Chapter 418: Chapter 418: Registering Marriage_1
Ye Lu was planning to try on wedding dresses today and then go with Gu Yan for registration.
Because Gu Yan feared that Jun Huang might create a disturbance at the wedding, he planned to get registered before the ceremony, so that things would be set in stone, thwarting any potential meddling.
However, she was always worried, thinking about those two unfortunate children who were unable to acknowledge their father. Gu Yan did not genuinely like them. Even after much distress, in the end, she couldn’t help but seek out Jun Huang.
"Why should I marry her? If she has to blame someone, blame it on her rotten luck to cross paths with Gu Yan and became a tool in my hands", replied ThirdYoung Master Jun coldly and indifferently without even looking back.
Mrs.Gu looked at him in disbelief, "Don’t you think you are being too heartless? She is innocent."
"I have always been this cruel. I inherited that from you and my father. Double the heartlessness, naturally makes it even more heartless. What, did you expect me to be humane?" he replied.
Mrs.Gu was shocked as she stared at his contemptuous face, not knowing what to say.
Yet, she still held a line of hope.
"Do you still love Ye Lu?" she asked.
"I don’t!", ThirdYoung Master Jun left without turning back.
Mrs.Gu was left alone in the room, standing stiffly with a bitter smile on her face, it seemed that all hope was lost.
A sports car was recklessly speeding on the road.
The other vehicle drivers were frightened, and moved away, feeling as if they had come across the grim reaper. They had never seen someone who would risk their life in a street race.
Finally, he came to an abrupt halt on a road, causing a driver stuck behind him to become furious, jump out of his car, ready to smash his car window.
"So, you think you can show off just because you own a sports car. Today I will teach you a lesson you arrogant rich brat!." The robust driver rolled up his sleeves, charging in anger.
The car window rolled down, revealing a face that was frightfully cold and bone-chilling. His entire demeanor exuded a wild, chilly aura, reminiscent of a bloodthirsty Asura.
"Looking for death!" His voice was like a razor, cutting through skin.
Those blood-red, cruel eyes made the strong driver’s heart quiver in fear.
This man was terrifying. He felt that one more word and he’d be killed.
The smart ones are always the quickest to read the room, so without wasting another word, he ran off.
ThirdYoung Master Jun emotionlessly responded to a call on his ringing phone, it was Feiyu at the other end.
"Third Young Master, we just received reliable information that Ye Lu and Gu Yan are going to get married in a private ceremony today."
"Hahaha!"
Third Young Master Jun’s bloodthirsty eyes were cruel and sinister. He had been hurt by his mother and father today, his heart filled with an uncontrollable rage.
"Great! This is the perfect opportunity for revenge!"
...
Early in the morning, Ye Lu was taken by the housekeeper to the city’s most high-end wedding dress salon.
The wedding date was rushed and there was not enough time to have a custom-made wedding dress, but Gu Yan had still arranged to have a few top designer dresses sent from Europe for Ye Lu to choose from.
So, today she came to try them on, to find out which one she preferred to wear on her wedding day.
A bunch of attendants came forward to assist her, congratulations echoing in her ears. She kept nodding and smiling, but she felt tired from all the well-wishing.
She asked all but one of the attendants to leave. The room immediately became much quieter.
The saleswoman carefully helped her to arrange and try on the beautiful dresses one after another.
After trying a few on, all of them fit perfectly and looked magnificent and noble. Ye Lu started to feel tired.
The saleswoman brought her tea: "I rarely see brides like you, Miss Ye. Usually, girls are full of excitement when they come to try on wedding dresses. They try on countless dresses and often have a hard time deciding."
Ye Lu gave an awkward smile in response. To be honest, she didn’t care which one she picked, it didn’t matter to her.
