Chapter 78: Wink of Approval
"As I’ve already said no, unless the woman is bad. I won’t let any bitch enter his life," Rieka replied with firm determination.
Asia stared at her in silence. Just then, both of them heard a familiar voice from the doorway.
"What are you girls talking about?"
Suddenly, Nova appeared through the large open window into Asia’s room. He saw both girls sitting comfortably, chatting and sipping tea like close friends. It was a rare and heartwarming sight to see Rieka so relaxed with a human.
When did these two become such good friends? Nova thought. The last time he checked, they were still in the early stages of getting to know each other.
This was one of the reasons he had left Rieka with Asia so they could bond. It seemed his plan had worked perfectly.

Liya teased him, but Nova didn’t respond. She could read his mind anyway.
"It’s nothing. We were just having girl’s talk. It shouldn’t concern you," Asia said with a playful grin.
"Is that so..." Nova glanced at Rieka, who simply nodded with a smile. He didn’t press the matter.
Rieka stood up and walked over to him. Her cute fox ears twitched excitedly as her tail swayed behind her. She looked at him with loving eyes, then leaned in and pressed her lips against his.
The kiss quickly grew passionate she slipped her tongue into his mouth, kissing him possessively.
Nova was surprised for a second but soon melted into it, enjoying the heated tongue battle.
After a long minute, she pulled back. A thin bridge of saliva connected their lips. Rieka gazed into his eyes and said softly,
"Darling... I need to leave now. Grandpa must be worried. You’re staying here tonight. Although Duke Frost invited me to stay, I have to take care of a few matters for Grandpa. He must be having a hard time without me."
Nova smiled gently. "If that’s what you want, go ahead."
Rieka turned back and saw Asia staring at them, her face completely red and flustered from their intense kiss. Rieka gave her a meaningful wink and a smile — a clear signal.
Nova caught the silent exchange between them and smiled inwardly. He looked at Rieka with deep adoration, thinking how incredibly lucky he was to have such a cute, beautiful, and understanding wife in his life.
After Rieka left the room, only Nova and Asia remained. Asia was still a little flustered, clearly understanding the meaning behind Rieka’s signal, but unsure what to do next.
Nova walked over and casually sat on the spot where Rieka had been. Rieka’s cup was empty, but Asia’s was still full. Without hesitation, he picked it up and drank the entire cup in one go.
"Hey... that was mine!" Asia exclaimed, speechless. Drinking from the same cup she had just used... that meant they had an indirect kiss. The thought made her cheeks burn red again.
Nova put the cup down with a playful smile he said."Calm down. I was thirsty and yours was the only full one. What’s the big deal?"
His handsome face looked even more charming than usual, which only flustered Asia further. "You... you—!"
Nova suddenly stood up with a serious expression. Asia’s heart jumped. She stood up too, stuttering, "W-What’s the matter?"
He didn’t reply. Instead, he walked slowly toward her. Instinctively, Asia retreated and started moving backwards until her back hit the wall behind her. She couldn’t go any further.
"W-Wait... don’t come any closer... stay away or I’ll kill you..." she warned, though her voice lacked conviction.
Nova ignored her words. His face remained serious as he placed one hand on the wall beside her head, leaning in closer. With no escape left, Asia closed her eyes tightly, waiting — half nervous, half excited.
She didn’t hate this. In fact, a part of her was looking forward to what he might do next... pinning her down, ravaging her...
But the kiss never came.
She slowly opened her eyes and saw Nova staring at her with a teasing smile. Her face turned crimson with embarrassment. She looked like a foolish, shy girl waiting for her first kiss.
"You evil guy....You’re so evil! You bullied me again!" she shouted, tears welling up in her eyes.
Nova pulled her into his embrace, gently holding her face so she would look at him. His voice was soft and adoring, the kind that could melt even a goddess in this situation ."Cheese... You’re such a tsundere and a crybaby."
He continued gently, "Your father’s butler is coming this way. If I acted now, he’d sense me doing this to you. I didn’t want to tease you again... I already learned my lesson this morning. I don’t want to see you cry."
Asia relaxed a little in his arms. She liked being held by him. She nodded shyly and pulled back just as a knock sounded at the door.
"Come in," Asia called, her voice composed once again.
Rodrick entered and bowed respectfully. "Lady Asia, Sir Nova — my lord and your parents are waiting for you at the dining table. Lady Rieka already left due to some urgent matters."
"We know. We’ll be there in a few minutes," Asia replied calmly, showing none of her earlier flustered state.
After Rodrick left, Nova smiled and whispered, "Wait for me tonight. I’ll visit you....Now go to the dining hall. I’ll be there shortly."
Asia didn’t say anything. She simply nodded, cheeks still faintly pink. Nova disappeared from the room in the next instant.

A short while later, everyone was gathered in the grand dining hall of the Duke’s mansion. The long table was elegantly set, and maids moved gracefully as they served an array of exquisite dishes.
Tender, juicy meats glazed in rich sauces sat beside vibrant, fresh salads drizzled with fragrant herbs and expensive oils. Crystal glasses filled with deep red wine sparkled under the chandelier light, completing the luxurious spread.
Edward, Jenna, and Nova sat on one side of the table. Asia sat across from them, while Duke Theodore occupied the head of the table. The food was served and still steaming, but everyone waited politely for one more person.
Asia finally couldn’t hold back. "Father, who exactly are we waiting for?"
Theodore gave an awkward smile at his daughter’s slightly sarcastic tone. "He’ll be here any moment now, my dear."
Edward and Jenna exchanged curious glances, clearly nervous about dining with a Duke and wondering who could be important enough for Theodore to wait.
A few seconds later, Daniel entered the dining hall with his usual arrogant swagger. "I hope I didn’t keep you all waiting too long," he said, not bothering to greet anyone properly.
His eyes immediately landed on Asia, and he hurried toward the seat beside her. Both Asia and Nova looked visibly annoyed.
This fucker...Just as Daniel pulled out the chair and was about to sit, Nova used Voidborne Telekinesis to yank it backward. Daniel lost his balance and fell hard on his butt.
"Uaghhhh!"
Though his level prevented any real injury, the fall was humiliating. His round belly made him lose balance even more, causing him to roll slightly on the floor. Theodore quickly signaled, and several maids rushed over to help him up.
The maids were trying their hardest not to laugh, their shoulders shaking slightly as they helped Daniel back to his feet. His clothes were disheveled, and he quickly tried to straighten them with an awkward smile.
"Sorry for the shameful display, everyone," he muttered.
He tried to sit down again. This time, Nova let him. Everyone began eating, including Nova. But the moment Daniel put a piece of juicy meat into his mouth—
CRACK!
Nova used Voidborne Telekinesis once more. The chair specially reinforced to support even very heavy people — broke beneath Daniel, sending him crashing down onto his butt again.
This time, the wine and greasy meat spilled all over his face and expensive clothes.
Everyone at the table, including Theodore, sighed in unison.
Asia didn’t even bother looking at him. Theodore signaled the maids again, who rushed over to help the young master.
Daniel’s face burned with humiliation. "I’ll... have dinner in my room," he said stiffly before storming out.
Nova watched him leave with a cold smile and thought to himself, This is only the beginning of your horror, you fat pig..After I’m done with you, you’ll never be able to look at Asia with those filthy eyes of yours again...or even think about her.
