Chapter 1651: Chapter 1651: Trouble Comes Unbidden

Getting lost and finding a police officer is a universal rule on Earth, but she wouldn’t dare use it here.

If she finds a police officer for help, the officer would see she’s undocumented and probably send her straight to jail.

So, she couldn’t rely on others to help her return. She could only think of a way herself to make some money and catch a bus back.

However, without an ID, there’s no way she could do short-term work at a store to earn the bus fare.

In this desperate situation, Yiyi wasn’t worried at all. She stroked her chin, a sly smile at her lips, her eyes shimmering—seems like she’d have to pull off some tricks.

Don’t think Yiyi was about to commit robbery, though she was quite tempted by the thrill of such an act.

But everyone in Yalan Country was poor, so that kind of action was beneath her.

So, she wandered and wandered until she reached a square. Quite a few citizens were here, either sunbathing or feeding the pigeons.

In the center of the square was a student band, performing. One was playing the bass with passion, the lead singer singing with heartache, while the drummer seemed to be having a seizure.

Though they put in so much effort, their playing was painfully bad, and passersby covered their ears and fled in agony, leaving only a pitiful few coins in the open instrument case before the band.

Yiyi really sympathized with the passersby; this was less of a rock band and more of a noise source.

But hey, her chance to make money had arrived.

She leisurely strolled up and slapped the back of the lead singer’s guitar. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"Want to make big money?"

Half an hour later, the square that people originally avoided was now crowded with citizens.

They listened, entranced, to the melodious, beautiful music with faces full of amazement and astonishment, discussing who this beautiful girl playing the guitar was, exactly which newly debuted musician.

The music she played was extraordinarily powerful, including pieces as beautiful as heavenly music, and also passionately stirring, as if challenging fate.

Every piece had its own style, and they were all stunningly fantastic, soul-stirring, like a sky full of fireworks. The key was, they had never heard these on the popular music charts before, leading to endless exclamations.

Money was constantly tossed into the case before the band, quickly filling it up.

The students were dumbfounded, nearly crying with excitement, looking at Yiyi with faces full of admiration, this mysterious girl who had just appeared arrogantly, claiming she could help them earn big money, but she wanted half.

Though initially skeptical, since nobody listened to their original music anyway, they let her try.

And as a result, the music she played was on a level so high they couldn’t even fathom it. Given their musical instincts, this was definitely a masterpiece, naturally attracting a huge crowd, successfully making them earn pocketfuls.

Yiyi, seeing so many people immersed in her music, felt a bit proud. Hell, if playing classics from top masters like Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart couldn’t make money, then she’d be too embarrassed to face anyone.

Originally, Yiyi just wanted to earn a bit for the bus fare home, but unexpectedly, she brought trouble upon herself.

The tightly packed crowd of spectators was suddenly rudely pushed aside by a row of cold, black-uniformed military police, clearing a path.

Through the opened path, Yiyi saw a black car that exuded an intimidating aura descend from the sky. In it sat a young, handsome black-uniformed officer, smiling yet with sinister corners on his lips, looking at Yiyi.

"Take the young lady away!"
