"Jingchen, see? All I asked was for her to kneel and apologize. I won’t even pursue legal action, but she’s the one refusing. I would like to put this behind us for your sake, but she’s been too ruthless. I will sue her, have her stand trial, and be imprisoned," Jiayin demanded.
Shang Jingchen’s expression changed. He may have despised Ye Lu for his humiliation and her illegitimate children, but he never wanted her in jail.
"If you’re so brave, go ahead and sue. I would like to see who ends up behind bars," said Ye Lu, smirking. Jiayin’s pregnancy was a lie. Would she dare to escalate this issue? Once investigation begins, her deceit will be exposed.
"Enough, Ye Lu, shut your mouth," Shang Jingchen angrily ordered. "Apologize to Jiayin now."
Ye Lu was stunned, her voice shaking with disbelief: "You want me to kneel and ask her for forgiveness?"
"Yes." A simple apology would save her from jail and satisfy Jiayin. It seemed to be the best course of action.
"Hahaha..." Ye Lu laughed coldly, "Shang Jingchen, you’re actually telling your wife to kneel before a woman who has done her wrong again and again? You disgust me. I’ll see you in court."
"Have you gone mad?" Shang Jingchen seethed as he gripped her hand tighter. "Look at the media here. Is your plan to cause havoc? What good does that bring for you? You’ve harmed her child, all she’s asking is for an apology. Don’t push your luck. Kneel."
"No way!" Ye Lu was livid.
