Chapter 1627: Chapter 1627: Freedom Lies Ahead

The helicopter was not small, a medium-sized transporter, with several cargo boxes tossed into the cabin.

Yiyi took a deep breath, jumped into the cockpit, turned on the power panel, and started operating it skillfully and swiftly. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Both she and her brother had received helicopter training and sometimes flew to nearby islands for fun, so this was not difficult for her.

She slowly pulled the joystick, watching as the helicopter gradually lifted off the ground, the seaside villa gradually receding into the distance in the morning light.

The sound of the helicopter taking off immediately alerted the pilot, who rushed out, dumbfounded to see his plane actually taking off, clutching his head in desperation and shouting angrily, ordering her to come down at once.

Yiyi didn’t care about him at all, sticking her head out, blowing a mischievous kiss towards him, and waving her hand.

She forcefully stepped on the pedal, pulled the helicopter to the right, and gradually flew out of the airstrip, heading over the sea.

At that moment, the sun was rising, golden rays shooting up from the horizon like vast sheets of gold brilliantly shining with a golden hue. Watching the morning sunrise, Yiyi felt a surge of fervor and ambition in her chest—freedom, hope, just ahead!

How could her future, Yiyi’s future, be limited to this place?

Limited to the luxurious and mundane life of an upper-class heiress.

She wanted an extraordinary future of her own, to become a truly self-made top achiever, to make this life worth living!

The servants were stunned, their faces turning white as they saw Yiyi taking off with the helicopter. Who didn’t know how important this Eldest Miss was to Young Master Ling Kong? Now that she had run away, they would be the ones in trouble.

They hurriedly rushed into the villa to find Ji Lingkong.

...

Yiyi opened up the compass and checked the nearby islands again. She didn’t dare go to the island where the pilot delivered goods; undoubtedly, he would report her, and she’d be caught as soon as she landed.

So, she could only choose another island.

She checked the fuel tank; fortunately, it was full, enough for her to fly five or six hours. So she chose a direction opposite to that goods delivery island, halfway farther, but the destination was a medium-sized coastal city.

She figured she would just find a coastal meadow to land on when she got there, as there was no way she would go to the airport. The ending would be grim; Brother Ling Kong would certainly have someone lying in wait at the airport.

About half an hour over the sea, the communications channel forcefully opened with an urgent and angry voice piercing through, carrying an irresistibly commanding tone.

"Yiyi, where are you flying the helicopter to?"

Yiyi was startled, her hand shook, and she almost nose-dived.

"Come back immediately! I order you, immediately!!!" his voice roared nearly in exasperation.

Yiyi’s expression changed, her small face showing annoyance and defiance, a surge of anger rising.

If he had spoken nicely, she might have planned to speak nicely too, but his commanding, authoritarian tone right from the start, she wasn’t having any of it.

"Brother Ling Kong, do you really think you can imprison me? You might keep me for a few days, but not for a lifetime. I have to leave you, and I’ll always find a chance; even if you lock me up, it won’t work."

"You..." Ji Lingkong clenched his fists, his heart felt like it was struck by a heavy hammer, pain twisting at him. Last night, seeing her wearing the dress he gave her, he thought despite her complaints, she still longed to marry him in her heart.

He was so happy, he couldn’t have been happier.
