Chapter 1619: Chapter 1619: Tilted Head

Jun Yiyi unceremoniously grabbed the half in front of him; she hadn’t eaten all day and felt like she could devour a whole cow.

Ji Lingkong saw her eat it without hesitation. It was something he had just eaten himself, which meant she was indirectly sharing his saliva. He couldn’t help but chuckle darkly.

"Yiyi, remember to come down and eat on time tomorrow."

"Got it. I just overslept today," Jun Yiyi thought bitterly. Like she dared not come down to eat, this heartless guy hadn’t even planned to save her a meal, tormenting her stomach intentionally.

If she truly starved, she’d be the unlucky one, so there was no need to let herself suffer out of a temporary grudge.

What’s more, this cunning guy surely had ways to deal with her. A single lobster had already broken her resolve. She really had no backbone!

"That’s good." Ji Lingkong smiled satisfactorily, reaching out to pat her head. "Once you’re full, go to sleep!"

"Can’t I take a stroll?"

Jun Yiyi was not that compliant.

"No, go to sleep, or should I say..." He grinned mischievously, "Do you want me to carry you up to bed?"

"No, thanks!" Jun Yiyi gritted her teeth and darted upstairs on her own.

Ji Lingkong covered his mouth, secretly laughing, then called out to her retreating figure, "I have to leave tomorrow. Make sure you stay put here."

Jun Yiyi paused for a moment, a light gleaming in her eyes. She said nothing, running back to her room.

Indeed, the next day, by the time she got up, Ji Lingkong had already left.

The villa’s chef prepared a lavish seafood meal for her. Sitting on the oceanfront terrace, enjoying the view while feasting, was quite pleasant. Except for remembering she was essentially under house arrest, clouding her mood.

In the vast sea, without even a passing boat, she found no means to contact the outside world.

That infuriating Brother Ling Kong, doing things so ruthlessly.

Yet, she couldn’t just resign herself to being trapped here, doing nothing.

Even if Brother Ling Kong was kind to her, imprisoning her in this domineering, foul manner was intolerable for someone who prized freedom. She wasn’t a pet; how could he treat her like this?

No, she definitely had to find a way to leave.

After eating, Jun Yiyi’s scheming mind started working. With Brother Ling Kong absent, she didn’t have to put on a facade. She walked freely around the villa, surveying the area.

Then she circled around the bay and spotted a yacht. However, the yacht was too large; after some thought, stealing and piloting it was unrealistic, as she couldn’t operate it alone.

Sigh, damn it, escaping seems impossible.

Could she really only remain trapped here until led down the aisle?

The thought sent shivers down her spine.

Jun Yiyi’s eyes darted around before heading back into the villa.

In the blink of an eye, several days passed. During this time, Brother Ling Kong returned once, but he only stayed half a day before leaving, likely to check if she had been disobedient. Seeing that she had dutifully stayed here, swimming, diving, and sunbathing these past few days, Ji Lingkong felt reassured. This girl seemed quite well-behaved.

Yet, how could Jun Yiyi be so compliant? Over these days, she had been diligently building rapport with everyone on the island, trying to gather information from them.

Finally, she managed to extract a clue: every three days, the nearest island would deliver vegetables and some daily necessities via helicopter.

No wonder she always had fresh veggies to eat; it turned out the place wasn’t completely isolated from the outside.

However, the helicopter usually arrived early in the morning.
