fountain that added a soothing charm to the place.

Nova spotted his parents at the entrance gate. Several knights were helping unload their belongings from the carriages and carrying them inside. His mother stood watching the house with a soft, content smile on her face.

This sight filled Nova with deep happiness. Nothing brought him more joy than seeing his mother smile. He made a silent promise to himself — one day, he would build something even greater for her and his father, something that would bring them even more joy and pride.

As a boy who had never had parents in his previous life, Nova never truly knew what it felt like to make his parents happy or what it meant to see genuine smiles on their faces. A child feels proud and satisfied when they see their parents’ faces filled with real happiness.

Although Nova still hadn’t done anything he could truly be proud of for them, he knew he would soon. For now, simply seeing his parents happy was enough to fill his heart with contentment.

While Nova was busy watching his mother’s happy face and making silent promises to himself, Asia finished telling Rieka the full story — how Nova had defeated her father in the spar and made him agree to let her be with him.

Rieka was surprised, but not overly so. Even though they hadn’t been together for very long, she already understood Nova’s personality well. Her bloodline had helped her sense his true nature from their very first meeting.

She had seen his courage and determination to protect her in the dungeon, and later witnessed his deep love and passion. That was more than enough to make even someone like her — who once hated humans to her core — fall for him.

She could easily imagine how Nova had handled Theodore. He was a proud man who valued his relationships above all else and would do anything for the people he loved. So he had made the decision quickly to put Asia at ease by winning her father’s approval.

Still, she was a little surprised by Asia. Though she knew the girl was in love with Nova, she hadn’t expected her to make up her mind so quickly. Rieka couldn’t help but ask curiously,

"Did you do it?"

Understanding her meaning, Asia’s face turned bright red. She shook her head in embarrassment and replied shyly, "...No, not yet."

"Hmm? Why?" Rieka asked.

"I have an important reason... I’ll tell you later since it would take some time to explain," Asia said. She then glanced toward Nova. "Look, Nova is going to help. Let’s go join him too."

Nova walked over to the carriage where his father was standing. "Father, let me help you guys."

"Oh, you’re here..." Edward said with surprise as he saw Nova approaching. Behind him were Rieka and Asia.

"Greetings, Lady Asia," Edward said respectfully, since she was the Duke’s daughter.

Asia got flustered and quickly replied, "Oh... you don’t have to do that."

"Of course he would. You’re the Duke’s daughter," Jenna said with a warm smile as she walked over to them.

Nova noticed the awkward expression on Asia’s face while Rieka was smiling. He chuckled lightly and said, "Well, of course she feels awkward when her father-in-law greets her with so much respect."

"..."

"..."

Edward and Jenna both had strange expressions on their faces. Jenna asked, "What do you mean by that, son?"

Nova was even more amused by their reactions. "It’s exactly what you think. She is my lover too... and she will be my wife as well. Duke Theodore is going to be your in-law. Hahaha."

"..."

"..."

Jenna and Edward looked at each other. Jenna, who could get overly excited as she had been during their first meeting with Rieka, could hardly believe her ears. Her baby had brought home yet another woman — and this time, she was the Duke’s daughter.

Edward, who had some prior knowledge, wasn’t as shocked. He asked, "Did Lord Frost agree to it?"

"Yes, Uncle Edward... my father agreed," Asia answered with a deep blush. Rieka couldn’t help but shake her head slightly, seeing how flustered she was.

Unlike Rieka, who was straightforward and bold, Asia had a naturally shy personality — something she only seemed to show after meeting Nova. She used to always wear a cold expression in front of others.

"So... does this mean I’ll be having two daughters-in-law?" Jenna asked, her eyes sparkling.

"Yes, my dear mother," Nova replied with a tender smile.

Jenna couldn’t contain her excitement. "Ohh..Come here, you two!"

She pulled both Rieka and Asia into a warm, motherly hug. Rieka, already familiar with Jenna’s affectionate nature, happily accepted it. Asia, on the other hand, became even more flustered.

Nova watched the heartwarming scene with a big, genuine smile on his face.

"Let’s take this inside, all of you," Edward said warmly, watching his beautiful wife hug both of her daughters-in-law with such pure joy. He shook his head with a fond smile — his wife was too adorable sometimes.

Everyone agreed with happy nods. Together, they stepped through the grand entrance of their new home — the place where they would now they their life together in Frostholme.

Of course, Asia and Rieka wouldn’t be living at Nova’s house just yet. Instead, they would stay in their own home for the next three years.
