"Yes, what’s happening to me? I’ve never felt like this before."
The doctor handed her some test forms, "First, let’s do some tests!"
Ye Lu, full of confusion, followed the doctor’s instructions and went for the tests.
When she brought back the test results for the doctor, he adjusted his glasses, raised his head with a serious look and told her, "You’re pregnant!"
The words hit like a thunderbolt, leaving Ye Lu pale-faced and rigid with shock.
"Congratulations, sir, your wife is pregnant." The doctor extended his hand towards Hua Lunxi.
Hua Lunxi appeared awkward: "I’m her friend."
The doctor, gobsmacked, also coughed awkwardly: "In any case, congratulations to the lady."
Ye Lu’s lips turned white as paper, and she stumbled back into her chair.
Inside, she felt nothing but surprise, unease, helplessness, and utter chaos.
"Doctor, are you sure? I can’t be pregnant!"
The doctor’s eyes widened instantly: "Miss, you can distrust my medical skills, but you shouldn’t question the results of modern lab technology. You’re not even exhibiting pseudocyesis."
"But I... I’ve taken the pill every time, how is this possible?" She asked, her words rushed and her expression in a panic. She’d been scared of getting pregnant, as Third Young Master Jun never used contraceptives.
She’s no ignorant girl, she knew how to prevent pregnancy.
"Are you sure you took it within 72 hours every time?"
Ye Lu’s face changed. She was not sure. Every time, Third Young Master Jun would forcibly confine her, sometimes she couldn’t leave the villa for days.
She’d always taken the pill afterwards with a hopeful heart, but now, it seems she may have missed the effective window, leading to her getting pregnant.
"I’m really pregnant." She covered her face, trembling, feeling lost and afraid.
She was carrying Third Young Master Jun’s child. My God, this could drive a person mad.
